Chapter 55 – Kiss
Mr . Yin Ze’s face had a bitter expression like he had just swallowed two catties* of bitter gourd . He had taken a shower earlier and in the end, the result he had waited for turned out to be this .
(One catty is a weight measure equivalent to 600 gms . )
Gao Yu Lan hardened her heart and ignored him . She tidied up the house, took a bath, and brushed her teeth . When she returned to the bedroom she found Mr . Yin-Zei sitting listlessly on the bed . Gao Yu Lan walked over and pinched his nose and he responded by opening his mouth to bite her hand . Giggling, she withdrew her hand and snuggled under the quilt ready to sleep .
Suddenly Yin Ze fiercely pounced on her and pinned her down . “Bad girl, tell me when did I offend you to torture me like this?”
“When did I torture you?” Miss Bao Zi looked at him innocently . “You know I’ve always been bullied and when I took someone home, my parents became bias against me in just two days . How can I have the ability to bully and torture others?
“Ai……you are a jealous bun . ” Yin Ze rested his head against her head . “If your dad and mom like me, it will save you a lot of trouble, ah……you should feel happy . The result now is…… you’re secretly feeling jealous, so petty……”
“I’m not jealous . ” She denied .
“Then what do you mean by acting like this now?”
“Now, I’m learning how to ‘swim’ . ” She saw the frustration on his face and felt a little smug .
Yin Ze’s face turned green and he shouted . “Is ‘swimming’ like this? Bullying your husband?”
“Just practicing . ” Miss Bao Zi did not feel embarrassed at all . In fact, she had just experienced a little ‘bullying’ happiness .
Mr . Yin-Zei looked at Miss Bao Zi’s proud expression and felt his teeth itched with hatred . He took a fierce bite on her face and then lifted the quilt to snuggle under it . With a sweep of his hands, he hugged Miss Bao Zi tightly which made her cried out in pain .
When Mr . Yin-Zei heard Miss Bao Zi’s painful cries, he felt a little satisfaction and gritted his teeth . “If you don’t treat me well, I’ll make you feel pain . ”
Miss Bao Zi squinted her eyes and smiled . Her Mr . Yin Ze is really childish……and so cute!
She leaned forward to kiss him on his lips and Yin Ze purposely turned his head away and said . “I’m not letting you kiss me so that you’ll keep thinking of me . ”
Gao Yu Lan pinched him at the waist and replied . “Who’ll keep thinking? I’m going to sleep . ” After speaking, she turned around and went to sleep .
Yin Ze slowly turned his head back and looked at Gao Yu Lan who was falling asleep and the root of his teeth started to itch again . Looking at the back of her head, he listened to her breathing, and as he listened and watched……he slowly calmed down . He did not know how long it was before Gao Yu Lan eventually fell asleep . Yin Ze listened to her gentle long-drawn breathing and reached out his hands to gently pull her into his arms . When her sleep was disturbed, she frowned slightly and mumbled a few words but she was not fully awake . She rolled over to find a comfortable position, then naturally nestled into his arms and soon fell asleep again .
This night, Yin Ze did not sleep well . The next day he got up in a bad mood, feeling unhappy . And after preparing breakfast, he left without waiting for Gao Yu Lan to finish her breakfast . Anyway, their workplaces were along the same road where they lived and so there was no need to drive to work .
Gao Yu Lan also did not mind because she also has a busy schedule as she had arranged for a meeting with Yin Ning to discuss her business plan . She had discussed this plan with Yin Ze earlier and he had given his initial approval but she still needed an implementation plan and a budget statement . So Gao Yu Lan and Yin Ning agreed to discuss the plan in detail .
Gao Yu Lan’s opinion was like this . She and Yin Ning, both were unfamiliar with those fashion activities held by the magazine because it involved various types of brands and products . It also required hosts or teachers with professional knowledge in related fields or something similar to make the activities fun and informative . First, she and Yin Ning did not have such resources, and secondly, both of them did not have this kind of expertise since they were rarely involved . In the end, this would be strenuous and unrewarding for them .
So Gao Yu Lan decided this type of activity should be carried out jointly with cooperation from the magazine or related units . Both of them would concentrate on the collection of funds, collect some experience, and expand the resources of media cooperation to promote the shop and gather more publicity .
And her last point was to integrate and make use of Yin Ze and Yin Ning’s skills and resources to run a gourmet baking course . Set up cooking classes to teach and sell some food ingredients, or something similar . In this way, it would be killing two birds with one stone .
“We are targeting the petite bourgeoisie who have the spare cash and the spare time who are interested in doing this . The fees charged can be priced higher since we are selling interest and service . Each class will only take in a maximum of ten students and each person works independently so it will be more fun . So we need ten worktables, additional ovens and also the smoke exhaust system has to be strengthened and upgraded . ” While Gao Yu Lan gestured as she spoke in the shop .
“Space should not be a problem . ” Yin Ning looked around the shop and thought the idea was very feasible . Baking is her forte and she can also teach the students how to prepare coffee and drinks .
“Sister Yin Ning, you will be responsible for preparing recipes and drawing up the teaching programs . We don’t have to turn this into a serious matter because everyone spends their money here just to have some fun like baking cakes and bread . But make sure they can achieve a high success rate with high-standard good-looking finished products as well as learning to pair food with drinks . Learning to brew coffee and prepare tea is also fun . Teach them whatever you can and it will be easy to satisfy their sense of accomplishment . Then they can go back to show off to their friends and husbands . Once they feel happy, they will come back again . ”
Yin Ning nodded repeatedly as she studied the plan . “This is really great . I suddenly feel I’m very important . ” This is what she is good at and what she is also very interested in .

Yin Ning looked at Gao Yu Lan and smiled . “Lan Lan, now you’re starting to speak like Yin Ze . ”
“How can it be?” Gao Yu Lan blushed and added . “If we follow through with this plan then this shop will be holding stylish fashion course activities and petite bourgeoisie activities, targeting the same group of customers, so we can also use the magazine to help advertise this shop . The more Yin Ning thought, she became more and more excited and nodded her head with vigor .
Gao Yu Lan added . “The classes need not be arranged too close together . First, we will have classes twice a week, once on weekends and once on weekdays . After the response is better, we can have an additional one or two more classes . As to the staff, we can get some college students to work part-time on an hourly basis to prepare ingredients, washing, and cleaning . Technical knowledge is not required so hiring staff is easier and the expenditure on staff will not be too excessive . ”
“If this doesn’t work out, we can get Yin Ze to transfer some of his workers to us . ” Yin Ning suggested .
Gao Yu Lan nodded . “It is necessary to get help from Food Restaurant but not their general workers but their Chefs . Let the Chefs come to teach, prepare some fine cuisine so that the course contents can be enhanced . ”
Yin Ning clapped her hands . “Then let’s talk to Yin Ze . We don’t have to pay them wages too!”
Gao Yu Lan snickered . “I’ve also thought of that . ”
The two women high-fived and felt very happy with their smart thinking as they could also save a portion of their money which is just great .
Gao Yu Lan again discussed with Yin Ning the details and workflow to determine the courses, to shoot photos of completed products, to prepare the recipes, to order and prepare ingredients, to prepare and print leaflets, determine web designs, arrange for photographers, designers, printers, ingredients, teaching tools, and other expenses . They had to work out renovations that needed to be done in the shop and a rough estimate of all the expenses had been set out . Yin Ning felt very happy and energetic about the whole matter and she started to think about the tutorial needed for the courses .
Gao Yu Lan used the whole day to refine the whole implementation plan and prepared a very detailed proposal plan and a budget report for Yin Ze to go over .

In the end, Yin Ze did not appear the entire day and the two meals were sent over by a waiter from Food Restaurant . Gao Yu Lan was immersed in her work and did not notice until she was at home after work . She had watched TV for a long while but Yin Ze was still not home yet .
Gao Yu Lan thought for a moment . This guy is not angry with her because of last night, is he? She picked up her phone and called him . Yin Ze very quickly picked up the call .
“Where are you?”
“In the shop . ”
“Are you still busy at work?” Gao Yu Lan looked at her watch and noted it was almost 10 o’clock .
“There is still a table of guests who has yet to leave . ”
“Oh . ” Gao Yu Lan’s heart was at ease……he is not angry with her .
“Do you have to wait until the shop closes before you come back?”
“I’m trying out new dishes . ” Yin Ze paused for a while and then added . “Do you want to come for a midnight snack?”
“Okay . ” Gao Yu Lan was very happy to be invited but she was not interested in the midnight snack . She was thinking of him and just wanted to see him . When Yin Ze said, he will come and pick her up, she refused . The place is just down the street and she is not a child . She did not want him to run around nor give him trouble .
Gao Yu Lan changed her clothes and happily went over . Very quickly, she reached Food Restaurant, and just then a group of people came out of the shop . Those people should be the guests that Yin Ze mentioned . She ran upstairs and found everyone in the restaurant busy cleaning up . Yin Ze was the only one there fiddling with the ingredients at the kitchen worktable .
A Chef saw Gao Yu Lan and he whispered to her . “Boss ate gunpowder today . His temper is terrible . Be careful, oh”
“Oh . ” Gao Yu Lan nodded . She was thinking that when Yin Ze spoke to her on the phone just now, he still sounded okay .

Another waiter walked passed her and told her the same thing . “When the Boss is unhappy, he will try out new dishes . Sometimes, he will try throughout the night and won’t go home . Miss Gao, be careful, oh . ”
“Oh . ” Gao Yu Lan again nodded and felt a little anxious . Since Yin Ze had asked her to come, he would not vent his anger on her, right? After thinking about it carefully, although on the phone his voice did not sound angry, he did not seem to be very happy .
She walked over and said to him . “I’m here . ”
He looked up at her and said . “Come and stand nearer . ”
“What is it?” Gao Yu Lan stood nearer .
He looked at her and said again . “Come a little nearer . ”
“Do you need my help?” She moved nearer and in her heart she was wondering what she could do to help as she did not know how to cook .
Just as she reached his side, Yin Ze turned his head and kissed her . She was startled but the kiss quickly ended and he lowered his head to continue cutting the ingredients . Gao Yu Lan blushed and was afraid to look around to see the other people’s reaction and she believed everyone had seen them because everyone soon dispersed as if their workspace was far away .
Gao Yu Lan really wanted to give him a hard slap but when she saw he was using a very sharp knife to cut the fish meat into paper-thin slices, she dared not touch him . She was afraid if she made a move, it would make him cut his hand .
She bit her lip, secretly looked around, and was about to move away when Yin Ze said without even lifting his head . “Don’t go . Just stand here . ” It was as if two eyes had sprouted on both sides of his head and he was watching her every move,
“Why should I stand here?” Gao Yu Lan blushed . They are in public with a crowd of people!
Yin Ze looked up and kissed her on her lips again .
“Stand here to let me kiss you . ”
