Chen Fan dispatched the rice quickly, and as he burped, he took advantage of the situation to sit beside Wu Ruoyu on the couch. He smiled, "Did you miss me, after not seeing me for two days?"
"Damn you!" Wu Ruoyu hit him hard on his head, then said bashfully, "Your…your car is fixed, but…but…"
"But what?" Chen Fan wore a doubtful look on his face.
"This is for you, and the password is…sextuple eight!" Wu Ruoyu's cheeks were flushed with red. She wanted to tell him that, since his car was wrecked, but she could not afford to buy him a new one, that she would try to repay him at least the depreciated value.
But, she could not, as her words were stuck in her throat! She could only give him her banking card.
Chen Fan was slightly stunned for two seconds. Then, he caught her meaning.
His lips curved upward, as he replied, "The car was spoiled because of me, so why are you trying to pay me?"
"But, it was in order to save me, wasn't it?" Wu Ruoyu was still in shock. "How could I let you, the savior, pay for the repairs?"
Why don't you pay me by being my girlfriend? Chen Fan's head was full of malicious thoughts!
After pushing the card back and forth between them for a long time, Chen Fan failed to persuade Wu Ruoyu to keep it. Thus, he finally accepted the banking card gracefully. He planned to keep it until her birthday or some other moment, such as Valentine's Day, then return it to her creatively somehow.
Their relationship was awkward at that moment, so it couldn't be said that they were a couple exactly. But, there was at least some intention and affection shared between the two of them.
It was difficult to make conversation at this stage, as sweet talks were apparently not suitable yet. Likewise, small talks seemed equally strained. So, the both of them just remained awkwardly silent for a while.
Then, when Wu Ruoyu was getting ready to stand up and leave, she was suddenly grabbed by Chen Fan! He took her passionately in his arms.
"Chen Fan, don't…don't do this, Yun Meng is upstairs!" Wu Ruoyu's face was as red as a cherry.
She was twisting her body to run away, but she also seemed to be hesitating. Ultimately, she couldn't get loose from Chen Fan, even after struggling for a long time.
"It's okay, as she is studying upstairs!" Chen Fan moved himself closer to Wu Ruoyu, switching on the television as he did so.
What's important wasn't what was airing, but more the atmosphere that he was trying to create by watching the television. In fact, Chen Fan was even too lazy to change the channel, instead putting his arms around Wu Ruoyu quietly.
Slowly, Wu Ruoyu laid on Chen Fan's chest, just as a kitten. She reveled in feeling the warmth and firmness of his chest.
The television was showing the drama "Struggle," but it was unclear which episode it was. However, their thoughts had flown to some faraway kingdom, so they hadn't a care for what was on the television! But, when the scenes on the television changed suddenly, their attentions were attracted.
The scene in the drama was just like them! It portrayed Lu Tao and Xia Lin, who were hugging on the field of Beijing Sun Palace Park. Then, the pair slowly kissed.
Chen Fan could only feel thirsty, as if he was watching the scene alone. But what if there was a beauty in his arms? Chen Fan looked around, now gazing at Wu Ruoyu.
Wu Ruoyu, who was also feeling something, wanted to turn away her reddened face, but she was too late. Reaching to gently hold Wu Ruoyu's porcelain face, Chen Fan felt exhilarated.
"Let… let me go!" her voice was filled a mixture of some shyness, some anger, and some fear.
Feeling the warm of his breath on her neck, Wu Ruoyu's heart beat faster. Her face reddened, and she was thirsty and weak. In fact, she showed many symptoms, but what she felt was too embarrassing to be shared aloud.
"No!" Chen Fan replied to her with determination, as he rushed to nuzzle into her beautiful hair!
Wu Ruoyu's pupils dilated, then slowly blurred. Finally, she laid in Chen Fan's arms, weakly resigned.
"God will give all the love to her."
Wu Ruoyu was alarmed, and her blurry eyes instantly focused!
"Chen Fan, can we not do this?" Wu Ruoyu turned away her reddened face. Her words was as weak as a little lamb.
"But, we already did it!"
"It was good to just lay together quietly, but you ruined the atmosphere!"
Wu Ruoyu put her face on Chen Fan's chest, speaking with resentment in her voice. "You only know how to take advantage on me! Even lovers would not behave like you. Besides, I don't even know whether you have a girlfriend or not."
"Hehe, of course I don't!" Chen Fan laughed, while grabbing Wu Ruoyu.
Her words reminded Chen Fan of somebody, who had once told him the same thing. It was the girl that Chen Fan had gotten her first kiss from. He did this by bribing her using candies, way back in kindergarten! Her name was Zhang Xiaoxue, and their relationship has always been good, ever since they grew up and studied together.
Then, in grade 10, when Chen Fan's family had bought a computer and had access to the internet, Chen Fan was addicted to unhealthy websites, causing his lust to grow a astronomically! He tried to have this game with Zhang Xiaoxue. It was a moment when they were kissing, and Chen Fan wanted to get a step closer, so he made his move.
She promptly gave him a hit on his head, then said, "You think I want it too, when I'm almost controlled by you most of the time, but I do not!"
However, when Chen Fan turned over a new leaf and was ready to implement his new battle plan, her father was facing persecution from his company, due to his indecent actions at work. So, out of the blue, he decided to escape to the USA with his family!
Both of them kept in touch online initially, but after awhile, they lost contact. Besides, Chen Fan thought that she did not want him to bother her anymore. Otherwise, she could easily contact him in this modern era.
As time passed, her shadow faded away from his mind. In fact, he probably never would have remembered her, unless Wu Ruoyu had not talked about such things this day.
At that moment, light footsteps passed along the corner of the stairs. Wu Ruoyu was stunned. Immediately, her cheeks reddened and her heart beat faster.
Struggling to get off of Chen Fan's chest, she sat up properly and tried hard to pretend that nothing was happening. Yet, the redness on her face obviously betrayed her.
People always say that females are sensitive towards certain things. Though Yun Meng was younger, she still could sense something from the atmosphere and Wu Ruoyu's expression.
"Chen Fan, I've to go. For the contract, we shall proceed with what we discussed just now." Yun Meng stared at Wu Ruoyu nervously. Ruoyu managed this sentence to hide her embarrassment, then went out, closing the door as she exited.
"Ruoyu seems unusual!" Yun Meng said, jealousy filling her voice.
"I think so, too. She was okay when she arrived, but her expression was unusual after picking up the phone." Chen Fan stayed calm and shook his head. "Now, quickly go to school, you're going to be late!"
Chen Fan was actually looking at the stairs, when he had just been kissing Wu Ruoyu. He did this so that he could stop in time, just in case Yunmeng saw them and got jealous.
Later that afternoon, Chen Fan laid in bed with his eyes closed. For sure, he did not have the habit of sleeping in the afternoon, but he had shifted his thought towards the eel...
By the eel's explosive digging, which was like his own version of TNT, he had cleared more than 700 meters deep of the area in the mysterious hole! Then, when the eel made some holes on the sand by the long spear, then filled them in with some greenish explosive liquid, the brownish grey stones were finally exposed from the cover of the sand!
Success was near! Chen Fan gritted his teeth. He cleaned the mud on the stone wall thoroughly, before the eel emptied its poison sac in its abdomen. The hole was 780 meters deep, with a diameter of 103 meters.
On the stone wall, which was wholly constituted of jagged rocks, a cave with a diameter of 13 meters was exposed on the bottom. The cave was circular, and the smooth stone wall was stuffed with mud, making the eel unable to gage the conditions inside.
Looking at the huge cave, Chen Fan sunk into deep thought. Beyond all doubt, it was the cave in the hole that had attracted the ancient people here.
When the eel was setting up the explosions furiously, Chen Fan had seen some fragmented bones. This meant that there were many people who had come towards the cave in the past, and that it was possible that there was something valuable in the cave. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been as much fighting here, or as many signs of people's presences from the past.
Being as the cave was 13 meters wide now, the eel was able to go inside and explore. So, after taking a breath, Chen Fan controlled the long spear in the eel's paw, slowly clearing off the mud at the hole's entrance. The cave was not too big for the eel, as it continued to dig minutes, managing to reach another 10 meters in depth.

When the long spear was inserted into the mud once more, Chen Fan felt an unusual resistance. He only realized when the long spear was pulled out, that the mud that covered the cave was only about 10 meters deep, and that sea water on the other side!
Chen Fan controlled the eel to poke out the mud several times. He was delighted, as a deep cave's mysteries had just been thoroughly unlocked by an eel!
To enter, or not to enter? That was the controversial question currently posed to the eel.
With a width of 13 meters, even if there was a dead end after the eel entered, it could still crawl out in reverse with its claws. After thinking this through, Chen Fan decided to utilize electromagnetic induction to probe the internal environment first. With a high voltage of 36,000 volts, it was not a problem to probe a distance of about 2,000 meters.

The eel's body was shining, almost like an illusion, as a ray of dusky blue light spread to the surroundings in a circular form. It moved with a speed that the naked eye could not even follow!
However, the result obtained by the eel via the electromagnetic induction had trapped Chen Fan in a geometric formula. It was a formula too complicated for even Archimedes to solve!
The internal part of the cave was unexpectedly formed by a cylindrical channel that had a length of about 1500 meters. About 90 percent of the channel had a diameter of 10 to 15 meters, and only few parts of it were narrow. Thus, if the eel wanted to pass through it, it needed to use the long spear to widen the space, which gratefully wouldn't take too much effort.
However, this was not the main problem. What made Chen Fan really confused was that the range that the eel could detect was 2,000 meters, while the length of the channel that could be detected was 1,500 meters. However, the electric current that the eel released did not touch any stone wall or mud, but was shaded by air instead.
To better explain this predicament, imagine if a bottle was put vertically into water. The water could not enter into the bottle, due to the air's being unable to be released. The air pressure would then increase as the bottle went deeper in the water. The sea water would finally add pressure to the air inside, until the bottle could not withstand it, thus causing the bottle to crack. However, the stone would not crack, as it was able to withstand the atmospheric pressure.
As he was pondering all of this scientific data, a suddenly fear arose from the bottom of Chen Fan's heart. He was thinking of the undefined species that dashed onto the shore with a zip, after being stimulated by the voltage.
Its body was about two meters long, and although Chen Fan could not clearly define its shape, he could tell that it was similar to that of a crocodile, having thick and hard greenish scales, with a long tail. Hence, it was extremely abnormal. Compared to this monster, the human bones that were spread around seemed kind and friendly!
"Maybe this is another self-forming ecosystem cave, somewhat like the Tonga Trench?!"
