It had been several days since I came to this new strange world.
I…I can safely use magic now-!
Having borrowed some magic books from Sensei, and letting him demonstrate some of them to me, I can now do it!
Though they’re more of what you call ‘supporting magic’, since there isn’t any attack technique. The one that I created, however, can handle against any aggressive magical attack. There are also some techniques that are made to temporarily boost your physical ability and detoxify the body…but.
I can’t use these.
Sensei, who also has the aptitude for magic, told me it’s better to remember it.
In my world, boosting physical ability and detoxifying was like using steroid and antidotes, but in this magic world, it’s only like a simple charm.
Magic is a little more different than I thought when I was comparing it to medicine. I think the effect from a game, similar to the magic, translated in my world would be more in-line to this:
Magic that can recover and detoxify can ‘heal numerical value called HP ‘and ‘normalize statuses.’
This part here is important, very important. In reality, it doesn’t actually heal the injury. Or the ‘damage that is caused by poison’ which only affect HP, but doesn’t affect the actual body.
So if I use it, this ability will boost the magical defense power, molding the magic over the body, making it a little like a defensive wall, while the detoxification ability will extract the poison out of the body.
I can also fiddle with gravity and combine it with the wind to make me float or fly. More like when trying flying, I had to imagine a bird, so often attached to me would be invisible wings.
‘Wing’ = ‘Flight’ was my cheap idea for a clear image of flying; a mind stability effect.
Because the actual problem was, humans simply do not fly. So generally, I was slightly afraid it wouldn’t work. It would’ve been even more difficult if I hadn’t known about angels.
Maybe learning more about interpretation of the magic roots, it might prove to be different, but I still like it like this.
And besides, I haven’t ever handled a weapon before, unless you consider a kitchen knife one. This is an essential skill in the fantasy world, along with, of course, the skill of making master barriers.
In my case, the image of a defensive barrier in all-out attack against evil would be supreme.
It’s great to assume that it will be!
In other words, I’m aware I can use the magic barrier to refute against only physical and magical power.
…Well, because casting that almighty barrier would be for the advanced magic user, and also, I was told not to do so.
By the way, the barrier is quite difficult to break since the weaving of the magic is long and complex. Sensei was quite impressed at how easily I made my barrier, which was inspired by knitting. Thankfully I remembered how to knit. But the powerful guy who came to this world, he didn’t stay?
As I thought, upon learning the barrier magic in this world, my expectations about magic were quite correct.
“When magic is woven with the barrier, a defense magic is made. I hope you remember that.”
This was Sensei’s words.
The magic barrier is different depending on physics and magic, but it’s mostly dependent on magical defense.
It is sort of like this … I can materialize the barrier using water and flames. But the magic would cause hallucinations from the image of shadowy smoke and mist, so to prevent this, I must make another barrier.
Healing magic exists in order to enhance the body’s repairing, reverting the body back to its normal, before form. But there’s a downside. I can’t cure disease-borne illness or birth defects, since this was from birth, and the body cannot be restored to its previous healthy state because its healthy state without the illness had never existed.
I can cure the germ-causing diseases that enter the body, but not the form of the disease at its origin.
This is the general healing magic in this world.
I can use the healing magic to recover HP from both physical injury and physical strength…but I don’t think it’s convenient.
I can’t really be able to restore physical strength by magical power.
Because above all…this is ‘reality’.
Somehow, I think this is the correct way to see it.
Maybe the magic made by the ‘traveler in-between’, that it doesn’t apply to these techniques?
I might have come from a world filled with magic. But maybe the magic got mixed in halfway and resulted into more of an ancient technology? There isn’t a way of explaining this kind of thing.
Yeast bread and paper technology, created with something technical, are apparently what was transmitted from a different world.
Then I hope that fermented soybean paste and soy sauce are transferred from somewhere too.
So.
There was only one magic technique that came from the guy from the same world as I; a subtle technique that pulls the target into range. It is used to capture the target nearby, if I got caught up with something else.
The spell (word for word) is ‘In the coming weeks, which isn’t painful to learn’ and the power word ‘from the lord.’
……I guess they apparently came from the same world?
If I would’ve transferred back in time, I would’ve been able to understand Anshesu.
No doubt, like a historical drama, ‘Near you, who isn’t painful, can come near’* would be the dialogue.
‘The magic won’t be block and draw any kind of thing to hand’ and I would think everyone except the person themselves wouldn’t believe the effect so earnestly.
But the visible range is quite limited, as it can only attract objects that are correctly and accurately described.
The doctor said that anyone can do it, ahahaha!
If I have fun and inform this to a magician and they convey it wonderfully, would I be left in the dark?
As if the fellow who is able to use the spell isn’t able to say ‘I’m sorry, just a joke ♪’?
It isn’t even a formal spell, I only imagined it!
Well, at least, this is better than a magical girl system~
