The performance of Lin Ruize was so amazing that the audience was still talking about him and did not realize when Danjinos went to the stage.
Though the host had announced him many times and he asked the audience to welcome Danjinos, people ignored his notification.
Danjinos cared not about their reactions; instead, he was satisfied with this situation and his lips curved into a beautiful smile.
He did not choose any instrument, nor did he ask the band for musical accompaniment. He chose to sing alone. At first people thought he was giving up this round, but when he opened his mouth, they found they were wrong.
He chose Opera 2, like the representative of Vitas from Russia, who was famous for his dolphin-like sounds. At the beginning, people felt little about his skills, but when his voice rose in tenor, the hall became quiet, and everybody stared at him on the stage. Soon he came to the climax and the resonance shook the crystal lamp hanging on the ceiling. This phenomenon happened when Vitas had sang the song, but when Danjinos hit those high notes, the chandelier trembled even more violently.
Even Lu Mengmeng was shocked by his performance.
What a beautiful sound came from him!
She realized that he was a merperson, and merpeople had the habit of singing to the moon from the ancient times. They were born singers.
Though she realized this fact, she was still attracted by his voice. His song was like a ship, dancing on the ocean. Lu Mengmeng could not help but follow his turns and dips, like dancing with him on the surface of the sea.
When the song was finished, people were still entranced by it and would not wake up.
Danjinos understood he must have won this round.
One minute later, some applause sounded slightly. The audience came to realize the song had ended, and they applauded him great
ly.
“President, why don’t we vote for both of them?” the deputy president of the Students Union suggested.
“Yes, I think so. They both are quite good! Look, my tears. . .” The president dabbed tears from his nose.
Danjinos won this round with a surpassing majority. His song was from the heart, and everybody found themselves moved by his sincerity and knew him better through his sounds. It was hard to describe the experience, which urged them to vote to Danjinos. Lin Ruize was forgotten by them and got only a few votes.
When Lu Mengmeng saw the final result on the screen, she was concerned about Lin Ruize’s feeling, and went to comfort him. “Lin Ruize, you are great! Don’t be disappointed. I mean, you are really a good singer. . .”
The boy’s eyes got a little red and swollen. His hands showed his nervousness. “Little Dan, he was so cool! Not only his sound, but the whole performance was also charming. Oh, my god, he is the favorite among all creatures. He . . . he is so beautiful!”
Lin Ruize could not help to praise him, and each sentence was sincere, from his heart. Lu Mengmeng was surprised by his strange appearance. But to keep him in a good mood for the competition, Mengmeng covered her confusion.
Suddenly, a pair of hands cupped her face and turned her head in another direction.
“Hey, I am the winner. Shouldn’t you come to me instead of him?”
Danjinos had appeared without her realizing it, and he didn’t like Lu Mengmeng’s partiality for Lin Ruize.
What a stupid girl! Why did she always ignore him?
Then, he sent all his rage upon Lin Ruize.
“You, have you seen my capability now? You are welcome to surrender to me.”
Lin Ruize turned away, his face shy as he looked at the ground. He nodded. “Yes, Little Dan, you are so amazing! Anyway, we still have another round of basketball, right?”
Little Dan?
He got goose bumps when heard of this intimate mention. What did he mean?
Danjinos started to think about it. Recently, Zhao Bu was teaching him about the romance of human beings using some novels. He had read some females used the strategy of pretending to be generous to win in a love triangle relationship. Was Lin Ruize using the same scheme on him?
What a dirty man
He should fight back.
“Oh, we only have a round of basketball left. I am so hungry. Shall we buy some snacks to take home?” Danjinos was touching his stomach as he asked Lu Mengmeng.
How Lu Mengmeng wanted to kill Danjinos when she heard this. She did not want Lin Ruize to misunderstand their relationship. She glared at Danjinos with hatred, implying for him to shut up.
Lin Ruize was confused by Danjinos’s words, and asked, “You . . . you are living together? What’s your relationship?”
