______

The cloth strip on Ye You's head was personally wound by Wenren Heng, very carefully, only the eyes, mouth and nose are exposed, and the rest is covered closely, so that upon looking, on the neck there appeared to be a snow white lantern, this, upon entering, attracted all the attention in the lobby.

This kind of scene that was watched by many people made Ye You faintly have a sense of familiarity. Not only was he not uncomfortable, but he was quite composed and calmly watching his family's shixiong.

The shopkeeper was closest to them, and clearly heard the “lantern” saying that he would sleep at night with this luxuriant, jade-like god, who is half a head taller than him. He felt that both the image and the will of the disabled person were very touching. Better be silent than excessive, don’t bear to think about it.

“Shopkeeper,” Wenren Heng's voice remained gentle and unchanged, and repeated the words he had said after passing through the door, “give us one upstairs room.”

“……Okay.”The thought in the storekeeper's brain was colorful and varied, and his expression and voice compiled, and brought out a key, hinting for the waiter to lead them upstairs, once there was distance, he took back his line of sight and sighed.

The wooden planks of the stairs were dark black, and when stepped on, made a loud noise. Wenren Heng walked in front, looking at the layer of copper paint on the edge of the step, the corner of his mouth quirked.

This was to want me disgusted?

Not only, he should also probe, he wants to take seize the chance to see what reactions I have, what is he suspecting?

Wenren Heng’s train of thought quickly circled around the brain. He slowly stepped into the room, looking at the layout inside, he felt quite satisfied, then told the waiter to get some food, and then took out the square towel and the Hundred Herb Dew.

Ye You understood and happily undid his belt, waiting for him to remove the cloth strip.

Wenren Heng sat down beside him, and he applied his medicine as usual. He noticed that Ye You had been staring at him and finally looked at him: “At night you sleep inside, I'll sleep outside.”

Ye You laughed: “Those words we exchanged, shixiong can treat it as if they weren't heard.”

Wenren Heng's eyes flashed a little complicated look, and then after he pressed it down, calmly asked: “You said that you like men, is it true?”

Ye You said: “Naturally.”

Wenreng Heng has not enough, asked: “Naturally, or not naturally?”

Ye You raised eyebrows: "Shixiong desires which one?”

Wenren Heng firmly said: “It doesn’t matter which one, you are still my shidi, don’t have flights of fancy, better sleep peacefully at night,” he said, and seeing his shidi, he still wanted to speak, lightly sighed, patted his shidi's shoulders, and using a kind of "be obedient, don't be rowdy" toward a child, benevolent tone, said, “Don't worry, shixiong's martial arts are higher than yours. You can’t defeat me. What is there really? I pressed your sleeping acupuncture point.”

Ye You: “…”

Wenren Heng carried the frame of “good shixiong”, educated with great enthusiasm: “Right now you have injuries on your body, remember not to indulge in debauchery(1), drink less wine, and wait until your wounds heal to discuss matters.”

Ye You was like an extremely smart and lovable child, it seemed that even the voice has become sweeter than usual: “I understand, shixiong.”

Wenren Heng comforted with a “hmm” sound, tidied up his shidi's injuries, said: “Put on your clothes, I'll go and prompt the waiter to get some hot water when convenient.”

He got up and went out, and went downstairs, turned a corner and at this time put a hand to his forehead, lowered his head and laughed, standing.

The waiter is holding the food upstairs and seeing him come out can not help but stop.

Wenren Heng stopped laughing when he heard the footsteps and took the tray with pleasure. The waiter's hands were empty, and he was eager to explain why he was late for a while but he saw this noble son(2) give him a tip. He gawked, suddenly moved, secretly thought he has met a noble guest, not only was the temper good, when the hand comes out it is also generous, compared to those people who scratch their foot and are coarse, is not at all the same!

Wenren Heng unhurriedly returned to the room to have the meal with his shidi, seeing his family's shidi's attitude like it was in the past, he unexpectedly couldn't make out a least bit of a spark of that air, secretly he really endured it.

The sky quickly dimmed, the candlelight swayed, the window paper held a haloed layer of warm yellow, and the surroundings gradually became quiet. When Wenren Heng was undressing, he saw the jade pendant, and immediately picked it up and handed it to his shidi.

That jade is spotlessly white and without fault, with a black rope braided with flowers, and was held in Wenren Heng's long, slender hand, sufficed with a low-key luxurious aesthetic. Ye You, for a long time, had already wanted to look at this piece of jade, which had been said to be on his own body, and he took it: “What?”

“Accept it,” Wenren Heng said softly. “It was originally carved for you.”

Ye You asked: “Don’t you think that I am inauspicious?”

Of course, he just asked casually. After all, if Wenren Heng could be stumped by this problem, he would not be Wenren Heng.

Sure enough, the next moment, he heard that this person did not change his expression and told him that before he had met a pair who had a particularly good fellow male disciples relationship. He thought of him for a moment, so he wanted to sculpt a piece of jade, and had been prepared to climb up the mountain next year during Qing Ming (3), the one person, chilly, cold and dismal, to bury it into his grave.

“…” Ye You has an impulse to sigh. This is the second time he feels, that encountering such a person after getting amnesia, his luck is a bit bad, but he feels that if it is too easy, he will lose a lot of fun, and it'd be boring.

He avoided being superfluous and inquiring of his shixiong if he had set up a cenotaph (*an empty tomb or a monument erected in honour of a person whose remains are elsewhere), and began to look at the jade pendant. The pattern above is very strange. He searched for a loop in his mind. He doesn't remember seeing this flower on other jade pendant, and couldn’t help but slowly touch it, then suddenly realized what it was and said, “Angelica tree flower?”

Wenren Heng's eyes are curved, and the eyes seemed to be filled with a candle-like warmth, which was more elegant. However, although it is pleasing to the eye, Ye You always feels that there is some kind of unclear meaning, some unknown implication within. He has not yet opened his mouth. He only heard that Wenren Heng say with a smile: “Yes, Angelica tree flower.”

Ye You was completely not prepared to undertake a deep investigation, even the eyelids are not cooperating, he pocketed the jade pendant, and calmly climbed onto bed to rest.

______

1)This word was semi-censored in the raws as 纵-欲, and the first character can mean "vertical" or "to indulge" and in my confused mind I nearly translated it as "horizontal desires".

2)gongzi is a pronoun/term of address, like how "sir" is. Before I left gongzi untranslated after the first footnote but now I have an Editor now(:D) and will be going back to make changes to some of my translation choices, such as turning all “gongzi” into “noble son”.

3)Pure Brightness Festival /Tomb Sweeping Day – happens in early April
Wikipedia – "During Qingming, Chinese families visit the tombs of their ancestors to clean the gravesites, pray to their ancestors, and make ritual offerings. Offerings would typically include traditional food dishes, and the burning of joss sticks and joss paper."

Last month I overheard an interesting conversation on how Qing Ming goes for immigrant Chinese-Americans/their descendants. It can be complicated, what with the ocean being in the way, and on US soil it's tough to bring a whole roasted pig into some places.
