Back in Will's room.
It took some time to finish digesting the information he gained from the library, currently he was unable to determine if what he discovered was true or not, but one thing was for certain; he could feel something awakening withing him.
The more he feels something branching out through his body, the more he feels a sense of doom.
It seems that by the time his energy channels fully develop, he would have to deal with unwanted attention, more so than what he already has to worry about.
Will could only sigh, he knew the journey ahead would be rough for him, but he never would have thought that he completely underestimated how tough the path ahead would be.
Will laid in his bed as he thought about the rejecteds. He was feeling great concern for Cecily and her father, it might seem strange since they haven't got to get to know each other that well, but Cecily's father seems to be a pretty decent guy.
At the very least he doesn't act how one would think a leader of a demonic sect would act.
He couldn't help but be concerned about the type of punishment the heavens will send down on Cecily and her father for helping him.
Looking out his window, Will watched as large snowflakes slowly fell from the sky. Each snowflake sparkled like pure crystals as they displayed the purity of something untainted by the world.
He stretched out his right hand and looked at a couple pulsing lines slowly moving towards his finger tips.
He was amused at the sight and couldn't wait for the future as he watched several more pulsing lines branch out from the ones that almost finished growing.
Mesmerized by the sight of channels growing in his body, he was interrupted by a sudden loud growl that shook his body.
Speaking of changes..
His appetite has increased immensely since a few days ago, it's to be expected since he was growing something new combined with his blood stirring frequently...
"System"
-Yes? You haven't tried to contact me in a while?
"It's you who is constantly ignoring me, aren't you supposed to make me the most powerful? Isn't that what a system is for?"
The system went quiet after hearing what Will said, the silence lasted long enough it felt mold would grow in ones ears.
-...What did you need?
"I need you to change the display"
The silence was broken as the system changed the subject, it seemed the matter of it being silent recently is a subject that it doesn't want to speak of.
-Why do you want me to change the display?
"Haa, having a screen full of information pop up in my face is really annoying you know? I only want you to display what I ask for, unless you think I should see it"
-Sure… Might as well, in the future I will be interacting with you more often, I need you to get as strong as you can…
"What's wrong?"
-...I'm going now.
Will frowned after talking with the system, it seemed that something was really bugging it, he even sensed a hint of sadness.
What could make this system upset? It's a mighty system after all, not a leveling system, but still a powerful existence nonetheless.
The system being upset was something unexpected to Will, at first the system seemed emotionless, then later he found out it had emotions.
Now something obviously made it upset.
Will could only feel a sense of dread at the thought of this, if something is able to make such an existence upset, wouldn't that mean extreme danger for him?
