One step, two steps, three steps…
Tian Yi slowly walked the last ten steps in an elegant fashion, and with each step he took, the spectators' hearts pounded loudly.
Step! Step! Step!
Tian Yi was now at the 100,000th step, only one step away from the 11th level!
The spectators could feel their heart jumping out of their throat from anticipation.
However, just right as Tian Yi raised his legs to take that final step to create a new legend, a voice of wrath sounding like a vengeful god descended from the heaven.
"I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE A MONARCH OR A GOD! GET THE FUCK OUT AND PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES!"
The clouds in the sky suddenly all went in the same direction, and a middle-aged man an enraged expression flew towards where the competition was held!
This middle-aged man showed an expression as though he wanted to kill every human being walking on earth, and on his red face was dozens of popping vein that looked as though it could pop at any moment!
"Long Mulan!" Senior Yu who have seen his face before cried out with shock.
Long Mulan, the guardian of Long Chen, has come for revenge for the death of his beloved son!
"YOU KILLED MY SON, SO I WILL KILL EVERYBODY IN THIS CITY THAT YOU SEEM TO WANT TO PROTECT!"
In the midst of his words, Long Mulan viciously waved his sleeves, causing thousands of fireballs to rain from the sky into the Soaring Sun City!
"Ahhh! Who's this bastard?! Is he crazy?!"
"He dares to cause a ruckus with Senior Yu's presence?!"
"Fuck your mother! Fuck your father! Fuck your nine generations! How dare you interrupt at such an important point in history?!"
The spectators who did not know of his identity cried out loud, some even directly cursing at Long Mulan, a Monarch from the Qing Dynasty!
Tian Yi who was able to step onto the 11th level halted his steps, and his brows narrowed with fury.
"Ever since I came down here, again and again, evil people like you keep interrupting my fun!"
He was fed up with the endless wave of people coming to do evil things in his presence. First, it was the bandits that attacked him. Then, it was with Tian Long who has committed a number of crimes that was anything but low. After that was Long Chen who went mad and attacked a crowd of innocent people. Now, another one with the name surname as the previous two appears? How many 'Long' does he have to kill until the heaven would be satisfied?!
"Scram!"
No longer caring to hide his identity as the mysterious senior, Tian Yi waved his sleeves, and the thousands of fireballs exploded in mid-air, causing the air to tremble.
Long Mulan came to a sudden halt upon seeing his attack fail. He then looked at Tian Yi who was at the top of the stairway, and his eyes widened with surprise.
"One step away from the 11th level!" he cried out.
"Who are you?!" Long Mulan shouted while looking at Tian Yi.
"Who am I? Who are you! And why have you come here to attack these innocent people?!" Tian Yi replied with a question.
"You must have heaven-defying talents to climb so high! However, don't get cocky! No matter how talented you are, you are a nobody under this heaven ruled by the Qing Dynasty! If you do not wish to seek trouble from my Qing Dynasty, then do not interfere with my cause here!" Long Mulan said, alerting everybody there.
"Qing Dynasty?" Tian Yi frowned. He has heard of this name before, and it was from reading a scroll.
"You are from the Qing Dynasty? The Qing Dynasty is the ruler of the Spirit Realm in the Ninth Heaven! I refuse to believe that someone like you who just dared to attack countless innocent people to be part of them!" Tian Yi said, dumbfounding Long Mulan with his knowledge.
Tian Yi refused to believe that his family would give power to a family that would dare hurt the innocent, let alone to people who would not mind committing mass murder!
"You don't want to believe me? Hmph! That is not my problem!" Long Mulan coldly snorted. "I am here today to avenge my son, Long Chen and his adopted son! I don't care if you are a heaven-defying genius or even the Son of Heaven! Nobody here today will be able to stop me from finding and killing this bastard!"
Then, he reached for the black spear that was on his back. "Today, I will avenge my son even if I have to consume every soul here!"
Tian Yi's anger soared the moment Long Mulan said his last sentence. "You dare?!" his voice boomed in the air.
"There is nothing that I, Long Mulan, does not dare!"
"Black Lightning!" Long Mulan pointed his black spear at the Soaring Sun City, and countless black lightning thundered from the sky with the intent to destroy everything below!
"STOP!"
Tian Yi roared, his eyes glowed gold, and an unfathomed pressure swept the place, shattering every line of lightning that struck!
Long Mulan's eyes widened in shock, not daring to believe what he'd just witnessed.
He stood there with his spear still pointing at the Soaring Sun City, too shocked to move!
"You, a person from the Qing Dynasty, actually dared to attempt mass murder in front of my presence? Good! You people from the Qing Dynasty are very trustworthy! To think my family allowed your people to take care of this place was their mistake!"
Tian Yi's words caused an apprehensive feeling to appear in Long Mulan's heart, causing him to feel as though he accidentally walked into a house of some high-standing figure.
Tian Yi suddenly waved his sleeves, and the clouds that drifted one way suddenly flowed backward!
He then turned to look at Yu Bing who was frozen from shock, staring at him with astonishment.
After looking at her, he turned to look at the final step of the stairway, and he raised his leg to take the final step!
TREMBLE!
The entire stairway shuddered violently from that final step. The tremor was so powerful this time that nearly everybody on the stairway directly rolled off the stairway!
"T-The 11th level!"
The people below cried out loud, their gaze staring at Tian Yi who was standing on the peak of the stairway with admiration.
Now standing at the peak of the stairway, Tian Yi took some time to enjoy the scenery.
'This is a good place…' he thought to himself.
Then he looked at Long Mulan and frowned. 'But with people like him taking care of this place, I'm afraid it'd be destroyed sooner or later,' he sighed to himself.
"This place… I will definitely come back here when I have the time…" Tian Yi smiled gently, sending chills down everybody's back.
Why was he smiling like that?
Yu Bing suddenly had a premonition that something bad was about to happen.
"However, before I leave this place, I must do some clean up so it would not get destroyed before my next visit…" Tian Yi waved his sleeves, and his face began cracking as though it was glass.
Crack. Crack. Crack.
The cracked pieces of his disguised face began falling off, and everybody there watched with wide eyes as an entirely new face, bit by bit, appear behind the fallen pieces!
Moments later, when all of the pieces have fallen off from his face and the true appearance of Tian Yi was finally revealed to the public, the entire place turned dead silent!
The place was so silent that the only thing that could be heard were the beating hearts of the people!
Upon witnessing Tian Yi's true appearance, Long Mulan's eyebrows spasmed in shock, Senior Yu's jaw dropped from the sky to the floor, the sect masters could feel their heart screaming with jealousy, and Yu Bing's eyes exploded with countless hearts!
