Chapter 18 Flower Goddess, LuoQian

Perhaps Qianhua's spiritual power was too weak to keep her spell alive here. The new flower buds emerged from her spell soon turned gray before they got a chance to bloom. Even the sprouts she practiced to grow during her cultivation on Eastern Mountain could last longer. Qianhua lost more confidence each time she repeated her spell. She felt that her 500 years of cultivation was almost in vain. She could do nothing here in the Heavenly.

"If you plan to grow flowers and plants here, it is almost impossible."

Just when Qianhua was frustrated, a sweet voice came from the behind trying to comfort her. Qianhua turned around and saw a fairy approaching on a cloud. She dressed simple but elegant; and she wore her hair in a bun on top of her head. She smiled friendly to Qianhua and shared her sympathy when she witnessed the flower buds withered one after another.

"May I ask who the fairy is…?" Technically, Qianhua was not a flower fairy. Any immortal she met in the Heavenly should rank higher than her on the immortal levels. So she felt necessary to be humble and prudent.

"HuangfuYaruo, the Goddess of rain." She answered.

"LuoQianhua's honored to see Rain Goddess. Qianhua is just a little hedgehog spirit and not really a fairy yet. Goddess could call me Qianhua if you like."

"You are such a straightforward person."

Qianhua smiled and took that as a compliment. She asked directly, "Goddess just said that it was immensely difficult to grow flowers and plants in the Heavenly?"

"It's not difficult to grow plants in the Heavenly." Rain Goddess corrected her, "But no one was able to do so in Bloomy Garden, not even Heavenly King."

Qianhua opened her mouth in surprise, "Why?"

HuangfuYaruo dimmed her eyes and lowered her head. She slowly walked to the stone statue and gently stroked the white gauze on it.

The white gauze was half transparent. But it was still hard to see clearly the statue's face under the cloth. All Qianhua could tell was the slim and graceful figure of the statue.

Since Qianhua first visited this garden, she had been mostly curious about this statue, which attracted Heavenly King from his own birthday party. So right after she moved in, Qianhua took the courage to unveil the statue to see the face of MoYunye's beloved goddess. But the moment her fingertip touched the white gauze, she got bounced away by a golden flash. Her whole arm was in pain when she stood back up.

There was still a little numbness on Qianhua's arm now. So when she saw Rain Goddess was about to do the same thing, she immediately shouted out loud to stop her, "Watch out! Don't touch it!"

HuangfuYaruo lifted her eyebrows and turned around. There was no golden flash at all. And nothing happened to her arm.

"Your hand... Does it hurt?" Qianhua checked the goddess' hand. She could only blame her own weak spiritual power this time, "Why did I get pushed away by some force when I tried to pull off the gauze? My arm is still sore now."

HuangfuYaruo smiled bitterly: "The enchantment casted by Heavenly God only works on the ones who attempted to lift the gauze. I just meant to touch it. Thus there would be harm for me."

Qianhua pouted. Sure it was unkind of her to peep at her king's personal treasure without his consent. But since she had been in charge of the whole garden, how come she was forbidden to see the statue located in the garden?

"I just want to know who that is!" Qianhua didn't give up, "Would it be the previous owner of this garden - the lover of Heavenly King - the vanished Flower Goddess LuoQian?"

Qianhua found her name very delightful. She thought that: if she could be fortunate to become an immortal in the Heavenly, she would love to name after her - Flower Goddess, LuoQian!
