There was a common story going around.
A village was attacked by goblins, some of its maidens were kidnapped.
Some rookie adventurer’s first mission was to subjugate the goblins.
Yet, they were forced into a corner by the goblins, with none ever returning alive.
In the goblin’s nest, an adventurer rescued all of the girls out.
The rescued girls would fall into despair from being sullied by the goblins, and enter the temple to serve the gods.
The ones without their party members anymore would be at a loss, never to leave their homes again.
All these, were common events in this world.
The priestess couldn’t understand.
Do these life-shattering events happen all the time?
If they really do, and if she herself were to face such a reality one day, would she still maintain her faith in Earth Mother?
In the end, she only understood two things.
One was that, she was still an adventurer.
The other one was;
Goblin Slayer would really kill all of the goblins.
Yet, that was nothing more than one of the events that often happen anyways……
