Luo Chenxi raised her head and saw Mu Yichen’s tall figure coming in against the light.
He walked in with his long legs and looked at the people in the living room with a cold expression.
His gaze fell on Luo Chenxi for a few more seconds.
Luo Chenxi’s heartbeat sped up uncontrollably.
For a moment, she felt relieved. It was as if Mu Yichen’s appearance gave her a feeling that she had someone to rely on.
However, she immediately calmed down.
‘What was I thinking?
‘Young Master Mu doesn’t acknowledge me, so he must be on his mother’s side. How could he possibly help me?’
“Mom, when did you come back? You should’ve told me so that I could’ve gone to pick you up,” said Mu Yichen.
Tan Yueru’s expression softened when she saw her most outstanding eldest son.
“You have so many matters to attend to in your company, so why would I want you to pick me up? Anyway, we have a chauffeur at home, so it’s convenient for me to come back.”
Mu Yichen nodded. “Weiwei keeps on whining everyday that she misses you, so you should ask her to have a good chat with you.”
As he spoke, he glanced at Luo Chenxi and suddenly said, “Can’t you see that Tang Tang is tired? Why are you still standing here? Bring her back to her room so that she can rest!”
Luo Chenxi was stunned for a second.
Then, she revealed a trace of joy.
Although Mu Yichen’s said that with an unpleasant tone, he had implied that he agreed to let the little dumpling go with her!
Hence, she hurriedly said, “Okay, I understand.”
After saying that, she hugged the little dumpling, turned around and left.
She moved very swiftly. In just a few seconds, she ran up to the second floor and into Tang Tang’s room.

Hence, she couldn’t help but turn around and glare at her son. “Yichen, what are you trying to do? How could you be so careless? How could you let that kind of woman get close to Tang Tang and let her take care of Tang Tang alone? Have you forgotten what she did?”
Mu Yichen’s expression didn’t change as he said indifferently, “She’s been doing very well recently. Moreover, Tang Tang likes her very much. If I don’t let them be together, Tang Tang will cry.”

“It’s almost time for dinner. Mom, you should get some rest first. I just called Yiling to come home for dinner tonight.”
With that, Mu Yichen turned around and headed upstairs.
