Lu Tianlong really felt as if he had heard a joke, which was not funny in the least. "We still need to consult you? Do you know who the man standing in front of you is? He is a General!"
"As it's a matter of cooperation of your team with mine, titles have no meaning. If you want me to respect you, you also have to respect me!" emphasized Jiang Liushi.
From Jiang Liushi's perspective, nobody could order him around. Not even General Zhang had ordered him to obey his command. He could only accept the form of cooperation to join this mission. If he were to cave in and allow Han Yuan to take command, it would be the same as handing himself and his teammates to Han Yuan on the plate. Jiang Liushi would never make a compromise that would threaten his team's interests.

Han Yuan prevented Lu Tianlong from arguing with Jiang Liushi. If that were to continue, both sides would give tit for tat.
"Captain Jiang, actually, everyone in the Assault Team is free and don't need to follow lots of rules. They can even stay with their original squad if they want. Although I'll be in charge, I would never suppress anyone," explained Han Yuan politely.
"But I think you should know one more thing, only the Assault Team under my command is allowed to hunt for mutant beasts," added Han Yuan.
Han Yuan emphasized on that as he wanted to let Jiang Liushi know that it was in his best interests to submit. No other military squad could offer what Han Yuan could. In Han Yuan's mind, Jiang Liushi was just like all the other survivors' teams' captains who had decided to join the military's ranks for their personal interests.
Unfortunately, Han Yuan had totally misjudged Jiang Liushi. He didn't want to join the military at all. The decision to cooperate with them was just for the sake of getting more chances to search for Black Light. In other words, Jiang Liushi was looking for wealth and ways to increase his and the team's strength. For paranormals, mutant beasts represented wealth and strength. Naturally, Jiang Liushi wanted to try his best to hunt down mutant beasts.
Han Yuan believed that Jiang Liushi would get more benefits if he were to join the military. After all, under the military's protection, Jiang Liushi could find more chances to kill mutant beasts outside.
"Last but not least, the Black Hole is too dangerous for all of us," said Han Yuan nervously. He was trying his best to catch Jiang Liushi's interest.
When Jiang Liushi heard that, he sneered in his heart. He had seen through Han Yuan's intention, especially after emphasizing that the military could provide protection for him. Unfortunately, how could Han Yuan know that Jiang Liushi real objective was to destroy and absorb the Black Hole!?

Han Yuan's smile turned stiff when he heard that. "Isn't that the Shi Ying Squad's minibus? Let's go that way!" ordered the officer.

"Really?" Wei Feifei asked immediately, "Where? Are you sure?"
"Just…outside the door!" replied Peach.
"Let's go to see," said Wei Feifei. She already wanted to leave as she couldn't stand Tang Cangyun's annoying face. It was a good chance for them to relax a little.
Unexpectedly, Tang Cangyun followed them and shouted, "Hey, what are you doing? Don't run around. General Han will be here soon!"
Tang Cangyun intended to take good advantage of Wei Feifei and Peach's special abilities in order to get General Han's attention. However, in such a critical moment, the two girls wanted to go out!
"I hope it's Captain Jiang's team!" said Peach with bright eyes.

"You can't go!" said Tang Cangyun coldly.
"What? What qualifications do you have to stop us!?" asked Wei Feifei at once.
"Oh, I didn't mean that way." Tang Cangyun smiled. Although he was displeased with the two girls and wanted to teach them a lesson, he had to suppress his anger and smile at them.

"Oh! It's really Captain Jiang!"
After getting out of the door, Wei Feifei and Peach saw Jiang Liushi, as well as several soldiers beside him.
"Is that him? Jiang Liushi?" whispered Tang Cangyun as his eyes were locked on the 20-year-old man who looked like a college student.
In the next moment, Tang Cangyun's attention was attracted by another person, or better the insignia on his shoulder; a golden olive branch with two gold stars! He was a Major General!
'Han Yuan!' Tang Cangyun's eyes shined. He hadn't expected that Han Yuan was already there and that he would be conversing with Jiang Liushi. As the flames of jealousy were intensifying, Tang Cangyuan heard the female guard's sharp voice.
"You are just a small team. What qualifications do you have to cooperate with the military on equal terms?" barked the female guard as she was annoyed by the smile on Jiang Liushi's face.
