"What? You are not going to kill me?" she asked indifferently.
He withdrew his hand and stepped backward, fixing his eyes on her, wondering whether she was telling the truth. But he couldn't tell from her calm face what she was thinking about.
"I didn't lie to you. I tried to kill him not because of you," she opened her mouth again.
"What do you mean by that?" he asked in confusion.
"Do you still remember the first time we met each other. Four men in black were chasing after me to kill me. They were sent by Nangong Jun," she said, staring at him.
"Why did Nangong Jun send his people to kill you?"
"He had a thing for me, and asked me to be his woman, but I refused and beat his people up. I did something to his car. Unfortunately, he wasn't killed that time. I was hurt too, so I could only let him go."
