Chapter 6 – The second generation rich of the village
Zhao Qian just happened to be at the gate, seeing Li Yuan she exposed a sweet smile. With a welcome asked: “Why did you come here?”
Li yuan chuckled: “I came to give you tomatoes to taste, you surely will like it!”
Zhao Qian took the plastic bag with a pleased expression: “As long as it’s your gift, I certainly will like it.”
Although it was just a bag of tomatoes, it was given by Li Yuan so Zhao Qian felt happy. She took out two pieces tomato and began to rinse it off the faucet outside the house’s door. On her charming face appeared a faint smile.
Li Yuan at the side wore a smile as he watched every movement of Zhao Qian. Today the young lady was wearing a small plain white dress, which only made her delicateness more prominent. The afternoon sunshine hitting Zhao Qian only further enhanced her fair skin. Once again on her charming face appeared a sweet smiling expression with her eyes bending like the crescent moon. Li Yuan had to admit that she was an extremely beautiful young woman.
Due to the young lady being sensitive, Zhao Qian knew that Li Yuan was watching her. However she did not take offense, instead she even gave of a sweet smile as she finished rinsing the tomato and gave it to Li Yuan.
Li Yuan naturally came closer and urged Zhao Qian: “Quickly taste how it is!”
Although she did not understand why Li Yuan was like this for a tomato, she still obediently took a bite. However after she took a bite, her face showed a pleasant surprise, she could not help but praise Li Yuan: “This tomato’s flavor is really good, furthermore I have never seen such a beautiful tomato!”
“Hehe, it truly is very good!” Li Yuan complacently replied towards Zhao Qian with a smile: “First I was able to accomplish giving it to you, after then I can finally achieve my life’s goal!”
Zhao Qian covered her mouth and gave a small laugh: “Your life’s goal is not to swindle people of their money, it is to accompany beautiful women then create a harem, and enjoy your life in the world?”
These are indeed Li Yuan’s goals in life, he never concealed it to his childhood friend. Hearing what Zhao Qian said, Li Yuan spoke: “I remember you said these for several years, I didn’t expect you still remembered it? Alright, if you have any goals in life, say it and I will help you achieve it!”
Zhao Qian smiled sweetly to Li Yuan, her beautiful eyes sparkled as if she was thinking over that question. After a short period of time, a sound could be heard from someone which interrupted their dialogue.
“Yo, I have just arrived and you two lovebirds are expressing love to each other!”. A man with around the same age as Li Yuan wearing glasses arrived towards the two. His facial expression was filled with self-righteousness leading people to immediately feel annoyed with him. .
Zhao Qian looked at the guy, her smiling expression immediately turned into disgust. Li Yuan’s smiling face did not fade away, but it turned into a sneer.
“Hey, I was wondering who it was, it turns out it was someone from the village of the second generation rich, Wu Gongzi!” Li Yuan did not think of fighting, instead his voice was sarcastic: “Yi, why did Wu Gongzi decide to walk today? Where’s your luxurious sports car? Why would you come here?”
(Gongzi is a honorific used to refer to a son of an official.)
The person who just arrived who’s face was filled with acne was named Wu Hua, Li Yuan referring to him “The second generation rich from the village” was actually very accurate. His father Wu Jinlong is a well-known “l
andlord” in the village, a lot of houses belonged under his name. It is said that every month he receives several thousands of cash from rent. In fact, the current place where Li Yuan is staying is owned by Wu Jinlong.
Due to him taking income from rent, compared to the people in such a small village, Wu Hua can be considered well off. In this way, Wu Hua was known as the young master of the village being a man from the second generation rich.
In reality Wu Jinlong’s family is actually cheap, therefore Wu Hua’s “title” is actually an insult. Especially with Li Yuan’s tone, it was full of mocking.
As for Li Yuan’s question about the sports car, it was a joke to Wu Hua. Wu Jinlong’s family can be considered wealthy in the small village, but it is only limited to that. Last Year, Wu Hua wanted to buy an electric powered vehicle, however Wu Jinlong did not like to spend money. So he did not agree, much less buy a sports car.
As a result of hearing what Li Yuan said, Wu Hua’s complexion turned gloomy, his eyes glared at him.
Because of his home being rich compared to the surroundings, he believed himself to be superior. Especially when last year he passed the entrance exam of a third-rate university, he looked down at his fellow classmate Li Yuan. Today Li Yuan and Zhao Qian were happy together, Wu Hua on purpose made fun of them.
That is not to say the Wu Hua had a good impression of Zhao Qian, he also knew of her condition making him feel that the young beautiful girl was just an empty shell. He thought that she was not worthy of the young master’s attention. Wu Hua with his big ego just wanted to cause mischief.
However Wu Hua did not expect Li Yuan to mock him, naturally he became angry. Although if one were to look at Wu Hua they would see that he is filled with self ego, however he was chicken. Even with Li Yuan being frail with his illness, he still did not have the guts.
But Wu Hua had his way to deal with Li Yuan, with a gloomy expression he spoke: “Li Yuan, all your talk is useless! I remember that you pay once a month for rent? The end of the month is approaching quickly, you better find a way to pay rent or I will tell my dad!”
Wu Hua was confident that he held Li Yuan’s greatest weakness, he joyfully laughed at the other as he walked away.
Before, if the same thing happened, Wu Hua would have made Li Yuan anxious, however now he had the solution with the miraculous peach pit. This insult had no effect on him anymore.
Looking at the back of Wu Hua, on Li Yuan’s face appeared a smile. Zhao Qian was familiar with Li yuan, she knew that he was up to something bad.
In fact it was just so, Li Yuan loudly yelled at Wu Hua: “Quickly look at the acne on your face, it looks like a pimple is swelling, you will soon become a pineapple!”
Wu Hua who was leaving proudly heard those words which caused him to stagger, he quickly sped away.
Wu Hua’s silhouette quickly faded away, Zhao Qian could not bare but laugh, she playfully said to Li Yuan: “You are truly bad, you right away spoke about Wu Hua’s acne, you touched his sore spot!”
Li Yuan confidently spoke: “Should he not also be blamed from bringing up my rent? I just paid him back by mentioning his body!”
“Alright alright, whatever you say!” Zhao Qian’s face became dignified, her eyebrows creased at Li Yuan: “But this end of the month, have you found a way? Do you want to talk to my parents about it, first…”
Li Yuan did not wait for Zhao Qian to finish before he interrupted her: “No, rent is just a small issue. I can solve it, be rest assured!”
