While Ma Yi was frustrated due to his failure to make Wandong out, the drunkard cast a look at him, signalling his craving for help. On seeing that, Ma Yi's heartbeats got exceedingly accelerated.

All the men for sacrifice had undergone rigorous training process in the Qinglong Gang. They were ready to sacrifice their own life anytime. They wouldn't SOS before they ceased to be, as they were fully prepared for that psychologically. Was there anything that was even more threatening than death?

However, Ma Yi was way too busy to dwell on that, as it was highly likely that the drunkard might get carried away by his fear and ended up whistleblowing. Though there had been quite a few speculations about the existence of the men for sacrifice in the Qinglong Gang, there hadn't been any evidence exposed to the public because of the gangsters' prudence. Once it proved right, the Qinglong Gang would encounter a calamity.

"Damn bastard, you should dare to offend Childe Xu. I'm gonna put you to death!" Ma Yi yelled. He dashed at the drunkard without hesitation, arms stretched.

In a blink of an eye, the drunkard, grabbed by Wandong, died with five bloody holes in his crown, debris of his brain splashing out of his skull along with blood. It was just as well that Wandong cut and run in time, otherwise, he would have been soaked by the horrible mixture.

Casting a glimpse at the drunkard whose eyes remained open with grudge unsatisfied, Wandong sneered and said to Ma Yi, "Old dog, you do harbour a murderous heart."

Wandong's remark sent chills down Ma Yi's spine. He felt that Wandong could see him through effortleslly. Such acute observation and composure shouldn't have been seen in a dandy who could only amount to nothing.

Ma Yi struggled to pull himself together and said, "The damn drunkard had a drunk fit and offended Chide Xu. He asked for the kill. Nevertheless, for my part, I did nothing but simply lifted a finger. There is no need for you to extend gratitude."

Wandong's contempt got increasingly conspicuous on hearing that, However, having being around, Ma Yi was able to withstand the humility. He simply turned a blind eye to Wandong's sneer and said, "Heh, on a separate note, I was blown away by Childe Xu's marvellous martial performance just now. Do I stand a chance to…"

Wandong struck in in mid-sentence and asked with a sneer, "Well, are you nosing for my background?"

"No, Childe Xu, please don't get me wrong," Ma Yi explained in a haste, looking embarrassed. As a matter of fact, he did intend to inquire about Wandong's martial competence. As he felt tempted to figure out the reason why a man for sacrifice, who had long left death out of consideration, signalled an SOS. In that case, Wandong's martial capacity must be unusually outstanding. However, Wandong cut in in a straightforward manner, which forced Ma Yi to hold back his inquiry. In the meantime, Ma Yi thought to himself, "Childe Xu is truly a hard nut to crack.  Having offended him today, the Qinglong Gang will expect further troubles to come along."

Wandong kept on sneering and said, "Old dog, I learnt that the QInglong Gang made exertions to cultivate men for sacrifice. I'm pretty sure the loss of him grieved you a lot."

The drunkard's death certainly grieved Ma Yi to a great extent. Everyone was born with a one-off life, which couldn't be sacrificed for the sake of others for no reason. One could easily picture how hard it was for the QInglong Gang to cultivate a man for sacrifice, which not only called for loads of investment to accommodate their families but also needed a thorough brainwash to make them become men for sacrifice of their own accords. Only in that way could they stay loyal to the last minute of their life. The efforts made to persuade them outstripped the capital injection to a high degree.

In fact, there were only a handful of men for sacrifice in the Qinglong Sect. Hence each of them was of great significance to the gang — they just resembled golden countermeasures against crisis. They were the most cherished treasure of the Qinglong Gang. Just now, one of them died a gratuitous death, which nearly broke Ma Yi's heart.

"Heh, Childe Xu, are you kidding with me? Bastards like that had better off being killed across the board. How come I should feel for them?" Ma Yi said with feinted composure. He struggled to fake a detached attitude, although he was terribly devastated. He hadn't felt this way for years.

Wandong pulled a long face and said in a grim tone, "Okay. Lets' stop with the stupid jokes. I feel up to a serious discussion with you. Since the troublemaker has died, I suppose it's time you satisfied my requirement."
