Skywolf world.
It was nighttime. Most of the commoners in a tiny city were asleep.
Qin Yun was inside an inn. Through the window, he looked far into the night sky. The vertical Eye of Lightning was active at his glabella, the area between his brows was already opened as he observed carefully.
Boom! Boom!
He felt faint fluctuations reach him.
Far away in the clouds, two powerful figures were clashing. They were both existences at the Skydemon level.
"They are both Skydemons that cultivate their bodies. These two Skydemons are about my strength," thought Qin Yun. "Yellow-robed Supremacy was a great demon in the Ancient Heavenly Courts. He spread many powerful ancient demonic Dharmic formulations throughout the Skywolf world, allowing the demons of the Skywolf world to become rather powerful."
Humans were typically more perceptive than demons on average.
But in the Skywolf world… humans did not hold any advantage over demons.
"I have been in the Skywolf world for just slightly over a month. I'm already used to seeing Skyimmortals and Skydemons fight. This is already the thirty-third battle I have encountered in the Skywolf world." Qin Yun reflected on the matter. The Skywolf world had thousands of Skyimmortals and Skydemons. Although the numbers were huge, they tended to avoid mortal residences when fighting. Therefore, the Skywolf world mortals did not think much of the constant battles! While mortals farmed or did their daily business… they would occasionally see powerful demons and immortals fighting in the sky.
This actually inspired more Skywolf world mortals to pursue cultivation! Many wished to cultivate to gain immortality!

Qin Yun closed the window.
He walked to the bed and sat cross-legged on it. He chuckled. "This is the first time I'm staying at a inn since I arrived in the Skywolf world."
"I can sense my Intrinsic Flying Sword's eagerness. Is it about to break through?" Qin Yun extended his left hand. Soon, the Misty Rain Sword appeared in his palm. "In the Great Chang world, mortal sword immortals have historically been able to nurture their Intrinsic Flying Swords to the transcendent-grade at most. As for the Grand Supreme sword immortal lineage, their Intrinsic Flying Swords can reach the ranks of Numinous treasures."
"Although I'm a mortal sword immortal, is it actually possible for my Intrinsic Flying Sword to break through after nurturing it as long as I have?" Qin Yun had no experience in the matter. After all, he had never heard of a mortal sword immortal raising their Intrinsic Flying Sword to the Numinous treasure grade.
However, he had also never heard of mortal sword immortals matching Skyimmortals and Skygods.

Qin Yun waved his hand as the Intrinsic Flying Sword floated in the middle of his room.
He took out the Two World Picture and immediately, a large amount of treasure flew out. The pieces piled on the ground and instantly the room was lit up with all sorts of colors. There was also an ice-cold draft circling the area.
"I'll attempt the breakthrough." Qin Yun stopped repressing the Intrinsic Flying Sword's stirrings and allowed it to absorb the essence from the treasures he laid out.
Immediately, the ice-cold air that lingered surged into the Misty Rain Sword. The treasures beneath lit up as several points of light swarmed into Misty Rain Sword.
Following that, the sword hummed!
The flying sword was beginning to transform!
Qin Yun looked very delighted. His Dao domain had long sealed off his room. Although there was a rich treasure aura and the constant humming of his sword coming from inside the room, no one outside could notice it.
"It has really broken through."
Qin Yun watched in excitement.
The flying sword's humming was a natural result of the transformation that made it tremble. It constantly absorbed the treasures beneath it. And thankfully, Qin Yun had sufficient treasure!
Since he was prepared to lose his life in the Skywolf world, he had left many of his important treasures, like the Minor Empyrean Seal, in his homeworld before setting off. However, he also brought many one-time use treasures with him. He had also prepared a lot of 'food' for the flying sword to specially nourish it.
Now, it had really broken through.
Although it was excited, the flying sword's transformation required a lot of treasures to feed it. The process lasted an entire night, coming to a stop only when it turned bright outside.
"Oh?" Qin Yun waved his hand as the Misty Rain Sword floated above his palm.
The present Misty Rain Sword seemed to be made of ice. It looked very ordinary but, if one observed the blade carefully, one could see a misty rain swirling inside the translucent blade. It was as though a massive world was hidden inside the Misty Rain Sword.
Although its might was completely converged, Qin Yun could sense that as long as he triggered it a little with his Dharmic powers, the Misty Rain Sword would be able to produce staggering strength.
"Numinous treasure. It has finally entered the ranks of a Numinous treasure." Qin Yun was delighted. "Although it's only an inferior-grade Numinous treasure, as an Intrinsic Flying Sword… it can match the power of a superior-grade Numinous treasure."
If a real superior-grade Dharmic treasure was placed in front of Qin Yun, his Dharmic powers would've been insufficient to control it.
His Dharmic powers could at best control inferior-grade Numinous treasures! Of course, compared to things like the Cosmic Bangle, controlling his Intrinsic Flying Sword was a lot easier. It also took less of a toll on his Dharmic powers.
"Compared to the Grand Supreme sword immortal lineage, my realm and Dharma treasure are in no way lacking. I just have weaker Dharmic powers," thought Qin Yun. "However, to have greater Dharmic powers, I need to first condense an Essence Soul! But I failed in my attempt to condense one. Up to this day, I have not found the reason for my failure."

With a wave of his hand, he put away the remnant treasures on the ground. He sensed that his Intrinsic Flying Sword could continue growing.

As an Intrinsic Flying Sword, its growth was contingent on two aspects. One was the Sword Dao the flying sword contained! The other was a sufficient amount of treasures. Since Qin Yun was constantly amassing both, the flying sword was allowed to gradually improve and transform.

He visited many cities and even traversed remote mountains and lakes. Therefore, he visited mountains and lakes no matter how remote they were.
However, after spending two months and three days searching, he had gone from the North Plains continent in the north to the vast ice plains. Qin Yun stood there silently for a long while.

The hundred and eight Guardians selected from thousands of Skyimmortals and Skydemons would be nurtured by Yellow-robed Supremacy. Over time, these Guardians would become significantly stronger. Their positions would only get more stable and it would become harder to replace a Guardian.
But to save his daughter, this was Qin Yun's only choice.
