Liu Ruoxin smiled, then sat down unceremoniously on the chair, looking at her employee with a complicated expression. As for Yan Tian, he could only bitterly endure alongside the police officer standing up.
"Why would you want to do this?" Liu Ruoxin raised her brows and asked Xiao Liu.
"Chairman…… Chairman Liu, I really didn’t know it was poison." Xiao Liu lowered his head, unwilling to meet Liu Ruoxin in the eyes.
"Hmph, so that's the situation. In front of Chairman Liu, you speak clearly." Captain Cai roared immediately as soon as he heard Xiao Liu, causing Liu Ruoxin on the side to hop in fright.
Xiao Liu was evidently intimidated by Captain Cai's roar. He promptly lowered his head and slowly recounted the truth of the matter.
As it turned out, Xiao Liu really didn't know it was poison. Since his build was rather small, he was frequently bullied by his co-workers. Ordinarily, he went on with his life and continued to bear with it. Nonetheless, he was slowly unable to restrain himself. As a result, he bought some laxatives and put it in the food, so that his other co-workers would all be struck with diarrhea, which would have humiliated them in front of everyone.
Since he wanted to buy banned drugs, he had bought them from the hands of others. However, he hadn't expected that the drugs surprisingly weren't laxatives, but poison. Because Xiao Liu was originally cowardly, after he discovered the event, he hid away, not daring to come out. He immediately tossed the remainder of his drugs, but in the end because this was his first time doing such a thing, there were traces he had left behind that he hadn't cleaned. Thus, he was swiftly apprehended by Captain Cai and interrogated.
"Hmph, who is the person you bought drugs from? Where is he?" Captain Cai questioned severely.
"I…… I don't know. I only know his surname is Liang. I've never even seen his face." Xiao Liu wiped his tears aggrievedly. His intestines burned with regret; he shouldn't have bought those drugs.
"Liang? Did he know what you wanted to do with the drug before hand?" Liu Ruoxin furrowed her brows and asked.
Xiao Liu wiped his tears after mulling it over: "As for what I know, I only told him that I wanted to play a prank on my co-workers. However, I didn't tell him where I worked at all."
"Chairman Liu, you've observed the situation……" Captain Cai looked at Liu Ruoxin after he heard Xiao Liu.
"Liang? Furthermore, he knew in advance of what Xiao Liu wanted to do. Although he didn't know where Xiao Liu worked, this would be quite easy to investigate. Doesn't this prove that this person wants to harm my company?"
While Liu Ruoxin was young in age, since she could serve as the chairman of a company, she naturally wasn't some greenhorn. She could use a bit of her brain to discover there was something amiss in question. The person who gave Xiao Liu poison naturally wouldn't give him a bag of poison so willy nilly, so it could be said that he definitely gave the poison because it would be of use. Furthermore, the poison was to be used on the employees of Liu Ruoxin's company. Thus, there was only a single possibility; someone had wanted to do her company harm.
Liu Ruoxin contemplated this, then hurriedly recollected all of the people surnamed Liang she could think of at once. However, after doing so many more times, she wasn't able to find target that deserved suspicion. Last time someone had rigged her company's new marketed clothing, and this time, they had put poison in her food. Could it be that her youngest uncle or eldest uncle were the ones that had secretly put her at a disadvantage?
"Where did the deal go down?" Captain Cai asked again.
"I told of him of an address when the deal happened. Later on, that guy used a delivery service to pass it on. I don't know who he is." Xiao Liu exerted all of his strength to slap his head and then wailed miserably.
"Alright, Captain Cai. You guys continue the inquiry, okay? I'm going to head back to the company first." Liu Ruoxin took her purse and left after she thought it over. Yan Tian followed suit soon after. As for the employee Xiao Liu, Liu Ruoxin didn't give him much care any longer. Since he had put the poison in, he was going to go through the legal process. Such a man ought to suffer punishment.
Walking in the corridor, Liu Ruoxin's mood was unable settle down for a long time. She couldn't understand. They were all one family, so why was her younger uncle and elder uncle always scheming against her? Currently, Liu Ruoxin was about 80% sure that this was the doing of either her youngest uncle or eldest uncle. They wanted to make her grandfather see that her own abilities were insufficient, thereby leaving the company into their hands.
"Chairman Liu, don't think too much about it. On the path of life, it goes without saying there are many injustices. Once in awhile, it’s normal for life to give you lemons. In the corporate world, it's fighting in the light and plotting in the dark; it's a dog eat dog world. These things can't be avoided. What I want to say is that even if you run into some problems, you shouldn't shrink back. You can't display your weaknesses and incompetencies. If you leave an inch for some people, they'll want a mile. That's what I want to say. When you run into some problems, you should meet them staunchly. If you let them go by the hand, they'll do something."
Yan Tian felt that Liu Ruoxin's mood seemed to be a bit gloomy, so he didn't make any jokes. He was an assassin by trade, so in general, he used his strength to speak. Only true powerhouses wouldn't be bullied by others, but the cowardly would be. This was the truth of the world.
"It's not what your thinking." After Liu Ruoxin heard Yan Tian's words, she shook her a moment later.
Liu Ruoxin said no more while walking in the corridor. Yan Tian shook his head and spoke no further as well. In reality, he wasn't clear on what Liu Ruoxin's company matters were when all was said and done. In any case, it was all a set up done by someone.
"Sis Ruoxin, how is it?" Zhuang Yiyi immediately came over to Liu Ruoxin's side and asked in concern once she saw Liu Ruoxin come out of the interrogation room.
"Yeah, it’s not a problem. I'm going to leave first. If you got time, come over and have some fun, sis!" Seeing Zhuang Yiyi's concerned face, Liu Ruoxin squeezed out a bit of smile.
"Mmm, take care, Sis Ruoxin."
Upon returning to the company, Liu Ruoxin spoke not a word as she headed back to her office. Things were still the same old same old as before at the company. The police force had already broken up the reporters at the entrance. It looked like there were suddenly less people at the company. Yan Tian's hearing capability was pretty good, so as he headed inside the company, he heard many employees discussing the events that had occurred. As soon as Liu Ruoxin approached, each and every one them began to work vigorously with great effort.
"Xiao Wang, start an interim meeting right now." Liu Ruoxin said to Xiao Wang just as she entered her office.
"Okay, Chairman Liu." Secretary Xiao Wang didn't ask much. She knew that for such a major incident that occurred at the company, they should begin a meeting. Otherwise, it would make all of the company employees feel ill at ease, and they wouldn't dare go to the employee cafeteria to eat. During lunch, all of them would just order take out as a group together.
Soon, a group of executives came to the conference room, waiting on Liu Ruoxin. A moment later, Liu Ruoxin, Secretary Xiao Wang, and Yan Tian the bodyguard came in. The group of executives immediately stood up and greeted Liu Ruoxin.
Yan Tian swept his eyes several times over the company executives. After scanning them several times, he discovered the several chiefs who had opposed Liu Ruoxin were all gone already. It seemed like Liu Ruoxin had handled the matter with these people as expected. Overall, she couldn't leave such duplicitous people to continue working in her company, right?
Very quickly, Liu Ruoxin began the company meeting. Yan Tian zoned out on the side once he was listening for quite a while. The only thing discussed was of the events that had occurred today, a plan of action, and so on. A moment later, he became drowsy while listening. If you made Yan Tian go fight, kill, and what not, that was his thing. However, if you let Yan Tian participate in these senseless meetings, he was hard pressed to care.
After the meeting was completed, Liu Ruoxin processed documents in her office for many more hours until she and Yan Tian left work. Today, Liu Ruoxin hadn't actually worked over time, since her mind was currently quite scrambled. She only wanted to go home soon and rest.
As soon as Yan Tian brought Liu Ruoxin back to her villa, he discovered there was a Bentley parked at the entrance. Once she saw the Bentley, Liu Ruoxin sat up immediately. Who could the guest possibly be that had come to her home?
"Young lady come inside. The third master has arrived; he's waiting inside. Auntie Sun opened the door and beamed at Liu Ruoxin.
Yan Tian heard Auntie Sun and was left bewildered. The third master? What the heck?
"Hahaha, Ruoxin come inside. I've been waiting for you here for quite a bit. How have things been as of late?" Liu Qiang stood up from the sofa immediately once he saw Liu Ruoxin had arrived.
"Uncle, why have you come?" Liu Ruoxin clearly hadn't expected that her uncle would've come to her home.
"Geez, look at what you're saying. Uncle's come to see his darling niece, hehe." Liu Qiang appeared to look at Liu Ruoxin quite happily like he hadn't seen her for many years.
