Unreasonable Adults

[A/N: I was at the end of my grief for , and I thought I’ve put the previous page up last night(‘_’) ]

[T/N: As far as I know, is a light novel/manga/future anime, here’s a link.]

“Are they really going? Although they are about the same level as the previous two, the number of opponents is fifteen. I think it’s not necessary for a young kid like her to forcibly fight like this.”

“That’s right, young lady! The number they have is too many!”

“I will accept it! I can’t go home like this!”

Some of the audiences got nervous for Sharuru’s body.

Naturally. Two battles suddenly happened on the spot, and now the power difference was 7 times greater than the last. But there are things Sharuru can’t give up on.

Age barriers, especially those who aim to be a Challenger from early childhood will eventually exceed those tall barriers inevitably. It’s like being half-dead, by waiting for the next opportunity without understanding anything.

[T/N: Don’t ask me.]

The executive committee who heard the answer of such Sharuru heated up immediately. Even if you do it, even if you quit, the result will be the same as our opinion won’t change. You don’t have that much difficulty not doing it if you lose or decline you’ll just be rejected all the same. Just that.

“Alright, there’s no choice. Let’s do it. The rules are simple. Let’s think about the result if you knock down everyone within 30 minutes. Now, start!!”

The situation is progressing according to the plan of the executive committee to start the final exam without knowing death.

15 opponents rushed out as soon as the start, keeping several meters away from each other and surrounding Sharuru in a circle. In order to prevent everyone from hitting each other, they inevitably have come up with two choices whether to enlarge the space or to form a row and attack at the same time. It seems the strategy is to attack without making an escapable route, as it seems disadvantageous to challenge by one person at a time. It turned to attack one by one or to pincer attack from front and back.

(Well, what to do…)

For Sharuru, it’s not a problem for a 2 vs 1. Because she had the opportunity to train with her parents when she was little. She knows to a certain degree how to do it. The problem here is that all the other directions are completely occupied. Even if you avoid side by side, you’ll be intercepted from another direction.

The same thing will happen even if you prevent attacks upfront and behind with a sword and a sheath. People who can’t move with their hands occupied is only a bigger target. Even if Sharuru is the same age and extremely strong, it is impossible to take on the blade with a flesh without armor.

And there is one more problem. That is the difference between stamina. Even if you only have one opponent, there is a limit to keeping an adult male’s attack with one hand from both sides.

Then, you could only use your head afterward. I have no choice but to think of a good strategy.

(For now, I can only try it.)

Even as I think about it, the clock is ticking.

“Teyaaaahhh!”

It also includes the meaning of motivating myself, I kick the ground while raising my voice.

As the opponent jumped to mid-air, I ran through the gap created under the air. Concentrating your power on your legs to this degree is nothing. Then moving to a distance to check the whole 15 of my opponents.

From here onwards, there are no more strategies, just beat your opponent.

With full speed, I grasp the handle with both hands so as to able to make a single strike without dividing the power on the left and right weight of the body.

“Gah-”

“Gu-”

Examiners lying down on the ground while groaning.

It didn’t take long for all 15 to be defeated.

“Haa Haa…How’s that!!”

It was Sharuru who was running out of breath in the rare experience of fighting this number of people with full power but still showed her victory with a firm tone.

Then what does that mean? Until a while ago two people were defeated and beaten in the face, there is no appearance of panic all this time.

“Well, it’s the result of my long thinking.”

I felt tense and swallowed my saliva.

“As expected you can’t pass.”

“W-why…!?”

I didn’t reply to the unexpected cold words said. The judges began to explain to the crowd of audience.

“Listen carefully. You have knocked down two adult men as though you not blessed with a physique. Although it was almost impossible at that point, even the overwhelming power difference with 15 people was easily destroyed. Such a thing can’t be thought in our common sense. Whether you either drank medicine or something or match-fixing by somebody else, I can’t believe it.”

Although I listened calmly, sadness welled up more than anger as he was talking. Even the ignorant Sharuru who does not know the dark side of society, she could easily understand how unreasonable the things she was told.

Why do we have to feel such sadness just by fighting proudly.

“Such a thing, it is terrible to go this far!!”

[T/N: From the prologue.]

“That’s right! You are too ruthless!”

“Can this kid really do that, are you really serious!?”

People around also appealed to defend Sharuru in a dispute. The noise changed from cheering to angry voices.

“Shut up, do not make such a loud voice!”

[T/N: Also from the prologue.]

“Everyone be quiet!! Passing candidates will get their certificate of passing canceled!”

The place soon calmed down. This has not happened to the exam until now. That threat has a reasonable force, the threat of depriving the certificate is above all.

“Whew… Anyway, as I said earlier. The conclusion that we made won’t change so just give up.”

“Wait a second–“

[T/N: This part resulted in me editing the prologue for a bit.]

That’s to say. The executive committee left the spot with an unpleasant look as much as to say. Everyone else went out of the hall with rugged looks.

After a while Sharuru was left alone. Together with her feelings out of place.

There are no words to expect for this situation. But the tears as large as a grain spread out. This is the result of Sharuru herself’s lack of ability that can’t be helped. It is a natural result to accept. However, what actually hindered Sharuru’s dream was adults who were unreasonable and didn’t think female swordsmen were acceptable.

Needless to say, there is no harm done to this purely powerful girl. She still can’t help but blame herself.

(If I quit at that time, I wonder if I wouldn’t feel like this… …I wonder if I couldn’t have jumped in without knowing anything…)

I managed to reach outside--

“I was waiting, Sharuru=Mana”

--A girl with a dignified smile was waiting.

[A/N: If you found anything to fix, such as the use of words, I would like to hear your impressions.]

[T/N: I agree.]
