Nie AnAn’s breath tightened, and she stood up straight and responded, “Okay . ”
Nie ChengFeng could tell that she was nervous . He walked over to her and extended his arm to her . “Let’s go . ”
Inside the main hall, guests had already filled the room .
Nie AnAn, her arm in Nie ChengFeng’s, stepped onto the red carpet .
Apparently, both Qin Hai and Father Nie had already given their speeches . It was now time for the engagement ceremony portion between Huo YanXiao and her .
Standing at the end of the red carpet, Huo YanXiao has on a full set of black suit with a rose-colored tie . His normally cold, heavy, and overpowering aura seemed to have softened by all the flowers around them .
This very moment, he was looking at her with his clear eyes, as though he had already been waiting for her for a long time .
Finally, Nie AnAn stood next to Huo YanXiao .
Next to her, Nie ChengFeng said a couple things to Huo YanXiao nonchalantly before he placed his sister’s hand in Huo YanXiao’s palm .
The man’s palm was large and warm . Nie AnAn’s hand was a little sweaty from being nervous, but she suddenly felt less nervous now that Huo YanXiao was holding her hand .
Standing by his side, her hand in his, they bathed in the looks of everybody who were attending the event .

Nie AnAn was still dazed all the way up to the point when Huo YanXiao put the engagement ring on her finger .
There was only one thought in her mind – she was finally going to marry him .
Mother Nie lamented as well . This was just the engagement ceremony, and there were already tears in her eyes .
Father Nie was standing nearby Qin Hai and greeting the guests with him . He, too, has the look on him that he was not yet ready to part with his new-found daughter .
Nie AnAn noticed that Qin ZiMing wasn’t among the guests . Perhaps, he hasn’t yet recovered enough to be presentable just yet .
Mrs . Qin was the only one there . The way that she was talking to the guests alongside Qin Hai seemed to show that she had already accepted the fact that Huo YanXiao would become a part of the Qin’s .
Nie AnAn looked down at the engagement ring on her left middle finger . In the lights reflected off of the ring, Nie AnAn could still hear Huo YanXiao’s voice resounding in her ears . “Everyone, this is my fiancée Nie AnAn!”

He placed his hand on her shoulder . Facing everyone’s gazes, his look was straight and magnanimous . His hand on her shoulder was warm and dry, and it wrapped around her, pulling her petite body close to him .
Even though they did not particularly invite anyone from the media to their engagement banquet, the Qin wasn’t so low key that words didn’t get out .
Nie AnAn and Huo YanXiao were surrounded by reporters when they walked out of the hotel .
“Mr . Huo, can you please tell us when the wedding day will be?”
“Miss Nie, will you continue to participate in the filming of ‘Gold Medal Inn’? What is your future career goal? Are you going to become a stay-at-home housewife?”
And these were some of the milder questions . Some of the reports from the tabloid wouldn’t stick to these basic questions…
“Mr . Huo, did you adopt Miss Nie back in the days with the intention of making her your child bride?”

As soon as the reporter finished asking his question, everybody looked over at Huo YanXiao .
Huo YanXiao wasn’t planning on replying to any of the reporters initially, but suddenly, he stopped on his way .
His cold and sharp look landed on that reporter, and he replied calmly, “AnAn and I are not related legally in any way, shape, or form . I will reserve my right to prosecute if this reporter will spread any rumors . ”
With Huo YanXiao’s infamous reputation, his calm demeanor right now deterred the others to ask any questions that were too sensitive .
“Mr . Huo, can you please tell us when did you first fall for Nie AnAn?”
Hearing that, Nie AnAn reflexively looked up at the man next to her .
