Jiang Han hadn’t researched the legacy for long before he decided to stop. He was already proficient with the entry-level knowledge, and the part he was working on right now required significant amount of time and effort. There wouldn’t be any breakthroughs in the short-term, and he plan to do an in-depth research in the near future.
Jiang Han got on his bed and flip-opened his phone, he wanted to search for a place with good food since he promise Su Yuxin that he would text her a location. However the fact was, Jiang Han was completely clueless on this matter. Typically, a university student should be an expert on this, but Jiang Han’s university life was mostly dedicated to going through medical books and running experiments.
He only realise he had no experience with this just when he needed this the most. He looked through his phone over and over but he still couldn’t decide on a location and in the end he decided to give up and sent Su Yuxin a text.
“Junior sister, I think it would be better if a local like yourself picked out the location. Forgive me, I really have no idea where to go……”
“I figured as much, haha. Why don’t you tell me what you want to eat and I’ll recommend a spot. After all, when it comes to food, I’m an expert.”
Jiang Han was a little embarrass, he didn’t understand what Su Yuxin was laughing about. It didn’t seem like there was anything funny.
“You are the lead character tomorrow, and I’m just an attendee. We’ll go with whatever you decide.” Since Jiang Han wanted to thank Su Yuxin so naturally he would do his best to accommodate any of her request.
“Okay okay, let’s meet at the street in the middle of the city tomorrow. I’ll let you experience what’s it like to go out with a woman.
Both of them went back and forth for a while before ending the conversation. Jiang Han was long accustomed to not sleeping and had replaced it with meditation and cultivation. The result of this was pretty good, he felt even more invigorated in comparison with a well-rested sleep.
After he was done conversing with Su Yuxin, he began to cultivate. A simple example would be if there was a fish bone stuck in the throat, he could remove it without using any tools like a pair of tweezers. There are also a lot of other afflictions that could be cured simply by removing an object, but because it was difficult to do so, it typically required a large amount of resources and effort.
Besides, there are no shortage of situation in which an ability like telekinesis would be useful in. Once he mastered this ability, then he was for sure to opened up and discover a brand new world. As for the specifics, he would naturally learnt of them when the time came.
As depicted in movies and films, the ability to raise a hand and snatch another person’s sword away or to slice with a wave of a hand as if it was with a sword, was essentially a high level realm of using Qi to materialise the sword. In actuality, wasn’t it the same as having telekinesis, except that the shaman’s legacy version was the technique of Immortals, it is definitely stronger.
Jiang Han wasn’t just beginning to learn this technique, in fact he had begun when he initially first notice its existence. Right now, he had already understood the gist of it. According to his calculations, after another day or two then he would be able to successfully utilise this technique. What followed next was the matter of familiarizing and mastering the ability.
The night passed by quickly, and since Jiang Han did not like it when others were late so he naturally had the habit of not being late himself. Jiang Han woke up extra early the next day, he wanted to look for a set newer clothes, but even after looking through his luggage numerous times he still could not find anything acceptable.
He now knew of Su Yuxin’s extraordinary status, and although he was going out with her, he did not feel that she would mind how he dressed himself. But he wanted to avoid unnecessary criticism from others, furthermore, he wasn’t living on the planet alone, how other people viewed him was also similarly a reflection of himself.
Jiang Han left the house way before the appointed time as he wanted some time to shop for a new set of clothes. His family was impoverished, therefore Jiang Han rarely had the chance to go shopping for new clothes, and he would wear the same few sets of clothes all year round. After all these years, it became a habit of his.
Now that he was shopping for new clothes on his own, he realise that buying a set of clothes wasn’t as simple as he thought it would be. Since he agreed to meet Su Yuxin in the city centre, he also decidedly looked for his clothes there as well.
However, even after much time, he was still unfruitful in his endeavours. This was because every shop that he entered, it made him very anxious when he looked at the price tags. He was shocked to find that a thin short-sleeved T-shirt was priced at least four to five hundred. Even the advertised 1% discount bore no difference as if there wasn’t any discount to begin with.
The price for a pair of trousers was even more exaggerated, and in the end he just wanted to find a pair that only had a three figure price tag. Even though he entered many different shops, this was the city centre’s main street, it was Jiangsu’s most prominent and expensive shopping street. When you consider the quality to price ratio, small brands did not have the qualifications to open a shop here nor would they choose to.
All the shops here were at least middle range brands, the prices were naturally spectacular. It wasn’t possible for Jiang Han to find any budget priced clothes here, moreover he was not familiar with the area, so even if there were cheaper alternatives, he would not be able to find it.
He spent considerably a lot more time than he expected on this, and in the end he was able to find a shop called “H&W”. He finally was able to find a satisfactory set of clothes for himself, the clothes looked acceptable and so was the price.
He purposely wore a set of old clothes that was on the verge of tatters, so when he switch to his newly brought clothes, he properly folded his old clothes and placed them in the trash bin. A look at the time after that indicated that it was closed to the appointed time, so he hurried his steps and made his way to the entrance of the city centre main street.
He hadn’t waited for more than 5 minutes when Su Yuxin walked out of a cab. When she got out and saw Jiang Han, she was obviously a little surprised. Since young, her father had thought her that it was better to wait than to be late, no matter the circumstances.
This was why Su Yuxin did not have the habit of being late, on the contrary she would normally be a little early. Fortunately, Jiang Han was slightly quicker and he managed to get here before Su Yuxin did.
“Ai, Junior sister, you’re early.” Jiang Han smiled and greeted her.
“I figured you might be here extra early, I’m sorry to have made you wait.” Su Yuxin smiled. Even thought it was autumn in October, the bout of hot spell was still strong which made the weather pretty hot. Su Yuxin was wearing a two piece dress, the top piece was a flower printed colourful blouse and it was matched with a white skirt, she also had a Panama hat on her head. Su Yuxin was quite thorough with her outfit.
“Haha, Senior, come closer.” When she saw Jiang Han moved closer to her, she suddenly started giggling because she saw that Jiang Han’s trousers still had the price tag hanging out from the side.
Jiang Han didn’t notice anything weird as he walked towards her curiously. When he got near her, Su Yuxin had one hand covering her mouth and the other pointing at the apparent price tag.
Jiang Han shifted his gaze to the location her finger was pointing at, and when he discovered it, he was embarrass and then he quickly pulled the tag off.
“Aiya, Senior don’t.” Su Yuxin tried to stop him when she saw the situation, but she was a little too fast and her hand grabbed onto Jiang Han’s. When she realised what happened, she immediately let go and her faced turned a bright red.
