Chapter 20 – Caitlyn sister! Help!
The multiplied damage effect of [Mortal Strike] finally showed itself!
A bite in one of the most vulnerable parts of the human body, plus the special effect of [Mortal Strike] made double the normal damage!
Blood covered Lin Ling’s face and even his eyes weren’t spared. Lin Ling didn’t pay attention to this however, and his eyes stayed wide open as Ghost Knife’s blood sprayed all over him.
The sudden loss of blood caused the amount of blood in Ghost Knife’s body to hit a critical point. His legs went soft as he fell to the ground with a thud. Every time he thought the bleeding would subside and was about to give a sigh of relief, the wound would burst open again. It was like an underground spring, constantly emerging.
“Save...save me!” Lying on the ground powerlessly, Ghost Knife extended his hand towards the Shotgun Man and called for help with his hoarse voice.
“Help me and kill this bastard! Ah!” Unfortunately, the Shotgun Man was already scared witless by the scene in front of his eyes. To him, the Lin Ling who was drenched in blood from head to toe was like a demon who just crawled from hell.
Finally, the anger in the eyes of Ghost Knife disappeared as his gaze became dull. The ferocious criminal who dominated this area for a long time was dead.
Except for Ghost Knife’s men, there was no people on the streets. The rest of the people were like Lub. Too afraid to go out of their home and be seen by these thugs.
Without caring about the pain in his body, Lin Ling didn’t celebrate his victory yet and looked coldly at the Shotgun Man.
Being stared by those pairs of murderous eyes made the Shotgun Man terrified, and without thinking twice he fled the scene.
“Finally it’s over!” Lin Ling let out a sigh of relief. Those few minutes of fighting felt like an eternity to him. Fortunately, the goddess of luck was on his side this time.
Even if his body was in extreme pain, Lin Ling made no more than gasping. He could still feel the blood of his enemy covering his body, and the blood in his mouth was swallowed at some point.
“Now it’s time to rescue Annie!” Taking in a deep breath, Lin Ling clenched his teeth as he dragged his heavy feet towards Lub’s house. The majority of the energy that filled his body before had already left him, and only the pain from his multiple injuries remained.
His left hand that was hit by Ghots Knife was supporting his body along the wall. With every step he took, there would be a bloody hand print left on the wall, and another bloody footprint on the ground.
These is the blood of his enemies! He was literally stepping on his enemy’s blood to rescue Annie!
These aren’t just footprints, but Lin Ling’s determination!
When Lin Ling opened the courtyard’s door of Lub’s house and the latter saw his current appearance through the window, the poor guy couldn’t help but faint.
Being honest, Lin Ling is not looking pretty good right now. His eyes were bloodshot, combining the clothes completely stained in red by the blood of Ghost Knife. Both of his hands were swollen and looked deformed because of constantly blocking Ghost Knife’s punches. With every step he took, drops of blood would fall to the ground, giving him a ghastly appearance.
This place is not earth, but Valoran! A magical world where zombies are not fiction but an actual creature! You can’t blame Lub, this poor civilian, to faint at such sight.
“Annie…I’ve come to save you!” Looking at the front door of the house, Lin Ling’s heart was beating like mad as he cried insanely: “Be sure to be okay! Please!” Enduring the pain in his hands, Lin Ling pushed open the door and looked up at the inside of the house.
Annie’s figure was there!
He saw her! She was sitting quietly on a chair, as if she knew that Lin Ling would come to save her eventually.
“Annie…please don’t run around next time…” The enormous relief he felt looking at a safe and sound Annie made the weight on Lin Ling’s shoulders disappear. Smiling, Lin Ling closed his eyes and ultimately lost consciousness.
“Big brother!” Cried out Annie when she saw Lin Ling suddenly faint. Looking at his bloodied appearance, Annie’s eyes shed tears of regret. Without care for the bloodstained clothes, her two little hands didn’t stop shaking Lin Ling. “Big brother, this is not your fault! Annie will not pretend to be abducted again! Please wake up! Don’t die big brother!”
In fact, Annie really did something stupid, but she really did not think that Lin Ling would suffer such an injury because of her act. She even chose ordinary people to pretend to be abducted so that the difficulty wouldn’t be high enough to pose a threat. She only wanted Lin Ling to pay more attention to her.
Alas, the heavens weren’t on her side. Who would have thought that Lub debt collector was a Level 2 Warrior.
Actually, Annie discovered Ghost Knife since his arrival, but she only stayed inside the house because Lin Ling was already there. If it weren’t for the fact that she didn’t want her act of being kidnapped to be revealed, she would have instantly broken out of the house to finish Ghost Knife.
She was aware of everything happening outside, and her heart ached with regret every time Lin Ling was being hit by Ghost Knife. Because of her own selfishness, she could only look at his big brother being bullied by others. Lin Ling’s crazy look as he shouted her name almost made her heart break.
“Nhhhmmm!” Annie’s energy was exhausted after shaking Lin Ling’s body for so long. Even if she is a strong magician, she still has the body of a little girl, so it’s impossible for her to move Lin Ling’s body too much.
The injuries in Lin Ling’s body were getting more serious by the minute, and may even endanger his life at any moment.
Just when Annie was feeling cornered and didn’t know what to do, the sound of sirens could be heard coming from outside. Hearing a familiar voice, Annie was filled with ecstasy and she ran out of the house to face the outside: “Caitlyn sister! Help!”
