Chapter 1 - At the border of beginning
In the middle of a lush forest, towering trees rise above the ground, casting their shadows on the grass bellow. From time to time several small animals could be seen, and the sound of mosquitoes is like a perpetual symphony that only they can understand.
The forest is really gloomy. No one knows what sort of creatures will jump out from the darkness of such environment. Suddenly, a human figure appears in the field of vision. As he walked slowly and cautiously in the deserted forest, the man grabbed every mushroom that he came across and shove it into his mouth to satiate his excruciating hunger.
Even the wet and sticky soil on the roots of the mushrooms is not spared. The mushrooms in the nearby area is quickly eaten clean by this person. It took less than 10 minutes to fill his belly with the fungi. The man let out a scream as his body protested in dissatisfaction.
With a wry smile, he sat on the ground, looking around at the virgin forest. His face filled with tears of agony.
“Where the hell is this!? Why would I still be here!? It’s already the fourth day! Why is this dream not over yet!?”
Is this really a dream? On the first day, this figure pinched his cheek really hard and can still feel the pain. This is clearly the real world! Over the last few days, in order to meet the basic needs of human survival, he has been eating and drinking from everything he could find in the endless forest.
I must say that this person’s luck is pretty good for not having been discovered already by a man-eating beast after wandering aimlessly inside this forest for 4 days in a row.
But this day, the young man’s body finally can no longer handle the strain and collapsed on the ground.
Human beings can survive without food for seven days by sheer willpower, but they cannot do the same without water. If the body does not receive water for three days, a human can die.
Fortunately, it rained frequently in the forest, so the young man didn’t die from thirst. However, the energy and physical strength in his body were already consumed.
If he cannot find a way out of this forest really soon, then he will stay here forever. After his death, even animals won’t be able to find his body, and will slowly decay, becoming nutrients for the nearby plant life.
“I need water!”
The life in the eyes of this person was gradually fading, and when he was about to give up, the young man’s ears suddenly moved. The sound of running water came into his ears, and he abruptly stood up. A light flashed through his eyes and as if he were injected by chicken’s blood, (TLN: Some Chinese saying) he headed towards the source of the sound at top speed.
His desire for survival was completely stimulated this time. Hearing the sound of water stimulated all the hidden potential of the human body, making him almost super human for a brief moment.
When god closes a door, he opens a window. As long as you don’t give up, there will be an opportunity to turn around the situation.
What does the sound of running water represent? It represents the river, what is there in the river? Food! And endless supply of food! As long as you have a way to catch fish, then the food in the river is enough to support you for an entire lifetime!
“Water! Water! Water!”
His eyes were red, and his mouth continued to chant like an evil spirit. Even if a peerless beauty were to walk by, he wouldn’t divert his eyes. The most important is your own life! He finally saw the light for the first time in 4 days after being submerged in darkness!
Rush out of the forest! Suddenly, the young man’s feet slipped, his body’s center of gravity immediately leaned forward. When he thought he was going to fall, he discovered he was still falling. He unconsciously opened his eyes and saw no the blackened soil, but a crystal clear blue.
“What!”
As soon as he fell into the river, the young man who entered the water did not feel the slightest panic. Instead, he held his breath and opened his eyes for the first time.
“A lot of fish!” The river is not only 30 meters wide, but is also unusually deep and innumerable fish are constantly swimming at the bottom.
Watching this group of plump fishes, his stomach made a call of hunger.

As night fell, the sky gradually became dark. The youth ignited a bonfire as he has done in the forest for the last 4 days. You could also do the same thing by watching the adventures of Berl Grills.
The fish caught in the afternoon was roasted on a wooden stick over the fire.
Looking at the fish on the bonfire, the young man burst into tears. Four days! A full 4 days! He will eat something more than fruits or leaves! He has not eaten meat at all, not to mention cooked meat.
He looked at the fish while wiping the tears off his eyes.
When the fish was finally cooked, the young man smiled as he cried, and ate the fish in his hands, slowly recalling what happened four days ago.
The young man named Lin Ling is just one of many city dwellers. He was at the second year of college in an ordinary third-rate university.
It was a sunny day, and he decided to laze around in the school dormitory during the weekend. His only roommate went out to spend some time with his girlfriend, so he stayed alone and the normally crowded dormitory became empty.
In order to pass some time, Lin Ling took out the laptop that has accompanied him for 5 years from his bag. Although it was not comparable to the new models in the market, it was usable.
Also, it is more than enough to play some online games. After a little wait, the machine went on.
As a young man, Lin Ling likes to follow the trends. He likes to play the games that most people plays, or according to his words “Games with a large number of people must be good games!”
Looking at the big “L” icon on his desktop, Lin Ling smiled and silently double-clicked on it.
“League of Legends”, also known as LoL is a game developed by an American company called Riot Games where you control characters known as heroes to battle other people’s champions.
In addition to real-time strategy and team-operations, “League of Legends” also has unique heroe's mechanics, automatic matching battlefield platforms, summoner mastery, runes and many other elements. The beautiful game’s screen conquered the eyes of Lin Ling from the moment of its appearance.
