Chapter 16 – Lightning Raid
He needs to do it sneakily though. Lin Ling is not without discretion after all and rushing into the group of people while screaming would be a foolish action. If he were to do that, he may not even be able to get close to the person with the shotgun before he’s shot to death.
Lin Ling is a Level 1 warrior without battle qi. He knew that such a thing would be okay against ordinary people, but if he were to face a warrior who cultivated battle qi, then he could only take a beating.
As he has no magic nor battle qi, Lin Ling simply cannot determine the strength of other people.
Three men have iron pipes, four have machetes and one has a shotgun. From this one can deduce that there aren’t any warriors between this group of people.
“Don’t be afraid, as long as the other side is an ordinary person, if you don’t reveal any flaw then you won’t lose. You can do it!” His right hand gripped the dagger firmly as he continued to cheer himself up. With his increase in strength and the weapon’s mastery granted by [Mortal Strike], Lin Ling has the confidence to deal with this group of people.
“It’s a pity that is not a sword,” Lin Ling shook his head and took a deep breath. Like a cat, he approached the group of people using the street as a cover.
It was the first time Lin Ling was doing something like this, but for some reason he felt and unfamiliar sense of familiarity, as if he were a trained veteran.

Sneaking cautiously, he soon came to a stop behind a large wooden box close to the group of people.

“The distance is about 3 meters…” Lin Ling stared at the man with a shotgun that was surrounded by several people. Perhaps it was his experience from earth that Lin Ling felt this man was the greatest threat to himself.
Three men were standing in the space between Lin Ling and the man with the shotgun, and there were other four behind them. All of them have bodies filled with muscle.
Lin Ling did not move. He was still waiting for an opportunity. He was like a tiger lingering quietly in the grass, waiting for his pray to show his flaws.
“Now!” Suddenly, Lin Ling’s eyes lit up. Just as the shotgun man putted down the weapon to pull out a cigarette from his pocket, Lin Ling finally moved!
Lin Ling kicked the floor and propelled himself forward as fast as an arrow. Flying over the wooden box, Lin Ling moved at an incredible speed towards the man with the shotgun!
The power of a Level 1 Warrior manifested itself at that moment. Me he struck the first person in front, Lin Ling discovered that his strength was even greater than what he imagined. Without the ability to even retaliate, the first man went down under Lin Ling’s assault.
At this moment the group of people finally saw Lin Ling and revealed horrified expressions. With a cruel smile, Lin Ling punched the stomach of a second person, making him vomit and faint on the spot.
“There’s still one person!” Two people have already passed out, so he only has to deal with another one before attacking the man with the shotgun! Staring forward intently, Lin Ling discovered the man with the shotgun withdrawing his hand from his pocket and trying to put his finger on the trigger.
“Don’t even think about it!” He shouted aloud as he increased his speed.
When he arrived in front of the third person, he obviously made more preparations than the other two. The iron bar in the hand of the thug has already fallen and was only a few centimeters in front of Lin Ling’s head. He raised the hand holding the dagger unconsciously. In that instant, the dagger cut the iron bar in two sections as easy as if it were cutting tofu.
“Go away!”
At the same time, he punched the man with his left hand, sending him flying in the other direction. After passing through the third person, Lin Ling finally arrived at his ultimate goal, the thug holding the shotgun!
“Die!” Lin Ling’s eyes were bloodshot, and he suddenly felt as if the world was covered in a layer of red.
Like a lethal snake, the dagger shot towards the neck of the shotgun man.
When he thought he had succeeded, he was surprised to realize that the man had let go of the shotgun and threw it at Lin Ling. A firearm is not a toy that can be thrown casually because there could be an accident, but that was exactly what the man wanted. Seeing this, Lin Ling gave up on attacking a crossed his arms in front of him trying to defend himself, but suddenly the barrel of the shotgun let out a blast.
“Ah!”
The severe pain in his hands made Lin Ling Inhaled cold air. There was no time to see how much damage his arm had taken from the by the shotgun as he still wanted to kill the man.
It’s just that Lin Ling underestimated the speed of the shotgun man. In that moment Lin Ling stopped because of the pain, the man already ran behind the other four thugs. Throwing a look full of fear at Lin Ling, he ordered the remaining thugs: “Attack! Kill this crazy bastard!”
“Yes!” After receiving the order, they did not hesitate to raise their weapons and rushed over to Lin Ling.
“No good!” Looking at the fearless group of 4 Lin Ling’s heart fell. He just defeated three people relying on sneak attacks to succeed, but fighting head on was another matter altogether.
Looking at Annie’s dagger on his hands, Lin Ling’s heart steeled. He let out a crazy laugh and said: “If I cannot even deal with just 4 petty little thugs, how can I protect Annie?!”
As the four people rushed up to Lin Ling, the shotgun man breathed a sigh of relief. Fear still lingering on his eyes as he looked at Lin Ling’s dagger. The impact he received when the dagger cut the iron pipe wasn’t little. That sharpness proves that it’s an extraordinary weapon! That dagger must be a rune weapon!
Taking a good look at this young man, the shotgun man was puzzled. He didn’t know this person at all, why did he attack so suddenly?
“It’s one of the boss’s enemies?” Thinking of his boss, the shotgun man showed a trace of fear.
That man is a demon! As long as someone doesn’t listen to him, he wouldn’t hesitate to chop that person in two with that gigantic sword of his! Only blood can calm his anger!
Most importantly, that man is a warrior! A warrior who can manipulate battle qi, and already crossed the threshold to become a Level 2 Warrior!
