TN: Okay, so, character names are confusing. I will refresh your memory before you start reading this chapter.

Jeong-Chan: he is the person who took fifty dollars from our MC and is wearing Eun-Jong’s precious suit. Also he is the reason why MC, Eun-Jong, and seon-bae are now faced with the gang.

Eun-Jong: MC’s hometown buddy who have known MC for a long time starting from high school. He is the true owner of the ‘Alimony’ suit that Jeong-Chan is wearing.

seon-bae: this is not a name but a title that young people call their senior (even if the person is one year older then you, you can use this title to call them). he is the one who informed our MC and Eun-Jong about Jeong-Chan being taken away by the gang.

Before you start reading, we have a new character and he doesn’t have a name in the chapter.

The half moon scareed boss: he is the burliest guy in the group of gang and he gives out orders to the burly bros.

I hope this helped! Enjoy reading.

For two years and two months, after accepting the calling from the country*, I lived in a type of organization. Confront with another type of organization, I could not hide my shaking heart.

*Conscription in South Korea requires male citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 to perform about two years of compulsory military service (Wikipedia)*

Of course, my heart was shaking out of fear. However…one of my problems was that when my emotions become extreme…any expression disappears from my face.

In another word, I become frozen…The funny thing about this condition is that to the other people, my face looks like a death glare. Because of it, people often misunderstand me.

That is how, despite all three of us brought into a darkly lighted office by group of gang members with one sofa as an only furniture in the room, I was able to maintain a blank expression when Eun-Jong and seon-bae showed extreme fear on their faces.

It seemed to me that the gang was made up of burly bros. A burliest bro who looked like he was in his thirties and in charge of the group stepped forward and asked me in a friendly voice.

"Hey shit face…are you looking for death? Eh? Why are you making that f***ing face?!"

Huk! Looking for death…not at all!! Was what I wanted to say but…as I've told you before, I tend to freeze up when I feel extreme emotions.

Instead of speaking my true feelings out loud, I could only try to communicate with my eyes. So, I stared up at the burliest bro with misery in my eyes. To my pleading eyes, the burliest bro who had half moon shaped scar starting from his forehead to his scalp asked me another set of questions.

"What? Why are you glaring? UH? This son of bitch-"

You are mistaken!! I shouted but, unfortunately, my lips did not move so the sound only echoed inside my mouth. Instead of my voice, I heard Eun-Jong whispering in my ears with a trembling voice.

"…are you frozen again?"

Eun-Jong and I were alumnus from same high school. We were hometown buddies who moved to Seoul from Jeon-Ju together to attend the same college, so Eun-Jong was aware of my condition very well.

If you know already, what are you waiting for? Explain this to the half moon scarred boss over there!!

When I was trying to communicate my inner turmoil to Eun-Jong with my eyes, the half moon scarred boss who seems to be pissed came one step close to me. With an iron will, I was finally opened my mouth to speak.

"No."

Of course, what I wanted to say did not come out from my mouth. The profound meaning of the word 'no' was 'I never intended to glare at you, please believe me sir', but it was vexing how the half moon scarred boss did not understand what I was trying to say because his face became even more distorted when he heard my word.

I heard the two figures by my sides sucking their breath in as soon as they saw the half moon scarred boss's face, so I attempted to speak again.

"Where's..my friend?"

What I wanted to convey was 'do you remember my friend you guys took, may I ask where he is?'

Hearing myself talk, I just knew that my life could possibly end today, but unexpectedly the half moon scarred boss's brows twitched before he produced a low chuckle.

"Ha…Aren't you a dogged bastard? Hey, bring in the guy we grabbed earlier."

The two of the ten burly bros who were leaning against the wall behind the sofa disappeared a door that was different from the one that we came through. The two guys reappeared through the door. This time, they were dragging Jeong-Chan by his arms on either sides.

Like a luggage, Jeong-Chan was half dragged, and half carried by the two guys. Seeing this, us three could not help but immediately ran to his side.

As soon as the two guys let go of Jeong-Chan's arms, Jeong-Chan dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

"Jeong-Chan!!"

Seon-Bae yelled Jeong-Chan's name as he dropped to his side. We helped seon-bae turning Jeong-Chan's body around to inspect his face. Jeong-Chan reacted to our hands helping him turning around by speaking faintly.

"..Hehe…..my honey~.. hehe.."

Seon-bae who was very attentive and kind towards his juniors made a face like a Yaksa*. Looking at his face, it was a miracle that seon-bae did not plant Jeong-Chan's face to the ground right then and there.

*Yaksa or Yaksha is refers to deity in Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. Yaksa has a dual personality, some benevolent but some mischievous (Wikipedia)*

For a moment, a cold wind blew from somewhere and brushed passed our crumpled faces. The half moon scarred boss spoke to us in a thick voice without waiting.

"Shit. Because that bastard passed out dead drunk, we couldn't even have a chance to beat him.. I'm still in a f***ed up mood, so it is good that you guys are here. Tell me, which one of you volunteer to be a replacement for your friend? Eh?"

Not missing the cue, the burly bros who were waiting around the room slowly walked toward us, knuckles cracking.

Flustered, all three of us could only look at each other's faces with questions in our eyes. Why the f*** do we have to get beat up for that bastard?!!

"I am going to count to three. If no one steps up, then all of you are dead."

F***!

"One."

OMG.. again, we could only look at each other in panic. We truly did not have any idea how to handle the situation. While we were picturing ourselves found dead in the morning, the half moon scarred boss counted 'two'.

The half moon scarred boss was about to open his mouth to say the word 'three' when Eun-Jong shouted, hastily.

"Wait a minute!"

"What?"

Resolutely determined, Eun-Jong got up to his feet. Seon-bae and I were shocked to see Eun-Jong being so brave.

Is he really going to sacrifice himself for Jeong-Chan?

"There is no law saying that you can't beat up someone who is passed out drunk."

Eun-Jong spoke in a very serious tone of voice. It was a shrewd move but seon-bae and I, we, both nodded out heads to agree that it was an appropriate solution

However, the half moon scarred boss only smirked at us like he was looking at a couple of blockheads as he lightly ordered at the burly bros surrounding us.

"Kill all of them."
