Chapter 13
"The Goddess of Yggdrasil"
I prepare myself as the Loli Elf came charging to me. First, I have to try what I thought to non-living things. It will not be funny if what I think did not work while she is charging into me.
I look at the icon for the floor and focus all my attention into it. The icon expands just like earlier.
Name: Floor
Status: N/A
Command: standby unless a strong force is applied
I look at the end of the word ‘applied’ and the blinking icon appear. Alright, now I should try to change the command. This icon is not a status icon but more like a console. That means everything written in it similar to programming. Name is the variable of the subject, status is the current status of the variable and command is the program. That means I can change what was written in there… however, how am I going to type in there? I don’t see any keyboard. Ohh.. when I think that I want to type ‘hole’, the word was written into it… When I think of deleting what was written, everything dissapear. This is amazing, I can type what I want just by thinking about it. I hope there is a keyboard in our world as convenient as this. Then that means, it is possible to do this!
While the loli elf is running, the floor suddenly crack and her right leg dig into the ground. Due to her right leg suddenly being caught in the hole, she fall face first into the floor.
Bam!
That was a powerful face slam into the ground. I can’t believe that it actually works. Anyway, time is of the essence now. I think it is possible to save everyone, including the loli elf right now. Hmm? What do I mean by saving the loli elf? Silly, when we check her status earlier what written in there is ‘Charmed’ and ‘Cursed’. I don’t know what being cursed in this world mean but charm is without a doubt similar to those debuffs in MMORPG.
Alright, I focus my attention into her icon and her status is displayed. I then delete what was written in her status and make it ‘Healthy’ just like what I have when my status was checked in the castle of Basil.
It was successful… however it revert back to ‘Charmed’ and ‘Cursed’ almost immediately. The loli elf then move her hands, looks like she is trying to get up. I quickly added ‘Sleeping’ on her Status and she stop moving. I wait for a bit but looks like it is safe.
Phew, I don’t want to deal with her anymore but this makes it clear that she is in an abnormal condition. I go to where Henko and the others are and just like what I did to the loli elf, I overwrite their Status into ‘Healty’.
“I can’t believe that Meliseum-sama will try to kill us, she must be an imposter. I wonder where the real Meliseum-sama is”
Vine-san said that while looking at the sleeping loli elf after everyone was back to normal.
“Unfortunately, she is the real Meliseum. However, she has a charmed and cursed state”
“Charmed? Impossible, how can someone like Meliseum-sama be charmed. She has a very strong will so the person who charmed her must be really powerful”
“Is that so?”
“Yes, anyway… all Loli Elves are cursed so you can just ignore that. However, I don’t know how we can meet Yggdrasil-sama now without the Meliseum-sama’s Waypoint of the Tree”
For a bit, I wondered what ‘Waypoint of the Tree’ is but suddenly, it feels like I know what it is. This is strange… but…
“Hm.. Maybe it will work like this?”
I added ‘Waypoint of the Tree’ in the status of everyone. I’m not sure if this will work but I have the feeling that I am not mistaken in doing this.
“I think we can go meet Yggdrasil now”
“Huh? There is no way.. If we go to that door, I’m sure that we will be back here in just few minutes. The only way that we can be sure that we can meet Yggdrasil-sama is that you will feel something…… when.. you pass to this door? I felt something… what? Can we really meet her? What did you do?”
“Even if you ask me… for some reason, I know what I need to do but at the same time I don’t know what I am doing. It’s hard to explain”
Henko and Jotaro was also looking at me worriedly. I wave my hand and smile into them to dispel their concern.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine… It’s just, I am still trying to figure out what happen to me. Anyway, let’s meet Yggdrasil. Maybe she knows something that may help us”
“You are right, very well. Let us be on our way”
We discuss on what to do with the loli elf and we decided to bring her with us. I told them that I put her to sleep and it will be safe for a while. I was tasked in carrying her. Oi~ I’m tired from fighting her and saving you all. This should be the job for Jotaro but he just follow the lead of Vine-san ignoring my complains as if he did not hear it. After going down the dark and endless spiral stairs for around 5 mins, we finally reached the bottom and I can see a door. We open the door and go inside.
“Ahhh~ We are finally out. I don’t want to think about our way in going back. I’m so tired right now”
Henko stretched her arms once we are out of the dark stairway.
“For a moment I thought that we will be back from where we came from. I was actually worried”
Vine-san said that while looking around in the room. Looks like she really is relieved that we arrive to our destination.
“If you want to take a rest, come here and have a seat. We have a lot to talk about”
While we were talking to each other, a calm soothing female voice talked to us from behind the wall. She then step out and show her appearance. Everyone was surprised by her beauty. I was also surprised but for different reason.
“You are… the Goddess… Silica?”
I ask the woman in front of us whose appearance is similar to the one who appear in the dreamlike space earlier when I fought the loli elf.
