While Wu Gen was on tenterhooks, a stately-sounding voice came out from the store, "Wu Gen, let Childe Xu in."

Wandong raised his eyebrows on hearing that, picturing a person of an air of authority in his head.

Wu Gen was soon put back at ease by the instruction. He retrieved his composure and stretched his hand to Wandong, signalling an invitation. He said, "Childe Xu, please."

Stepping into the store, Wandong looked around and spotted the wounded Ye Mei. Though not heavily wounded, a tinge of strikingly red blood on her lips looked rather worrisome.

Standing beside Ye Mei was a young woman in her thirties. She looked mature and charming, like a tantalizing rose in full blossom. "She must be Ye Mei's sister Ye Ling. Then Han Shiqi does has  a good taste in women," Wandong thought to himself.

It seemed that Ye Ling had never martially trained. Appearing vulnerable, she clung onto Ye Mei, looking horrified and desperate.

On the ground lay three youngsters in their twenties, covered with numberless bloodstains and wounds, just like Yue Zhong. One could tell right away that they were badly wounded across the board.

Seeing Wandong, Ye Mei appeared ambivalent. She looked both surprised and delighted. Her beautiful eyes soon brightened up.

Wandong nodded at her, then he looked over at a white-haired senior sitting in a grand chair. The old man looked rather poised and grim. Wandong could tell his seventh-level spiritual energy was fluctuating in his body — he was undoubtedly a top-rate martial master in Yunzhong City.

"Heh…Childe Xu.  What a temper!" Casting a glimpse at Wandong, the old man said in an aloof tone. Then he looked over at a tea table on the other side. He raised a cup of tea and enjoyed himself in a haughty manner , regardless of Wandong's presence.

"You're paralysed, aren't you?" Wandong asked with no intention to show any decorum, looking rather cool and composed.

On hearing this, the old man almost got choked by his tea. He knitted his eyebrows and asked in a low voice, "Childe Xu, why is that?"

"If not, why didn't you raise and salute to me?" Wandong asked.

The old man put on a smile and said in a cool manner, "It's widely acknowledged that people should pay regards to seniors. There is no such thing as paying regards to juniors.  Given that I'm dozens of years you senior, I'm actually the age of your own grandpa.  Speaking of saluting, it should be the other way round, isn't it?"
