Chapter 21
Just when Annie was feeling cornered and didn’t know what to do, the sound of sirens could be heard coming from outside. Hearing a familiar voice, Annie was filled with ecstasy and she ran out of the house to face the outside: “Caitlyn sister! Help!”
Outside of the house, Caitlyn was driving a police car after having received a call from the police station. Once she was informed of the situation here, she rushed to this part of the city at top speed. But he didn’t expect to hear a familiar voice when she was taking off her helmet.

“You finally woke up, boy.” Sitting on a chair close to the bed, she said coldly to Lin Ling whilst holding her beloved sniper rifle with both hands.
“Thank you Ms. Police Officer. If I’m not wrong you should have been the one who saved me.”
“Yes.” Caitlyn just nodded and admitted it.
“I have no way to repay you for saving my life, but as long as you need it, I can help you with anything I can in the future.”
“Enough of your nonsense!” Without showing any form of compassion, she slammed her foot on Lin Ling’s stomach.
“Ah!” Lin Ling cried miserably because of her sudden action.
“Wait! What are you doing?! Why do you need to abuse the sick?! Did I say something to make you unhappy?!”
Caitlyn completely ignored Lin Ling’ painful expression and said: “I don’t care who you are, nor why you are approaching Annie, but as long as I’m here, I won’t let her fall into your trap!” Caitlyn looked at Lin Ling with extremely cold eyes, and the threat in the tone of her voice couldn’t be more apparent.
“Purpose? Excuse miss, can’t you see my strength? I’m just an Elementary Summoner. If I tried to do something to Annie, there’s no need for you to do something. She can kill me herself!” Lin Ling smiled bitterly. This legendary policewoman was completely different from what he imagined.
