"What the f**k! Goddamed!"

Wu Qiujun yelled furtively right after Wandong looked away. He clenched his fists, nails pressing into his flesh. But he even didn't feel the pain out of sheer anger.

Yes, he had long sensed something weird in Wandong's unusual goodwill. He, by no stretch of the imagination, had ever predicted when exactly Wandong was gonna take action.

He, indeed, announced the price hike in full view before Qiu Yunchong showed up.

The additional one thousand kilos gold per raw stone, nevertheless, was simply a decision made on a whim.

It would have eluded him if Wandong hadn't brought it up.

He doubled the price in a bid to provoke Wandong.

The price hike, however, made himself fall hostage to it. He went for wool but came back shorn.

He even wondered whether Wandong had long foreseen what was gonna happen and deliberately provoked him into doubling the price.

If so, Wandong was literally the most threatening adversary he had ever met.

On thinking of that, a wave of quivers ran across Wu Qiujun in spite of himself.

In the meantime, Duan Lengyan went struck dumb as well, striking her mouth wide open and staring at Wandong speechlessly.

"Eh? Wu QIujun, are you okay? You look a bit green!"

Looking at Wu Qiujun, Wandong inquired about his health in a hilariously serious tone, appearing like Wu's next to kin.

Leng Yuecui, Wu Yang and Zong Qi almost burst out laughing — Wu Qiujun, as a matter of fact, would have spat out blood out of sheer indignation.

"Wu Qiujun, what's going on?"

Qiu Yunchong had a fit, looking increasingly grim.

Tang Xinyin couldn't help but look back at Xu Wenchuan.

"His royal highness, what…what's on earth is that?"

Xu Wenchuan shook his head lightly, looking confused as well.

Having experienced numberless deadly narrow escapes, he seldom looked as serious as now he was.

"Young maid, you see, you came here earlier than me. I know as much as you do."

Xu Wenchuan beamed radiantly — he became increasingly satisfied with his grandson for his astounding intelligence and bravery.

"I…"

Wu Qiujun stumbled over his words.

A thunderstorm just broke out in his head, leaving a messy turmoil there.

Eyes fixed on Wandong with burning fury, he wished if only he could have eaten Wandong alive.

"Well, what's the matter? Wu Qiujun, are you gonna go back on your words? No, you won't! Being the owner of the Tianbao Mansion, you are such a big figure! A money bag! You always keep your word As you don't have the heart to discredit the Tianbao Mansion yourself. Am I right?"

"You…"

Wu Qiujun shuddered for a while, and a flow of blood eventually gushed out of his mouth.

Well! What a scoop! The owner of the Tianbao Mansion, a celebrity, spat out blood out of anger!

Xu Wenchuan struck his eyes wide open, appearing terribly baffled.

Though it was mostly attributed to his wounds, one could easily tell it had a lot to do with Wandong.

"No way! Two thousand and four hundred kilos of gold! That's no different than ripping me off! I don't agree!"

Qiu Yunchong went irritated — Wu Qiujun's reaction only reinforced Wandong's words.

Though he had no idea why Wu Qiujun went nuts and doubled the price, he could hardly accept the current going rate: it was out of the line.

As well-off as he was, he wouldn't feel like being taken for a ride by them.

"General Qiu, it was you who proposed a 20 percent addition. You can't go back on your promise!"

"Yes, I did make such a proposal, but on the basis of the previous price. How would I know that Wu Qiujun would have gone nuts and doubled the price all of a sudden?"

"Qiu Yunchong, watch yourself when you speak!"

Wu Qiujun scolded him, glaring.

"Would you keep your decorum if it were you who were taken for a ride? Well, Wu Qiujun, did you and Xu Yaoting jointly plot to trap me, hand in glove?"

Qiu Yunchong got irritated and retorted.
