[Bul-Raid](TL: It's a pun on "blade". The "Bul" is the first letter for the Korean word "Impossible.")

A humanoid monster with blades replacing the hands and feet. The number of blades increases according to the number of enemies facing it.

There is no upper limit to the number of blades it can create, nor anything they can't cut. The individual monsters are known to create blades out of different types of metal.

Theoretically, a monster that's impossible to subjugate.

At my parents' behest, I too had to believe in a god.

My faith didn't come from the bottom of my heart. But, even though I never became as devoted as my parents, I still was praised for being adequately faithful as I grew older.

My dad usually would tell me the exact same thing over and over again until I feared his mouth would wear out.

"Our god is always watching out for us."

Inwardly, I always used to laugh at him every time he said that. However, I never forgot to reply that I believed him.

'If that's true, then our god must be a serious pervert.'

Well, after those terrible monsters were let loose onto the unsuspecting world, he simply chose to watch on as we were getting devoured with no means to defend ourselves.

The so-called 'monsters'.

Living creatures that looked rather monstrous.

I heard that, even before I was born, the monsters appeared in the world without any warning signs, and proceeded to recklessly destroy humanity's civilization, their wealth, and their lives.

And now, the present.

What has the b*stard called God done until now?

Not a thing.

He didn't even lift a single finger as tens of millions of people were slaughtered. He even ignored the voices of the true believers begging to be saved.

However...

"Our god is always watching you...."

My father remained the same right to the last moment, as the flames of his life faded away. How could he remain so faithful like that, when he lost his wife, his daughter, and now, even himself?

I couldn't bear it anymore.

"There is no such thing as a god in this world!"

If there was, then he was a devil instead!

...Looking back now, that sure was a childish act. And no, I wasn't regretting the fact that I couldn't let my dad pass away with peace of mind.

Because... Ten years after that nightmarish day...

[A certain god is perplexed by you.]

A suspicious message suddenly appeared before my eyes.

It seemed that my father was right.
