Dripping with sweat, Will got off of the ground and looked at the vast void of his mental space, "System, there is no way you can assist me?"
-No way, if you want assistance you can purchase an ability from the ability shop that can assist your ability.
"Ability shop?"
-You haven't unlocked it yet host.
Looking at the twinkling starts everywhere in his mental space, Will sighed.
It was the one hundredth time he passed out, after repetitive potion making.
So far, he successfully made a healing potion, a strength enhancement potion, and a speed enhancement potion.
Although the potions aren't real, he still could get accurate results.
He found out after all this testing, that out of all potions, you can't take physical enhancement potions more than once.
With an exception, if the 'Strength potion' gave and enhancement of two times the strength, the same potion wouldn't work unless you used a strength potion with three times the strength and so forth.
Since he skipped right to three times for his 'learning enhancement' potion, he faced worse side effects than if he started at a lesser potion like he should have.
He decided he should get out of the mental space and check on his surroundings, looking at the wall of information the system provided he found out how to leave.
"Okay!"
Back in the village in the midst of shriveled corpses of the village children, a pale and thin hand stretched out from beneath one of the children's bodies.
Grabbing onto the dirt, the hand dug claw marks into the soil as an extremely skinny boy in blood stained clothes crawled out.
The boy vomited but nothing came out.
Looking around him, the boy's blood shot eyes widened as he saw the surroundings.
Tears started to fall from his eyes.
The boy started to recall the face of the 'demon' that killed everyone in his village.
The boy laid on the ground sobbing as he rolled over and stared at the sky clenching his fists.
"WE DID NOTHING WRONG!!"
Opening his mouth, a weak but powerful voice echoed into the surroundings, causing the trees in the forest to shake.
Closing his eyes, the boy breathed deeply a few times as his fists relaxed.
As a few more tears poured down his face, he opened his eyelids, glaring at the sky as he imagined Will's face.
"I, ARNOLD, WILL KILL YOU!"
(AN: It might confuse you because of me using western names in a cultivation type world. I didn't want to name my character(s) "Dog eat sh*t" on an accident, and I am too lazy to do research, haha)
In the surroundings a dark mist started to gather as he shouted towards the sky.
In that dark mist was a figure that possessed a pair of glowing crimson eyes.
Noticing the child on the ground crying and shouting in anger, the figure's eyes glowed brighter.
"Kekeke, perfect, a nice body to occupy in this world, so much hatred. Kekeke!"
The dark mist surrounded the kid, and with him as the center a vortex formed as all the dark mist flooded his body.
In the surroundings, the trees that weren't destroyed earlier started to wither and rot, the ground even turned into stone.
The corpses turned into dust as a breeze blew by, scattering the remains upon the earth.
Arnold's body convulsed several times as his already weak body became even skinnier.
Snapping his eyes open, a pair of pitch black eyes were revealed as the ground beneath him shattered, causing a small crater to appear.
One of his eyes remained pitch black as his other returned to normal, Arnold shakily stood up as he stumbled to a stream outside of the village.
Looking at the stream Arnold's body shook as he stared at the pitch black eye that replaced his right eye.
-Don't be afraid
Hearing this voice Arnold jumped up and stumbled as his weak body complained, he spun around observing the surroundings.
-Kekeke, don't worry, I am a high ranking demon of the demon world, I will help you get revenge, and in the end your body is mine, you have no say in this, I have already made myself at home
Saying this the pitch black eye darkened even more as Arnold shook in fear, he could feel a foreign presence in his body.
Any thoughts of rebelling were countered with waves of pain.
-Come on, you need to eat something otherwise you'll die before you get revenge
Said the demon in a singing voice.
