' The atmosphere is too strange .' He thought back to how his sister directly hugged him to stop him from moving , and although his strength should be higher than her , he couldn't move at all .
' Did she wanna sleep that much ?' He thought in his mind , to which the sweet voice responded again ' Master , she is mentally exhausted . She seems to have an ability that uses mental energy , as well as Mana . She has clearly overused her mental energy on the last floor . '
Leo nodded to the cat's explanation . ' It's fine if she is so exhausted .' He held onto her tighter as he thought of something . ' He can you move around outside in your cat form ?'
' I can't go too far away or else it starts consuming your Mana .' The voice said .
' How about you go to the next floor and see the type of monster . It will help me if I know it's appearance at least .'
The cat appeared above his chest , looked at him , and then at Leah sleeping on his spread arm . It showed a bit of jealousy in its eyes ' I'll do it if you decide a name for me .'
Leo laughed inwardly ' You would hate the name . I named a pet bear Kuma , a word in a different language before . I can't name things .'
The cat swung it's tail on Leo's face and said ' Doesn't matter . I want my master to choose my name .'
' Go quickly . We will discuss this after I complete the dungeon .'
The cat brushed it's tail on his face once more before it , like cute little kitten , walked up the stairs . Leo just laid with Leah , who seemed to be deep in sleep as he laughed in a low voice .
Sometime later , the cat appeared out of a black shadow beside him and said in his head ' There's nothing but a weird tree up there .' and then curled up and began to nap on his chest , not giving him a choice to voice his questions .
He just laughed and waited ... For an extremely long time . He spent the whole time playing with a small flame in his hand . He discovered he could change the shape of the flame as he wished . He changed it to the shape of a star , a heart and lots of basic shapes . He could even make a stencil of these shapes . In the end he ended with an extremely deadly looking skull , because the flames were originally black , it looked even more ghostly .
6 hours . That's how long he had to wait for Leah to wake up . He didn't know whether she realized she was in a dungeon or not but said nothing .
After she was done fixing her clothes he asked a simple " Are you recovered ?" to which she replied with a " Good enough ."
He quickly looked at the stairs and said " We need to go , Elly . This thing isn't booked for forever ."
Leah had already kept the multiple layers of sheet on they slept in her card , so she stood beside him and said " Let's go . After this last monster , we can go back ."
Leo nodded and walked up the stairs , with the little kitten invisible on his shoulders . ' How long can you maintain this ?' Leo asked as he reached the end of the steps . He heard it say ' Forever .' and breathed a sigh of relief . ' Show yourself as a drop from killing the monster . If Elly tries to approach you , act like a little kitten and cling to me . You are only mine .'
' My master is so possessive .' He heard a giggle in his head ' As my master wishes .'
Leo nodded as he walked out to the next floor . " The same as last time . Provide support . Use magic if it comes close to you to drive it back . Perception boost won't affect this one . "
He said as he looked at the ' Tree ' . Leah looked between him and the ' Tree ' and said " Why don't we just burn it ?"
Leo shook his head and roughly ruffled her hair as he said " It's a treant . A walking tree . It can be considered to be a quarter of a fairy . They usually protect Dryads . When there are no Dryads nearby , they become enraged and attack anything ."
" You gathered all that from the mayor's office ?" Leah said in a confused tone .
" I-I have my sources . Don't worry about it ." He said and walked towards the treant . He heard a soft laughter behind him , but ignored it .
' I can't use my flames to fly like a certain hero , but I sure as hell can cover myself up in them .' He thought as his body lit on fire.
The treant noticed Leo walking towards him and turned around , only to be greeted with a claw , that was lit on fire , cutting through it's face .
' Good enough piercing . Quarter of the way to the middle in one attempt .' Leo thought as he jumped back . After a bit of thinking he shouted " Use your flames every 10 seconds . This thing feels nothing and has a high physical defense . I can only harm it with flames . And remember it is an upper-intermediate tier monster ."
He saw Leah nod through the corner of his eye as he quickly dodged as the treant hit him with it's hands that were just like claws . Leo stepped aside and Leah launched her first fireball to it's face . It's face got charred and he looked towards Leah now as he walked slowly towards her .
Leo did not miss this chance and slashed repeatedly at it's back with his burning claws . The treant slowly turned around and directly plunged its hands into the ground . Leo felt something was wrong so he backed away . In an area of 2 meters around the treant , grass grew in a flash , and a number of vines reached out of the ground and danced in the air and then went back in . The treant removed it's arms from the ground and Leo noticed it was already rooted to the ground .
Leo made use of this chance and jumped behind the treant . He repeatedly slashed at the back as he shouted " Die ." " Die , you hunk of wood ." " You weak sapling ." He shouted whatever he thoughts were insults for tree people as he slashed at it's back for about 10 seconds .
The treant couldn't move it's body , but it could throw things behind it . It dug up a piece of the ground , bigger than Leo's whole body and threw it behind him . Leo just jumped up and kicked rock as he did a backflip . The rocks flew towards where Leah was standing , but she quickly evaded and used another fireball at the treant . " Sorry , I couldn't control myself ." She apologized as she remembered the insults Leo was throwing at the treant .
Leo nodded and after the fireball hit the treant , he stepped aside and took in a deep breath , then launched a breath attack with a sound that went like ~ Whooooooo~ as the intensity of his black flames slowly increased and the flames on his body died down .
When he finally stopped , the treant was still standing and was trying to throw rocks at itself , to try and extinguish the flames .
Soon the flames did die down , but by that time , the treant was already motionless as its body bent towards the ground , like a wilted plant .
