"W—wait!" her friends did not hear her and they continued to drag her back to the garden, she looked back at Yohanne who looked shocked. Her friends have a bad timing. Yohanne just confessed to her and Larry just arrived. Larry is one of the basketball varsity players in their school. He is courting her for three months now.
She has a huge crush on Larry because he is so handsome. She felt pity when she saw Yohanne’s shocked and disappointed face. She was unable to answer him since she was pulled away by her friends.
"Oh, how was it?" Eros and Eris asked Yohanne as soon as he came back.
"I’ll go home." He weakly said.
"Eh? Why? What happened?" Eris worriedly inquired.
"I'll just go home." Yohanne uttered again.
"Come on." Eros stood up.
"Eh, wait? We’ll go? Let’s say goodbye to Gazelle first." Eris said, confused.
Eros just grabbed Eris shirt. "I said let’s go."
"Eeee. Wait, let’s inform Gazelle first!"
"We'll go now!"
They went home without telling Gazelle. Eros easily understood what happened and why Yohanne wants to go home; that’s why he chose not to inform Gazelle even though Eris insists that they do.
“Yohanne, what happened?” Eris immediately asked as soon as they went out while walking along the road.
"I'm so stupid! I’m an idiot!" Yohanne went near a post and banged his head. "I was too excited that I forgot that she already has Larry."
"Who is Larry?" Eris asked.
"The varsity player, he is courting her. The guy that I think Gazelle likes."
"Eh? Why do you think so?" Eris curiosly asked.
"I follow Gazelle every day and sometimes I see her with Larry. At first, I thought he was her boyfriend but I overheard that he was still courting her. And I think she likes him because whenever they are together, I always see that she’s happy. She looks like she enjoys his company."
"Did you tell her what you feel about her?"
"Eh?" Yohanne was a bit shocked with Eros' question; it was as if he was not bothered on what he just told them about Gazelle's suitor.
"Did you tell her? Have you confessed? Did you ask if you can court her?"
"Ah… Eh… Yes."
"Then, what did she say?"
"She said nothing. She was dragged away by her friends because Larry just arrived."
"You were not even rejected! Why are feeling depressed?"
"Have you not heard what I said? Larry is already courting her!"
"So what? Is he her boyfriend? Not yet, right? Then court her! Tomorrow ask her answer. If she says "yes" don't be a coward, give your effort in courting her since you do have a rival! Tss! You give up easily! I'll just go home! Do whatever you want!" Eros turned back at Yohanne and walked away.
"Eros wait! Goodbye Yohanne. See you tomorrow! Hey Eros! I said wait!" Eris followed Eros after she said her goodbye.
"Why do you keep on following me as if you're my tail!"
"We have the same road towards home! Bleh!"
"Tss."
"I hope Gazelle would allow Yohanne to court her, even though Larry is already doing so."
"She'll agree."
"Eh? Why do you seem sure of your answer?"
"I already asked her the other day right? When I was with her going home that caused Yohanne to be mad at me."
"Ah, right. Did she tell you about Larry?"
"Somewhat. She said that he's courting her but she does not totally believe him."
"Eh? What do you mean?"
"I don't know. She told me that it looks like Larry is not serious in courting her. She sometimes feels that he doesn't mean what he says, and that she did not ever feel the sincerity in his words."
"Oh my, really? Then why is she still allowing him to court her?"
"It's because she quite enjoys his company and that she feels something for him. She's happy when they are together and she said she's not really sure. She's testing him if he is serious or not."
"Ah, oh my! If ever Gazelle allows Yohanne to court her, I hope he conquers her heart, because at least we are sure that he has sincere feelings for her."
"I don't know." Eros suddenly yawned. "I feel sleepy."
There was a sudden silence between them while they were walking.
"Eros…"
"Oh?"
"Umm…" Eris' head was bowed while walking. "Love is really complicated, right?"
"I don't know. Why did you ask me?"
"It's because you already fell in love right? It means you already experienced the complications between you and your girlfriend."
"Ahh. I don't know." Eros lazily replied.
"How come you don't know? Oh my! You're so—! Tell me something about her!"
"I don't want to. Why should I tell you."
"It's because I can't believe that you already fell in love Eros. I thought that only hatred was in your heart…"
"I only fell in love once, and it's already done that's why I don't have anything to tell you."
"You're so selfish. Hey Eros, did you really loved that girl?"
"You're so annoying. Don't ask."
"What is it… did you love her?"
"I already answered it last night!"
"I already forgot!"
"I don't care!"
"What is it? Did you really love her?"
"Tss! Yes, I loved her and I still love her! What, is it okay now? Please be quiet you are really annoying or else I'll slap you."
Eris was stunned by what he said, she stopped walking. Eros noticed it and he looked back at her.
"Oh? What are standing there for? Why did you stop walking? Let's go!"
"Eros…"
"H-hey! You're crying? Hey! Why are you crying? What's your problem?" Eros was shocked to see the tears spilling down her eyes.
"Eros…" Eris wiped her tears on her arm.
"H-hey crazy angel! Why did you cry? Hey!"
Eros approached her and pulled her arm away from her eyes.
"What happened to you? Who poked your eyes causing you to cry? I'm innocent, I did not do anything to you. I did not make you cry."
Eris laughed for a second even though her tears are still falling.
"Eros… Did you know…" Eris stammered because she's still sobbing. "Did you know…"
"What?"
"Falling in love with someone is actually a miracle?"
"E-eh?" He did not understand what she is trying to convey.
She looked directly in his eyes. "Thank you Eros, thank you."
"Ha? Thank you for what?"
"Thank you for the miracle… Thank you for falling in love with me."
