Chapter 17 The Wasteland
"Did you ever feel familiar with the garden where you met me?" MoYunye slowly paced over and stopped in front of Qianhua. He asked gently and peacefully, unlike the way he talked to HanYing earlier. He was nervously looking forward to her answer.
"Not really. But I think you look pleasant." Qianhua replied politely. MoYunye smiled, "how so?"
"Have we ever met before?" Now it was Qianhua's turn to feel puzzled.
MoYunye stared at her and stayed silent for a long while. The clear spring in his watery eyes was gradually flowing out and revolving around Qianhua as a misty fog. He subconsciously stretched out his hand towards her and tried to touch her cheek. If not Qianhua intended to avoid him, MoYunye might've just lost the mental control.
"Maybe we've met… in your past life." Yunye hesitated. The voice of heaven sounded slightly dumb.
"I am just a little hedgehog. I don't know what my past life was like. I'm not even sure that I have a past life!" LuoQianhua kept reminding him that she was just an insignificant spirit, hoping that the king would pity her and grant her some spiritual power for future cultivation.
"It might be better this way…" MoYunye was somehow relieved; his eyes turned back to be wise and elegant, "So, what job you prefer to do in the Heavenly?"
"Can a spirit get a title in the Heavenly?" Qianhua was overjoyed that she might be lucky enough to get an official position in this holy place.
"According to the rules, you are not qualified. But..." MoYunye suddenly smiled slyly and enchantingly, which Qianhua hadn't seen before. "How about I break the rules for you once as a king?"
Qianhua grew dizzy with the king's favoritism. She was almost confident that her wish could come true in a second, "I won't ask for too much. It's good enough for me to be a Flower Fairy!"
The next morning, Qianhua fully dressed up to wait for her Heavenly assignment, which unexpectedly turned out to be - a gardener fairy.
A fairy to take care of flowers!

The garden Qianhua got assigned to was the abandoned garden where she first met MoYunye. It's called Bloomy Garden.
Qianhua was confused: why an abandoned garden in such a rich and safe realm would need a caregiver? She believed in her talents. She might not be the general material in the Holy Army, but at least she could manage the Holy stables there.
But Heavenly King had given his words.
Qianhua had to accept the assignment scroll and started moving from the guest room in YunQi Hall to the uninhabited garden.
Bloomy Garden used to be the residence of the last Flower Goddess - LuoQian. The place had an old and knotty story of love and hatred. Since LuoQian vanished from the world 1000 years ago, the garden had no longer bloomed a single flower. This place would be long gone from the Heavenly if MoYunye didn't insist to maintain the palace and halls in the garden.
"This location is quiet and the buildings are scenic. But what a pity it has no plants!" Qianhua rambled in the garden and kept looking around this wasteland.
She intended to fix this depressing residence.
