I've been looking for a translation all over, but with no luck, I want to read the novel so bad. I really hope you continue to translate the novel! Like I said, it must take a lot of effort to do this, and if you want, I could help edit it for you? If you see any errors, drop me a line in here and I'll fix them up! As I go, I might find things that work or don't work in translation, and I'll try to go back and fix them up, so if you notice any inconsistencies or things don't make sense or seem to be a change in wording, it might be because I'm translating inconsistently.

A good example is, if you go back to the Ozaki section that I started with, I was translating the village parade dancers described in Chapter 1 part 2 as Yuge-shuu, but ultimately went with Vapors for English (Yuge = steam) since I first assumed they were... well, steamers, smoking out the village of evil. Then when it was shown to be a breakdown of yuukou shuu, I almost went back and made them all yuge-shuu, but ultimately decided that just explaining the pun once was good enough. I could not believe my luck when I found your translations, they're so well-done and the story is great (as expected from a great manga and anime). You mentioned that you'd be translating a lot of Ozaki parts, and that's great because I'm a huge Ozaki fan too!

I'm afraid that I wouldn't be much use in editing translations, checking their accuracy, and stuff like that, because I don't know Japanese that well (I'm learning, but it's a hard language, u feel) So by editing I meant sort of along the lines of proofreading and fixing any grammar or spelling errors...if you need that. I'm just trying to help any way I can, I'm excited about reading the novel and I cannot thank you enough for making this effort to translate it! At any rate, good luck studying the Japanese; if you ever want to know what the Japanese was on a specific line or feel anything seems off, let me know and I'll give you the original. Likewise, feel free to point out any grammar or spelling errors! The nice thing about journal based translations is quick and easy editing. I am so excited whenever you post a new one; it seems like a really really great book. I bet it's even better in Japanese, I hope to read it myself someday.

I'm not very far in Japanese yet (I have a textbook on it, but it's very slow progress) so it'll be a while before I can start helping or correcting translations. The most I can do is check the English. Did you have to learn Japanese, or are you a native speaker?

Hell yeah, Ozaki is definitely the best character. Most badass doctor ever. Watching his parts always makes me want to be a doctor as well! Thanks for the catch! Thread Reply to this Thread from start Parent no subject (Anonymous) 2014-05-03 04:42 am (UTC)(link) Really, thank you so much. I truly glad to found a translation to the light novel when I am afraid there is no translation at all >.<

I'm curious with the light novel version when I saw there is some kind of difference in manga version and anime version (personality base). I hope this will fulfill my curiosity.

Really, thank you very much for your hard work! >. Thread Reply to this Thread Hide 1 comment Show 1 comment no subject sinnesspiel 2014-05-04 12:31 am (UTC)(link) Welcome and enjoy the read! There are quite a few differences; if you're a big Natsuno, Tohru, or Megumi fan you might be a little disappointed since they're not as central as they were to the anime and manga, but most of the other mains get their personalities fleshed out a lot more.
