Renzou and Kaschi spent their time together. From a 3rd party's perspective they looked really close together, Isagi thought. Unfortunately he had to put a stop their happy time as there was something he wanted to ask Kaschi while on the road.
「 Naa, Kaschi. I want a brief explanation about the participant at this Five Demon General Conference, if possible 」
「 umu, I didn't mind」
She, while folding her hands, nodded. Her hair was tied up in two ponytails under Dyutyu’s guidence, drastically different from her image. This was for Renzous sake, Ayumi often had her hair in that style. i.
Kaschi had already given up and let Dyutyu do as she pleased, including things like her hairstyle. She looked like a grader schooler acting like an adult.
「 Presently nine of the Five Demon Generals exit. Myoren was defeated several days ago and his successor has been appointed as Hell Hound from Jarwana City. 」
「 What! Five Demon General is a group of 10?!. Ain't it be better to change the name to Ten Demon Generals 」 - isa

”Five Demon” does you know. It's the five attributes needed by the Demon Race - kindness, military power, politics, loyalty, and wisdom. “Five Demon” was a title that is given to those selected with all of those qualities. Or rather...that is the interpretation nowadays.

The Magician Battalion leader, Knight’s Captain, and the Navy’s Governor… There was a time where he had fought with all three leaders of those those factions. They were the largest threat of the Demon Empire at the time.
「 The last six are rulers of various countries and make up the Demon United Nations - the Commercial City’s Relic Ruler - Ose, Port City Black Round’s Pirate King - Dolphin, BrotherHouse’s Leader - Lejin, Dreadnought's Leader - Dreadnought the 34th, Torfaza’s Leader - Peimon, the Chairman of Demon Un - Medresa. Those are the current names that make up the Five Demon General.
Kaschi smoothly narrated.
Now that Ira was gone, Kaschi is his only source of information. She won’t bite her tongue or base her knowledge on vague memories...not that he was comparing.
Isagi asked her
「 I want you to tell me which factions the “Generals” belong to 」

「 The Demon UN can be divided into roughly three Cliques: The Demon Emperor Clique that follow the Demon Emperor’s daughter, Dyutyu, Lejin’s Clique headed by the BrotherHouse's Leader, Lejin, and Medressa’s Clique ruled by Medressa. 」
So even Dyutyu has her own faction eh..
Isagi thought while watching Dyutyu clap her hands, then continued to view the scenery outside. [1] [2]
Renzou, who was originally practicing his aura, cut into their conversation.
「 Then , What's the difference among them ? 」 - renzo
「 umu . Dyutyu's faction is an extremist.
They want to push back the human race out of OR out from the dark continent, and, chance permitting, intend to march to the Suraosha Continent.
Their aim is to destroy the human race.」
「 Damn, is that true?
Ain’t you quite serious about this, princess」
「 ehehehe ~ 」Dyutyu said, scratching her head in embarrassment.
that reaction kinda bit wrong, Isagi thought.
「 Medresa is the moderate faction , perhaps.
While they want to take back the dark continent, they also feared the human race.
They want to have little to none of the Demon Race from becoming victims.
While they are the most constructive faction, they also lack in assertiveness due their position. 」

Surely there were a lot who were offended because of their half-assed attitude, after all it's essentially a maintenance of the status quo
「 The last group, Rijin Clique, are the pro-human faction」- Kaschi
「 So that kind of group exist too. 」- Renzou

Isagi only knew the overall picture, not the details of the story.
Merchant, Knight, Noble, Ruler - all of these roles have their own purpose. Like the people from Rijin faction , there was those who were actually a merchant that hate demon race, or perhaps someone who was from moderate faction that sending their assistance to the other faction because they don't want to quarrel with either of the faction.
Kaschi folds her hands with dignified look.
「 They will probably make Dyutyu take some kind of responsibility because of this accident 」
「 ..... responsibility ?」
「 umu. While there were are lot of strategies, Dyutyu Clique is an extremist faction and activated the summoning formation “Fall Down”. There was a traitor that appeared thus, Dyutyu cannot escape her burden as the Leader of the Demon Emperor’s Faction. 」
「 is that so ..... 」
Isagi gazes at Dyutyu and sees Dyutyu smiling, as always.
「It can’t be helped. The fact that Shuu-sama is leaving us also true. 」
「 ......... 」
Isagi couldn't say anything. Her duty was one who “takes responsibility. It was the fate of anyone standing at the top. I

As far as the story went, the FIve Demon Generals did not consist only of a factions that welcomed the Demon Lord candidates. Rather, for the pro-human faction in particular, the Demon Lord candidate was clearly a bothersome existence. There was even a possibility of them sending an assassin after the Candidates.

Like this, one week passed since the start of their journey. They had reached biggest city in the United Nations of the Demon Race, the BrotherHood. The town, on the west side of the Dark Continent, was a natural fortress. A mountain range where it where Anrimanyu was rumored to have first appeared, protected the back of the town. The south was a wasteland and essentially the town was situated in the southernmost tip of the Dark Continent.
Once, during the Age of Heroes, the King of the Demon Race - Krishna conquered a dungeon. Then, using the Maximum Magic Stone, wished for a fertile land. The wish created the Radian Plain and the Broms River which flows through the plain. For the Dark Continent this land is of utter importance and cannot be separated from them.
BrotherHouse - the capital, Jarwana Market City of the northwest, and the Relics Port of the east were stolen by the humans. These towns had once stood as the foundation of the Demon Race. They were also the cities that had held the most power in the public's eye.
Going towards the Great Gate, also called Hell’s Gate,, one horse cart with four people inside was racing towards BrotherHouse, as fast as they could. The horse cart passes the gates and keep racing towards the Castle - the final destination is the fortress inside BrotherHouse, Krishna Castle.

The Five Demon General conference was held in the Krishna Castle’s Conference Room. Inside, nine of the Demon Generals were present, including Jarwana Market City’s Major - Hellbound. .
The door opened and four people walked in. The one standing as the leader, wearing a pure white dress, was the daughter of the Demon Emperor - Dyutyu. While the room observed a moment of silence, she sat in a vacant seat.
Isagi, Renzou, and Kyaschi stood behind her in a line. Actually, the rules stated that outsiders were prohibited from entering but this meeting was held to introduce the Demon King candidate and such both Renzou and Isagi were permitted entry.
「 With this , everyone is gathered, right 」
The first one to speak was the Chairman of the Demon Race United Nations - Madresa. She was a beautiful black haired person and dressed in skimpy cloths resembing S&M bondage gear. Some of her hair turned into snakes and slithering around.

******POV: Isagi******
Isagi looks at the 10 Demon Generals, one by one. Of course he doesn't judge them by their political power but by their warriors power. Each and every of them had exceeded a certain level of power. The one who stood out the most was who he had expected, the 3 Great Army Generals. Even without their weapons, the Generals were exceptionally strong. Dolphin the pirate from the Blackground were below the Great Army Generals and below him everyone else had a similar power level. Unfortunately, there was no way to judge the level of their magic formula until he saw it in use. for now, Isagi looked at the 10 people of the demon
Renzou asks in a whisper,
「... how bout it? those guys 」

(hmm .... well, i can handle it alone somehow or another ... ? )

Though Isagi didn’t quite understand why Renzou had asked, he answered. If it was perhaps Renzou who was fighting them he would have a hard time against the Great Army Generals and Dolphin. The others, he would be able to handle a one on one battle, maybe. thought
The Conference flowed as Isagi had thought. First they criticized Dyutyu for the incident that occurred some time ago.
「Using Fall Down and igniting antagonism from the human race, what are your intentions? Even though we are already in a delicate position you choose to do this!! All the progress diplomacy has gotten us is now gone, in a blink of an eye, you know!!! 」
Slamming the stone conference table, a muscular man stood up. BrotherHouse’s Leader Lejin. He was a devil with a very devil-like appearance with a single huge horn growing from his temple. (TL : Devil is sub race from demon race ~ =w=/)
「Also, from what I heard, one fo them betrayed our side?! The condition Demon King Castle is also a complete mess!! Do you bastards intend to drive the Demon Race to the brink of extinction..HUH?! 」
「 eh, no, we don't have such , umm ... 」
Dyutyu fusterdly responded. Even though she had been able to maintain a firm attitude until now. It seems she wasn’t use to getting shouted at.
The other Demon Generals maintained a composed attitude, watching how things will unfold. There was no one on Dyutyu’s side in case she became a liability...or, this is what Lejin had arranged things to happen.
「...this isn’t going anywhere. The only choice we have now is to offer a gift a human race, we should give them what they want. 」
「let's quickly set up an emissary 」
「 we have to prepare present too 」
「 if we want to calm down human race's anger, a normal present won't do 」
The Demons in Lejin’s faction started speaking out, one by one, arraging things. Including Jarwana Market City’s Mayor - Hellbound, there were four Demons in total. As of right now, Lejin’s faction was the biggest faction. Even Madresa and her faction could not speak out freely.
Dyutyu wasn’t able to say anything when Lejin glared at her. On his face a wicked smile could be seen.
「Dyutyu-dono. you will be the one who take the responsibility for this right ?」
Hearing that Dyutyu grabbed at the chance to clear her name and enthusiastically clenched her fist.
「 eh , ah , ye, yes ! if it was something that I can do ! 」
「 enough 」
Looking at Dyutyu who stand up , Lejin nodded in satisfaction
「 then , dyutuyu-dono.
you shall present your head to them 」
「 ye, yes ! eh ... wait , eeh ? 」
Dyutyu who nodded energetically asked back. Lejin didn't pay any attention to her.
but Lejin won't take any attention from her anymore.

Isagi was perplexed.
Dyutyu was going to die? Would it be alright to allow such foolish suggestions to continue?
He looked at kaschi .

Was this part of Lejin’s plot? If Dyutyu were to die, then the he would become the Leader for the Demon Race United Nation. This wouldn’t be bad for Madresa either because her faction didn’t oppose the human race.
for her who was in moderate faction, being in human race's bad side is something that she didn't wish for.

this Five Demon General conference was a place for premeditated murder for Dyutyu.
they were called to this place for that reason.
Isagi clench his fist .
even if this was what the demon race united nation wish for, he had to fight against it.
Following that, Lejin rose from his seat and addressed everyone in the room.
「Everyone! This will mark the end of the Age of War. The Demon Race from now on have to unite and find a new way to live together with the human race. The war that was created by the humans and adventures cannot be handled by us anymore. We cannot repeat the same mistake that lead to the tragedy in Suraosha Continent! 」
Making dramatic gesture, he continued his speech .
「We have something we want to protect! It is something that we absolutely cannot obtain if we continue this conflict. It is our LIVES! Friends, family, lovers, for the sake of those people we wish to protect, we have to take ourselves into the mud!! This decision, perhaps, will bring criticism from many within the Demon Race BUT history proves we are correct
that's why, people , we will have to bear it for now !
till the day that we can drive the human race out of the dark continent, and once
again we will take glory on our ---- 」
No one noticed when Renzou got behind Lejin. Lejin’s bodyguards were running toward his direction but were too far.
Renzou placed his hand on Lejin's head .
「 Ah ? 」
...and rotated his head before plucking it from his body.
No one could stop him. No one expected him to do such a thing at the conference. Even Isagi was caught unaware.
Ahh...this guy went and did it. isagi thought
「 Damn, your blabbering is noisy.
--- drop dead 」
Throwing away the Five Demon General’s head, while bathed in spurt of blood, Renzou snickered.
