Visitors’ Objective (2)
“……I don’t get it. Why am I the saviour?”
I can’t imagine the image of me saving somebody at all. Much less, the Demihuman Race that I have no obligation to save. In reality, Liscia is bloody holding her sides. I’ll play with that head like a ball afterwards.
“Firstly, I shall speak about our country’s current situation. In our country, there is something called the『Divinity Tree』which is said to be created by Goddess Fistoria”
Divinity Tree huh. I might want to beat the hell out of it when I see it. Excessively so after I’m told it’s created by the Goddess.
“Thanks to that Divinity Tree, an endless supply of water gushes out, various herbs and plenty of crops grow at the base of the tree. However, the problem started to arise several months ago”
“Problem?”
“Yes. The Divinity Tree suddenly started to bear a fruit”
……What’s the problem with that? It’s a tree so it’ll bear a fruit or two, right? I thought and looked around and, everybody who came from the Demihuman Country is making ominous expressions. Melda also makes a similar expression and proceeds with the conversation.
“I know what Hardt-dono is thinking. I would think the same if that fruit is something harmless…….”
“So there’s a problem huh?”
“Yes. The fruit that grew, it is not an actual fruit…… it is an egg”
……that’s what it is huh. Anybody can imagine what happened after being told this much. I suppose the egg hatched and a monster appeared from within.
“And, the monster that appeared from that egg is?”
“……It is a Divine Beast”
……something beyond my imagination appeared. To think that a legendary creature like the Divine Beast appeared. It definitely has something to do with that Goddess, that shitty woman.
Divine Beast……as the name suggests, is a beast that possesses God’s power. Although its category comes under monster, its strength is incomparable to an ordinary monster. If it even just go berserk, the land will split, the atmosphere will shake, and it will destroy everything. The likes of a country will be gone in an instant.
“It’s a marvel that the country survived even though such a monstrosity appeared”
“Yes. It is thanks to each and every elder suppressing it currently that the casualties are somehow being kept to the minimum. However, that is also……”
“It’s a matter of time huh”
However, I don’t think I’ll be able to save them just by going there though. But, a Divine Beast huh. I want to kill it and make it my subordinate. If I did that, my military strength should go up quite a bit. As I’m thinking about such things

……I can pretty much guess the queen’s power if she’s read this far ahead. Uーn, I wonder what I should do. Although I don’t know if I can defeat it if I go, I suppose it’s better to go than to think about it here.
“What’s the Divine Beast”
“Yes. The Divine Beast that was born from the Divinity tree is a wolf called Fenrir that controls lightning. Its length is about 10 metres and it traverses the land at a godly speed. Its sharp claws mangle everything and just coming in contact with the lightning that it is constantly being clad in will burn you to crisp. That is the Divine Beast that appeared this time around. And then, the one who can go against the monster that possesses god’s power is……”
“……I who possesses a similar power huh”
Melda who nods at my words……rather, I suppose she’s heard even that from the Queen. It’s true that if it’s my powers then it might be able to go up against Fenrir. Well, it’s not for certain though.
“……However, the problem is not only the Divine Beast”
“Huh?”
As I was thinking about how I should go up against the Divine Beast, Melda suddenly said out something like that. Even I, let out an idiotic voice. Is there still something else?
“It woke up roughly a month ago and the Empire suddenly attacked us without a declaration of war. Their number is about 300 thousand. It’s something that happened too suddenly, we who devoted everything to fighting the Divine Beast were slow to make our moves, by the time we gathered our troops and stopped the Empire’s Army, a third of the country has already been invaded”
I guess this is no coincidence. If it’s a country that’s as big as the Empire then they should be able to sneak spies into the Demihuman country. They planned to take advantage of the time when most of the Demihuman Country’s military strength is being directed at the Divine Beast and invaded huh.
However, it’s becoming something really troublesome huh. My motivation to go has also dwindled.
But, if I go this time around, I’ll be able to be demanding towards the Demihuman Country and probably able to shave off the Empire’s strength without expending much of my own military force.
Besides, I suppose we’ll also be able to increase our military strength. Well, it’s all meaningless if I don’t win though, but if I don’t go, there’s not even the chance for that.
“And, in the case that we went and solved the problem, what will the Demihuman Country do for us?”
“Yes. In regards to the Divine Beast, as I said previously, we will offer you all the corpses. If you solve the other issue as well, we shall offer our assistance to Hardt-dono’s goal, is what Her Majesty said”
I guess if she knows this much then she knows my goal as well. She proposed that to me on top of knowing it huh. I’m getting increasingly interested in this queen.
“I got it. I’ll discuss this for a little so give me some time. I’ll give an answer tomorrow”
“Understood”
With this, the discussion ended……now then, who should I bring along. I’ll have Nero give orders on my behalf so I’ll have him stay, Liscia is my largest fighting force. I’ll have to bring her along.
And then, shall I have Mars experience the battlefield……though me, the one who’s saying such a thing, also have no experience at all.
I feel bad for Mylene but I’ll have her stay behind. I can’t bring her along to somewhere dangerous. Alright, I’ll do just that……I wonder if she has anything to say about that.
