9. Flower's Jest The early summer in our final year of middle school, just a bit more until we ascend. After remembering the memories of my past, the knowledge of that manga, I lived my days cautiously. You never know what these ojou-sama’s are hiding on the other side.

“Gokigenyou, Maria-sama”

With black hair reaching to the chest and her long bangs loosely coiled back erotically; Ayakouji Miyabi.

“Gokukenyou, Miyabi-sama”

The Miyabi-sama who’s always gentle and full of smiles… the cue to receiving hatred from the flower princesses was because the heroine got soup on her.

It was more like the surroundings were proactive in harassment that receiving it from the person herself but the Miyabi-sama in the manga didn’t stop it even knowing such things were happening so there’s that too. A person whose thoughts is hard to figure out, better be careful than sorry.

“Gokigenyou!”

Ootto, she appeared! The Cytisus Scoparius You, Katagiri Hidemi!

“Hidemi-sama, gokigenyou”

With half of her chestnut hair tied up, she bullies the heroine together with Maria, a member of the flower’s princesses. Being strong-willed, she is quite troublesome to go up against when angered.

“Are the two of you attending to the flower’s party today?”
“Yes of course. Is Maria-sama?”

Now that I think of it, the flower princesses are gathering together today. I hadn’t remembered until Miyabi-sama brought it up. Although not compulsory, it is a gathering that everyone participates unless they had other errands. To put it simply, it is but a tea party that’s hold in a park named Papillon, those two are probably participating too.

“I’ll be attending as well”

Saying so as I returned a sweet smile was a nod from the appearingly satisfied Miyabi-sama and Hidemi-sama.

“Well then, see you after school”

Bidding farewell to the two, I noticed a toy rabbit in the shadow of the pillar… this is, a puppet.

“Master, it’ll be good to be careful around guys”
“Heh?”
“… there seems to be a strange aura coming from him, this is an advice to all of you”

Saying that, the bunny puppet made its disappearance. That person too, is a flower princess, a bit weird in character, she gave the heroine warnings and advice in the original work. But saying that, she wasn’t a person who had much contact with me, and being careful of a guy exuding a strange aura… I wonder what she meant.

“Ma~ria”

I knew who the person hugging me from behind was without needing to turn back. It’s the girl who has been really attached to me recently…

“Sumire, improper. What are you going to do if other people see you like this?”

Like always, the role of warning her actions; Maeshiro Hitomi is left to feel helpless as she teared Sumire off me.

“Because! No one’s here anyways! Isn’t just a bit fine?”
“Sumire’s too laid back, things like this, limit them to only in tea room”
“Yes, yes”

I feel that we’ve been a lot closer after eating cheap snacks with together. Our names too, we’re no longer using honorifics.

“Maria’s attending the flower party right?”
“That’s my plan, you two?”
“Can eat sweets so attending~ I wonder what they have today”

You really don’t know what ojou-samas may be hiding behind you backs. The Sumire as a flower princess is the perfect, elegant, ojou-sama… definitely far from the portrayal of someone indulging in cheap snacks while laughing “uwahahaha!”

“Be careful with the way you eat, Sumire”
“Hitomi’s just prone to worrying. Sumire’s feigned innocence is a specialty!”

Although not something one should say while boasting, it’s amazing in its own way. No fault had occurred after the case with It is Sour Ninja Arts.

“Which reminds me, have you heard of the rumour about The Dahlia You being engrossed with our male classmates in the middle school section recently?” said Sumire as her face starts to distort.

I’ve only come to know about the fact recently, but Sumire is weak against guys apparently. The reason being; the big difference in the way her older brothers acts at home and outside. Something about having revulsion from the savage actions of the brother’s… but Sumire’s gap is quite big too, if I say so myself.

“The Dahlia You... Shiori-sama is?”
“Aah, it’s becoming a common talk, like how she’s gazing at the school building for the guys while sighing”

Was it? I haven’t heard about it at all. The Dahlia You is like the existence of a leader amongst us flower princesses in the middle school section. A level-headed but kind senpai, if things go like in the manga, she’ll become the president of flower princesses in high school.

Who might she be in love with I wonder? It might be someone from the Tengenji trio. The manga’s constructed around the heroine so there wasn’t any portrayal on this part…

“Aah, what depression. We’ll all be mixed once we get to high school”
“My… Sumire’s going to have a hard time”

I around about knew what Sumire meant. Sumire’s small frame makes people want to protect, the type of weak, yet lovely appearance. She’ll probably be popular, no, more like, likely to get approached by guys. There’s the thing with secret admirers of the cool Hitomi too.

As for me… probably not. It’s this strong-willed looking face we’re talking about, it’s more probable for the guys to fear instead. I more or less have a fiancé too, doubt there’d be anyone who’d come this way.

“Haa! That’s right! I thought of one, how does KashiFure (Sweets Contact) sound?”
“Eetto, what are we talking about?”
“The name for our club!”

Apparently, what we were doing was attending to club activities before I even planned to… and that name, it sounds like the name of some cocktail.

“Ne, Sumire, KashiFure… what is its abbreviation for?”
“Confectionery friends!”

… No, isn’t that a bit off for a club?

“KashiFure for short!”
“Maria, let’s head for our classrooms, we’ll be late”
“Ee”

Exchanging glances with Hitomi, we left Sumire and walked off.

Sumire was on perverse for a short while after that.
