Chapter 27 – Legendary Noob Team
Taking a deep breath, Lin Ling focused his eyes on the crystal ball. Focusing his magic, his hands emitted a faint blue light as he touched the ball’s surface.
As his magic touched the crystal ball, it was like his mind was being pulled out of his body.
After a moment of dizziness, Lin Ling discovered that the room he was in before had completely disappeared, and in its place, there was a huge hall. He was standing in the middle of the hall, and four people were standing around him.
“Where is this?” Being his first time in a virtual battle, Lin Ling couldn’t help but make a stupid question, but after the words left his mouth he immediately regretted it.
“Oh, hahahaha! This is great, we got a rookie here! It looks like we are gonna be screwed pretty bad this time!” A summoner with a prominent nose laughed and said mercilessly.
Although Lin Ling’s other teammates were dissatisfied with what the man said, they also were reluctant to be partners with a newcomer like Lin Ling. They didn’t voice their opinions, but the look in their eyes betrayed their thoughts.
Lin Ling just shrugged his shoulders at their attitudes.
Observing the huge virtual screen in front of them, Lin Ling could observe the champions available to be selected. Apart from the free initial champions like Ashe the Frost Archer, Ryze the Rune Mage and Garen the Might of Demacia, there were other 10 different champions.
“Hmm..I guess this world is no different from the game in this sense…” Seeing the familiar champions, Lin Ling’s began to relax. He searched for Vi with his gaze and then made his choice.
As soon as Lin Ling choice was confirmed, he discovered his body has undergone certain changes. His height was reduced and his hands were covered in two very familiar looking hextech gauntlets!
“Is this big sister’s body?! Why would I…”
Surprised at the sudden change, Lin Ling took inhaled a mouthful of air and calmed down. Slowly, he moved his head a little to look down his body only to be faced by two impressive twin mounts. This was the first time he saw Vi’s breast so close, an he has to recognize they are impressive. Just when he was about to give in to his bad thoughts, a sudden voice sounded in his head.
“Lin Ling, although I don’t dislike it when you stare at then, I didn’t think you were this petty.” Vi’s voice suddenly appeared in Lin Ling’s mind and he almost lost his soul from the fright.
“Big sister! Where are you?” Regardless of his teammates strange gazes, Lin Ling looked around searching for the figure of Vi, but couldn’t find anything. He touched his head and muttered: “I’m hearing her voice in my head? Why? Did I just fell in love with her?”
“Hey! Did you just said that you fell in love with me? Boy, say it quickly!” The thrilled voice of Vi came out again in his head.
Now Lin Ling confirmed that the Vi’s consciousness and his own were combined in the virtual clone. Right now he is Vi, and Vi is he!
“Big sister, are you in my head?”
“Don’t change the subject! You just said that you fell in love with me right? If…If…If…really is like this…then I’ll say that I don’t mind getting married, but you have to be good to this old lady aright! But if you dare to fail me, I’ll rip your dick off with my hands!”
“Ouch...” That’s really cruel you know…wait! Now is not the time to have this sort of conversation!
During the exchange between Vi and Lin Ling, the two teams already made their choice of champions, and after determining that there wasn’t any option like Summoner Mastery or Rune Page like in the game, Lin Ling chose his two summoner spells, [Smite] and [Flash], then waited for the countdown to end.
“Hey! You haven’t answered me yet!” Vi’s dissatisfied voice resounded again in Lin Ling’s mind, reminding him that if he didn’t gave her a response then he probably won’t be able to sleep at night.
“If you’re asking if I like you? Then yes, I like you a lot…but about love…I’m not sure. Vi, I’m nothing more than a little Elementary Summoner, and you are a powerful and mighty champion. If we were to be together, although no one would be able to stop us, what would everybody think about this? So I hope to get stronger before we discuss about this thigs again. Until then, can you wait for me?” Lin Ling countenance changed as he said those words. He looked gentle and his voice was soft like that of a celestial being. All of this, plus his handsome appearance, made Vi’s heart skip a beat.
“Okay…okay! You already said so…I’ll wait and see…Anyway, this old lady has been single for so many years already, what is a little more time?” While she was saying this, her tone of voice turned lower and lower, until she was completely unintelligible.
A yordel with a giant furred creature behind him was surrounded with a variety of weapons. Only then did Lin Ling came to himself in surprise. “It’s true that I entered the Summoner’s Rift!”
“Yeah rookie, stop wasting your time and buy equipment already! Your summoner spells are very good though. You actually have [Smite]. What are you waiting for? Quickly buy your equipment and hurry to the jungle!” A teammate who chose Ashe as a champion bought 5 bottles of red potion ad 5 bottles of blue potion, then hurried towards the botton line of the rift.
“…” Looking at the things the guy bought, Lin Ling suddenly had a scare. “Is that the legendary 5 red and 5 blue potions build?”
Lin Ling was very puzzled right now. Back on earth, even if you are a complete n00b you still can buy the recommended equipment so you won’t do any stupidity like buying 5 of each potions. How could something like this happen? “I can’t see why my teammates would do something like this. Aren’t they professionals? How are they unaware of this common knowledge? Why aren’t they guided by other summoners?”
“Guide what guide. This system arranges the match according to the archives of the College of War and the summoners will be matched according to their total number of battles. If you are participating for the first time then you’ll be matched with other rookies. Who can guide you in here? Not being misled by others is already considered ok.”
After hearing to Vi’s explanation, his gaze towards his 4 teammates turned strange. “Isn’t this the legendary noob team?”
