"Damn it!" A murderous look flashed across Song Yan's eyes. While turning on the Light of Life to cure his wounds, he flew towards the direction where the man escaped. However, the man was nowhere to be found.
After several hundred meters, Song Yan stopped and calmed down.
As he stood still, a bullet fell, making a tinkling sound as it hit the ground and rolled across the street.
His skins were as clean and smooth as they had been. If people ignored his blood-stained T-shirt, they would have no idea that he got shot on the shoulder.
"What an amazing skill the Light of Life is!" he couldn't help but sigh to himself.
Bending over to pick up the bullet, he gazed it for a long time and then put it into his pocket. Undeniably, he had become much prouder and more confident after having the ring system. He decided to keep the bullet to remind himself that he was not the strongest man in the world and he must always be careful.
After returning to his dormitory, he washed the blood off the bullet and planned to drill a hole on it to make it a pendant.
Then he entered the bathroom to take a shower. After that, he walked out of the bathroom, but saw a woman sitting on his chair. She wore a black suit which accentuated her perfect body.
He stood still in alarm. "You are Bloody Rose?"
She nodded without saying a word.
Recalling what had happened not long ago, he was unable to restrain his fury. "Aren't you going to explain everything to me?"
She grabbed a black plastic bag and threw it towards him. He caught it and stared at her in confusion.
"Open it. Here's my explanation," she said in a calm tone.
Not knowing what it, he opened it, but his eyes narrowed at the sight of the thing in the bag. He dropped the bag, dashed into the bathroom and retched violently.
After a long time, he walked out, his face pale as death. "Who's he?" he asked as he fixed his eyes upon her. He didn't expect it to be the man's head, who had attacked him earlier.
"He's Hans, one of the top ten killers of the Dark World, second only to me. He wanted to kill me and become the top killer. What a pity! He was killed by me just now," she stated in a calm voice.
Though she was expressionless, the news she revealed shocked him. After a short pause, he asked, "Dark World? Is it an organization of killers?"
"You're right. It is the most powerful organization of killers in the world."
"Since you both are the killers of the Dark World, will you be punished for having killed Hans?" he asked in curiosity.
"Of course, I will be. But I've escaped from the Dark World, and they sent Hans to kill me." She looked at him and continued, "Well, thanks to you, I killed Hans. If he were not hurt by you before, I would haven't killed you successfully."
On hearing her words, he changed his face and questioned, "You mean, you saw Hans attack me?"
"Yes, I did," she admitted it as she fixed her eyes on his shoulder where he got shot, eyes full of interests.
"Damn it! She saw it! What am I going to do? I should kill her to keep my secret," he thought to himself.
