Chapter 51 : Drunk Ren

"Ren, come sit here with us." Malik-san called out to me and motioned me to sit beside him.
"Okay. I've finished cooking so I will join you guys."
I sat on the empty space beside Malik-san so Malik-san was on my left side while Chris-san was on my right side.
"Itadakimasu. Oh, it IS delicious!~ I never drank any alcohol in Alsar before so I wonder whether the alcohol in here tastes different compared to the alcohol in earth." I munched the german potatoes that I cooked, it was really delicious!
Truth was, even back in earth I rarely drink.
I couldn't handle my alcohol well so usually I always opted for chuhai whenever I was invited to drinking party.
"Hmm, well there's all kind of variety of alcohol so it’d be hard to tell. Ren, do you prefer sweet alcohol or the bitter one ?"
"I think I like the sweet one better."
"Then do you want to try this fruit wine? I have apple flavoured fruit wine here."
"Ooh, let me try that one please."
Malik-san took out a bottle of fruit wine from his stash and poured a glass for me which I received gratefully.
"Oh, it's sweet. I like it, it's delicious."
"Good for you, Ren! That fruity one is too sweet for me so I couldn't finish it off."
The fruit wine was sweet and refreshing so I could drink it easily, unlike beer.
Ah but it seemed like this drink had high alcohol content, I needed to be careful so I wouldn't get drunk.
"Ah that's right Ren, about your rank. The paperwork for promoting the rank to B rank can be done in common adventurer guild like the one I work at but to promote someone's rank to A rank, the procedure is a little different. I need to receive permissions from the other country's adventurer guild for it. I always forgot about it! Hahaha!"
"Ah.. I see."
"Yeah so, once every 3 months, the representative from each country's adventurer guild gathered in one place to have a meeting. The discussion about promoting someone to rank A or rank S will be held there. Both rank A and rank S is a special title for an adventurer so we need to gain approval from other country's adventurer." Malik-san continued his explanation.
Eh..
If I wasn't wrong, there was only 10 S rank adventurers and 50 A rank adventurers.
Certainly those people were the top of the cream, their number was less than 1% of the total adventurer in Alsar.
Well, that kind of thing was unrelated to me though.
"I see but why are you telling me this Malik-san? I mean, that kind of thing is unrelated to me, right? I don't understand why I need to know about something like that."
"Listen here Ren, you defeated redondo dragon during your subjugation quest didn't you? You managed to put the redondo dragon to sleep and gave those three the opportunity to actually defeat the dragon. Defeating a redondo dragon is not an easy feat, even for a bunch of A rank adventurer. Hence why I'm sure in the next meeting, they will talk about promoting you to A rank."
"The meeting huh.. It must be hard to gather everyone in the same place like that once every 3 months."
It must be a lot of hassle for each representative to come since they all lived in different country.
"Ah about that, since the representatives is a big shot, they can travel using teleportation device. Using that device, you can travel back and forth in an instant so it's not a hassle at all."
Ooh, how convenient!
If only I could use that device, I could save a lot of time if I wanted to do quest in faraway place like Calhea.
"Let's see.. They will have the next meeting on 1st of August and the place is.. Oh it's in our country, Aspel! What a great timing! You will receive an order to go to the royal capital soon enough, Ren."
"Oh that's nice but they haven't decided on anything yet, right? Until they announce a legal confirmation, we don't know for sure whether my rank will rise again or not."
"Well, you had received your reward just today, right? The headquarter will receive the information of your subjugation tomorrow so I guess they will contact the guild soon enough after they confirmed the result."
Oh so they were going to call Malik-san?
"Ah somehow..I really didn't expect that my rank will rise this much. I still couldn't believe that I'm a B rank now, let alone A rank. But… Umm.. I guess having the same rank as you guys would be better huh."
The three of them were A rank adventurer after all, people might talk about us if our rank was too imbalanced.
I didn't want anyone to badmouth us, especially their relatives. I wanted to leave a good impression and made them accept our relationship.
Although I was honestly surprised my rank could rise up to B, I'd be happy if could rise even more to A rank so I could stand on equal footing with everyone else.
"Hmm~ Not really. An adventurer doesn't always marry another adventurer after all. You don't need to worry about trivial stuff like that~ Though I do think that Ren-chan deserve to become A rank too since your support magic is a top notch!~"
Ah, that was right, I had seen adventurer that married a shopkeeper or other labor worker too.
Though.. Having a B rank adventurer as the leader of three A rank adventurer was a little…bad, right?
Well, B rank was certainly a lot better than F rank though.
"That's right also, the process of becoming A rank adventurer is really annoying too. They will need to interview you and you will also need to prove your abilities to them." Sig-san wrinkled his eyebrows, seemed like he had to go through a lot of meddlesome things to become A rank adventurer.
"Eh? Interview??"
Hmm.. Proving your own worth huh.. Somehow it felt like a promotion exam instead.
"Yes, they will conduct interview and have mock battles to see your abilities but since Ren-kun's forte is in support magic, a mock battle wouldn't be able to let them see your true potential so I think there might be some other way to see your abilities without using mock battles."
"Ah.. That's true.. Going on a battle on my own is definitely impossible for me."
If I were to have mock battle, they would beat me in seconds easily.
Ah! There was only few foods left on the table!
I needed to cook some more!
"I'm going back to the kitchen for a moment..ah!"
I wanted to stand and walked to the kitchen but I suddenly stumbled on my feet.
Thankfully Malik-san was quick on his reflex he propped my body up, preventing me from falling flat on the floor.
"Ren? Are you alright? You're a little unsteady.." Malik-san asked worriedly.
"I'm alright. It's because I stood up abruptly so I tripped a little. I'm going to cook some more, okay?"
Maybe I did drink a little bit too fast but the other four kept on drinking nonchalantly like it was water so I got swept up by their pace.
I wasn't drunk yet but I think I was pretty close to it.
It'd be better if I cook something now before I got too drunk.
Then, I peered into the fridge to look for something to cook.
Hmm.. A pizza seemed nice..
"I think I've put the pizza dough on the bottom rack.. Ah, there it is! Umm.. Next is.. Oh there's some tomato paste. Perfect!"
I rolled the dough into thin circle and spread tomato paste over it.
For the topping, I added slices of smoked ham, onions and cheese.
I put the pizza dough inside the oven,"I think 4-5 minutes should be enough."
While I was waiting for the pizza to be ready, I returned back to the living room to collect the dirty plates.
I used [Clean] and after making sure the plate was spotless, I put the plate back into the cupboard.
"Mmhm~ What a nice smell~ Are you making pizza, Ren-chan?~" Chris-san hummed.
The smell of pizza reverberated around the room, I looked into the oven and it seemed like the pizza was ready.
I took the pizza out, the smell was heavenly indeed.
"Okay, with this I've done cooking for the day. If you guys are still hungry, I will take out the leftover food from my magic bag."
I brought the pizza back into the living room and saw that they almost finished all the food I had made for them.
Even though I had already made a lot of food.. The appetite of Alsar's people was nothing to scoff at indeed…
"H-Hot! Ren, this is super delicious! The combination between tomato and cheese is superb! Wow!"
"Ren-kun's cooking is always exceptionally delicious."
"Not only that my fiance is beautiful and cute, his personality is really gentle and his cooking is so delicious~ Ah~ I'm so lucky to be alivr~"
"S-stop it you guys! You're making me embarrassed!"
The other three kept on praising me, making me even more embarrassed.
Without thinking much, I gulped the drink on my hand.
Almost immediately, I felt hot and light headed when the stinging liquid passed down my throat.
"Ah! Ren! That's my drink! Y-you drank it as it is? That drink is really strong, you know! For you to drink it as it is…" Malik-san looked at me flusteredly. Had I made a mistake?
"Ren-chan, are you feeling alright?~" Chris-san asked.
"Fufu~ I'm allllright~" I replied, couldn't Chris-san see that I was fine?
"It's clear to see that he's not fine!" Sig-san replied in exasperation.
"Ren-kun, please have some water first."
"Don't wannaaaa~"
Fer-san handed me a glass of water but I didn't feel like drinking it so I refused.
"Ren, I think it would be better if you lay down a little. I can take you to your room if you want."
Now, Malik-san was urging me to return to my room.
"I..I told ya.. I'm.. Fiiiiine! MMalik-san.. Doesn't trusttt mee..!"
Uuuh… Why was everyone kept telling me to rest..?
Even though I was feeling suuuper great right now~
"Eh?! Ren-chan?!"
"Chlis-san~" I flopped onto Chris-san who was looking at me worriedly.
But..But..Chris-san didn't hug me back..
"Wh-What?! D-don't cry Ren-chan! Oi, Ren-chan??"
When a drop of tear slipped through my eyes, Chris-san became even more confused.
He tried to stroke my back as more tears poured from my eyes.
"Mmng.. Chris-san.." I snuggled even closer to Chris-san to get more comfortable so now I was practically sitting on top of his lap.
I encircled Chris-san's body and tiiightly hug him while sinking my face between his broad chest.
"Ugh.. This is.. A torture on its own.."
"Damn you Chris.." Sig-san growled
"For goodness sake.. Why Chris.. Well he's the one closest to Ren-kun but still.." Fer-san shook his head disapprovingly.
"Chlis-san.. Smells..Gooood.."
"ah.. Don't say such things when you're this close to me..!"
There was no space between us, not even a millimetre.
Without any space separating us, Chris-san’s scent became even more potent.
He smelled really good!
I glanced upward and my gaze fell on Chris-san's lips.
Looking at his lips made me remember that time when we had been kissing so much that our lips become sore.
Ah, remembering it made me wanted to kiss him again~
"Chlis-san, let's kissy kiss!~"
"Eh?!"
"You.. Don't wanna..?"
But..it seemed like Chris-san didn't want to kiss me. Chris-san..Rejected me..
My eyes grew hot once again, tears ready to spill in any second now.
"Chris…Do you remember what I said to you just a moment ago?"
I was still burying my face into Chris-san chest so I couldn't see Malik-san's expression but his voice sounded really menacing.
"Wh-what?! You're putting the blame on me?!"
Somehow, Chris-san became even more perplexed. I wonder why?
I separated my face from Chris-san's chest and glanced at Malik-san.
His face looked very frightening, like he was wearing no, like he was the devil incarnation himself!
"H-hyaah! Chlisss-san! Malik-san's face look scawyy!"
Feeling fearful or my life, I buried myself into Chris-san's chest once again.
"…Ren..What ..?"
Malik-san looked dejected before he slowly let the tension in his face go and returned back to the gentle Malik-san's that I knew.
Coughing the last tension away from his shoulder, Malik-san asked, "Well then, why are you hugging Chris?"
His voice was really gentle, as if he was cradling a child.
"Noo reasonnn." I replied bluntly.
Reason? Did I need something like that? I hugged Chris-san because I wanted to, there was no other reason. I squeezed Chris-san even tighter to prove my fact.
"Ugh..Ren-chan.."
"Then, if there's no real reason, how about if you hug me instead?" Malik-san asked.
"EH?!" The other three widened their eyes in surprise.
Hmm~ I didn't mind hugging Malik-san but~
"…Nuu.. I don't mind hugging Malik-san buuut~ Riight now, I wanna kissy kiss~ You see?~ Chlis-san, kiss me?~"
When he heard my answer, Malik-san dropped his shoulder dejectedly.
"This is truly a torture~" Chris-san answered but he didn't make any move to kiss me.
Ah, if Chris-san didn't want to kiss me then..
"Malik-san~" I cooed sweetly, shifting my attention to Malik-san
"Wh Ah! Ren! D-don't look at me like that! D-don't come closer!"
Uuuh, why Malik-san wouldn't look at me ? I crawled to Malik-san slowly in hope he would return his gaze at me.
"Oh, right! I, I need to go back to the guild!" Malik-san quickly added.
Oh? The guild? Did Malik-san forgot something at the guild?
"30 minutes. I will be back in 30 minutes. In the meantime, you guys try to put Ren in the bed, okay?"
Malik-san stood up and left the four of us alone.
"Ren-chan.. When he drunk too much he turns into a spoiled child huh?~"
"Yeah, Ren is very adorable when he's acting all cute and spoiled like this.."
"I couldn't agree more."
When Malik-san left us, the ambience suddenly turned all soft and fluttery.
But! Why did you three said something like that..!
"Nng.. Mu…"
I glared at the person closest to me, Chris-san and without any second thought, I slotted myself between his knees and captured his lips swiftly.
"Wh"
Chris-san opened his mouth in a surprised gasp, seeing an opening, I shoved my tongue inside him, deepening our kiss.
I entwined our tongue together, exploring every corner of his mouth when Chris-san finally decided to return my kiss back.
It felt good, Chris-san skillfully sucked on my tongue back, his kiss sending shivers all over my body.
"Looking at how proactive Ren becomes, having him drink sake for once in a while is not a bad idea, right?"
"But I will never allow him to drink without any of us accompanying him. I don't know what I would do if Ren-kun ever kiss someone else while he's in stupor like this."
When I heard what those two were talking, I immediately separated myself from Chris-san and glared at them.
"You knoow! I wanna kissy kiss but! The one and only I wanna kissy kiss is only Chlis-san and Fel-san and also Sig-san! Sake doooesn't hav anything to do with iit!~"
I didn't want to kiss anyone else!
I like Malik-san so, so much but I didn't want to kiss him either.
The only one I want to kiss was my fiance only!
"Dammit, he's so cute.."
"Ah, Ren-kun.. Do you want to kiss me too? Come here, Ren-kun.."
I was delighted to see Fer-san calling out my name like that so of course, I immediately stood up from Chris-san lap and lurched toward Fer-san while smiling back at him sheepishly.
"Oi! That's cheating!" Chris-san whined.
Oh? Did I sway a little? Ah, I must be imagining things~
"Fufu~ Fer-san~ Do you wanna kissy kiss?~"
"Yes, let's kiss."
I let myself fall into Fer-san embrace, basking myself in Fer-san's tender hug.
He caressed my face gently and brought our lips together.
"Ngh.. Ch-..Ah.."
Fer-san's kisses felt so good, either it was a light peck or deep kiss with our tongue dancing together, every bit of Fer-san's kisses felt so, soo good.
Fufu~ I'm so happy~
"Oi oi oi! Ren, did you forget about me??"
"Hm? Sig-san, c'mere~"
Sig-san was kneeling beside us, I wanted to kiss him but I didn't want to get out of Fer-san's embrace so I turned my face toward Sig-san and motioned him to kiss me as it is.
Sig-san leaned his body down, licking and sucking on my lips.
My body shuddered when Sig-san's tongue entered my mouth, his movement was rough and fierce but it felt so good nonetheless.
"Ngh.. Fu-ah.. Mmh.."
It felt so good, each time our mouth met together, my body trembled in response.
Everything felt exceedingly good, with Fer-san close to me and Sig-san's abusing my eager mouth.
Somehow, I felt like I was floating on top of a cloud. I felt so, so happy~
"O-oi?! Ren?! … Are you kidding me? He fell asleep just like that?"
"Can't say I didn't expect this outcome. From now on, we need to ban Ren-chan from drinking alcohol."
"I think that would be the best. No alcohol for Ren-kun, at least not for a while."
I could hear their voices but I didn't take any heed of it.
The last thing I could feel was Fer-san's tender embrace as my mind drifted to sleep.

Malik's POV
"Huh? Master? I thought you were going to drink with Ren-san and the other?"
When I returned back to the guild, Tord who was managing the counter greeted me.
"Yeah, something came up." I replied with a shrug.
Almost, I almost told Tord the truth. That was dangerous..
I went to the second floor and entered my office.
When I was sure no one was around, I muttered to myself,"Ah.. As expected, even though Ren is cute and all but he's still my son. I couldn't picture myself kissing my own son after all. From now on, I will never allow Ren to drink alcohol again."
Good grief, Ren became very spoiled and cute when he was drunk.
I was sure the other three must've came into an agreement to never let Ren drank without their supervision.
Also, I was glad to see how smitten they were with Ren.
"Hmm.. I need to make sure I return back in 30 minutes sharp. They shouldn't be able to do anything much in 30 minutes."
No matter what, I didn't want them to go all the way in my house.
They needed to abstain themselves while they stayed in my house.
Until they had their own house, I would keep a close eye on them.
I did feel bad for them but since I gave them my blessing to marry my cute son, enduring this much of torture should be nothing for them.
"In the meantime, I need to start the preparation for going to the royal capital… There hadn't been any official confirmation yet but I'm sure Ren will be promoted to A rank after they confirmed the result."
Ren would become the fastest adventurer to become promoted to A rank in history.
As his parent, of course I felt very proud of him!
"I still have some time left.. Well, time to do some paperwork then."
I picked up the documents that had been piled up on my desk and started check them one by one.
