Chapter 1173: Cross the Line
Jun Xiqing got up.
They were never meant for each other, they had different aims and eventually had to return to reality.
Straightening up, she wanted to leave the place. After taking just two steps, she paused. The layout of his room seemed really strange.
She stretched her arm out, carefully touching and studying it.
There was something off with it.
He had a secret room!
Jun Xiqing’s heart thumped. She had been following Uncle Jun since young and was well-versed. She was especially interested in design and had sharp senses, she could tell that there was something fishy about the layout of the room at first glance.

A dark figure appeared, it was Ah Da. “Master, have you obtained West Duke’s fingerprint?”
Jun Xiqing nodded. “I have.”
“Let’s head over to the underground prison now…”
Jun Xiqing lifted her hand. “There’s no need. West Duke has already recognized me since the beginning. My brother is not at the underground prison.”
“Where is he then?”
Jun Xiqing paused for a moment. “Let’s just leave this place first. Where’s Ah Xiao?”
“Sister Qingqing, Brother.” They heard a girly voice, it was Ah Xiao.
“Ah Xiao, who allowed you to come to the West Palace? West Duke is sharp-witted, if he senses even the slightest thing that was amiss, you could give yourself away really easily!” Ah Da berated.
Ah Xiao was blushing, all coy as she held Ah Da’s arm as she tried to gain Ah Da’s favor. “Brother, stop criticizing me, I’m your only family.”
Ah Da’s love for his younger sister was evident.
“Enough, Ah Da and Ah Xiao, let’s leave.”
Jun Xiqing and Ah Da were walking in front while Ah Xiao followed behind. She couldn’t help but turn around to look at the huge West Palace.
Though she appeared innocent, she revealed an eerie smile…
The next morning.
Fan Men arrived in front of the room and knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
Fan Men pushed the door open. “Duke, Jun Chulin’s execution is going to begin soon but there hasn’t been any news at all.”
Lu Yeming took a cold shower in the morning and changed into a white shirt with black trousers. He lowered his eyes, fastening his sleeves with neat movements.
Hearing Fan Men’s words, the corners of his lips kicked up. “Don’t worry, she’ll be here.”
One of the underlings reported from outside, “Duke, someone broke into the underground prison to save Jun Chulin, but we’ve captured them!”
Lu Yeming’s eyes shifted, but his expression remained unchanged. “Let’s go and check it out!”
In the underground prison.
Lu Yeming took Fan Men with him and the captured people hid in a corner. “West Duke, we’re innocent, we really aren’t here for a jailbreak! We’re just here to deliver some food. Someone hired us in the morning to deliver the food and even gave us the fingerprint needed to access the prison.”
Fan Men’s expression changed. “Duke, it’s the Third Miss Jun. We’ve fallen into her trap!”
Lu Yeming remained calm, not even raising a brow. His expression was complicated.
“Duke, the Third Miss Jun is indeed intelligent. It seems like she has already learned that Jun Chulin is not in the underground prison. But where exactly is Jun Chulin? Where did Third Miss Jun even go?”
But Lu Yeming only pursed his lips, his tone impassive as he replied, “Let’s return to the West Palace.”

Everyone had fainted from the gas and Jun Xiqing brought Ah Da with her into Lu Yeming’s master bedroom, entering the secret room.
Ah Da was fascinated. “I can’t believe West Duke’s master bedroom has a secret room built inside, he’s indeed impressive.”
“Head inside.”
Jun Xiqing stepped inside.
There wasn’t only a secret room inside, there was also a secret passageway built.
The passageway was spacious and even well lit.
“Brother.”

In front, along the passageway was two rows of red peas.
Bright green leaves and well-grown red peas, they were just like bloomed roses. She hadn’t expected to see such red peas being planted here in a secret passageway.
Moving forward, Jun Xiqing stretched her arm out to touch the red pea.
