Chapter 1105: I Only Love My Wife
Gu Mohan looked beside him. It was Feng Lingxue.
The car was silent and Gu Mohan’s face was hidden in the dim lighting. He gave a wan smile and said, “Miss Feng, the North Duke sent you and Feng Lihen here this time. Feng Lihen is planning to marry the biological sister of the West Duke, Lu Yeming, who happens to Tang Mo’er, my wife.
“You on the other hand, are going to become the new Mrs Gu after my divorce. Old Master Feng is indeed experienced and manipulative. He has everything planned out, from the profit motivated marriage with the West Duke to making use of my wealth and resources. Am I right about that?”
Feng Lingxue nodded. “You’re right.”
“How are you going to make me trust you then? How am I supposed to believe that you’re going to betray your father and elder brother and stand on my side?”
Feng Lingxue looked at Gu Mohan, his gaze was sharp and piercing, just like an x-ray that could pass through her. In response, Feng Lingxue didn’t have much of an expression, she looked at him with composure. “President Gu, do you know my identity?”
Gu Mohan raised his brows. “You’re the illegitimate daughter of the Feng family. You were sold to Ah Jiao’s Room since young, the place built to seduce men. You were self-motivated, becoming the top social escort at the age of 12, mesmerizing tons of influential men with your seductive charms. They were all willing to splurge on you so willingly.”
“Have I managed to mesmerize President Gu yet?” Feng Lingxue asked.
Gu Mohan forced out a laugh. “I’m sorry, the only person I will love in this lifetime is my wife.”
“Look, I haven’t managed to seduce you and make you fall for me yet, it’s destined that I can’t accomplish my mission,” Feng Lihen looked out of the window as she said, “I’m not as lucky as Mrs Gu. Although the North Duke is my father, he used to indulge in debauchery and had many illegitimate sons and daughters outside. Feng Lihen and I are just one of the many.
“My biological mother was sent into the army base to become a prostitute after giving birth to me, under the orders of my father’s legitimate wife. She didn’t live long, dying just after a short time. I was sent to Ah Jiao’s room since I was young and had to learn how to pleasure men. I don’t have a father. Feng Lihen is not my biological brother either.”
Feng Lingxue’s cold gaze suddenly turned astute. “I had to do everything I could to survive since I was young, I had to think of all ways to live a better life. Look, I failed to seduce you and in the North Duke’s eyes, I’m just a useless pawn. I don’t even know when and how he’s going to get rid of me. I don’t like the feeling of being vulnerable, it sucks to have to worry about just living. I want to stop being passive, I have to be assertive. I believe that I won’t lose if I join forces with you.”
The corners of Gu Mohan’s lips kicked up slightly. He knew that this woman had a strong will to live since the very first time he met her.
“Are you confident that you can obtain the antidote?”
“Don’t worry. As long as you divorce Mrs Gu and my brother takes her back to Country A, I will be recalled too. I will be able to gain access to the palace and I have my ways to obtain the antidote.”
Gu Mohan nodded.
“President Gu, when are you getting a divorce?”
Gu Mohan’s eyes became difficult to read. After a while, he answered, “Tomorrow.”
The next morning.
Tang Mo’er slowly opened her eyes. She looked at the chandelier above her before she reacted, she was in a room in the Gu’s villa.
She couldn’t recall anything that happened yesterday.
Knock knock. The maid was outside the room. “Madam, we have a guest.”
Who was here so early in the morning?
“Alright, I’ll come out soon.”
Tang Mo’er quickly got off the bed, entering the bathroom to wash up before she changed her clothes and went outside.
An imposing figure stood in the living room, it felt so familiar. Tang Mo’er’s eyes lit up, joy written all over her face.
“Yeming, why are you here?”
It was her younger brother, Lu Yeming. They hadn’t seen each other ever since their parents passed away, it had almost been one year already.
Lu Yeming turned around, looking at Tang Mo’er who was walking down the stairs.
Time passed so quickly. Tang Chenyi had such a grand transformation, becoming the West Duke, Lu Yeming. His facial features were defined and perfectly chiseled, he was good looking from any angle.
Straight brows, almond-shaped eyes, the power rivalry over the years had built onto his strong aura that belonged to only those in the high society.
“Sister,” Lu Yeming greeted her.
He would only appear less cold and fierce in front of his sister’s presence. Tang Mo’er ran over, hugging Lu Yeming.
Her young brother had grown so tall, he was already 1.87m. With his powerful aura, it was as though she was his younger sister and he was the elder brother instead.
Lu Yeming stretched his hands out to hug Tang Mo’er, ruffling her hair. “Has Gu Mohan bullied you?”
Tang Mo’er’s eyes reddened, she instantly shook her head. “No, don’t spout nonsense.”
Lu Yeming’s gaze darkened. “There are many other men on earth. If Gu Mohan doesn’t treat you well, you can just kick him away. I’ll make enough money to be responsible for you for the rest of your life.”
She hadn’t expected her stolid younger brother to say such heartwarming words at all.
Tang Mo’er felt so touched inside. She quickly pushed Lu Yeming away with a laugh. “You should be making money for your wife instead. That’s right, Yeming, have you met any girl that you fancy yet? Although our parents are no longer here, you still have me. I’ll help you pursue your wife.”
Lu Yeming remained composed, he turned his body. “Sister, let me introduce you to a friend of mine. This is the son of the South Duke, Xuan Ying.”
It was only then that Tang Mo’er realized there was someone standing behind Lu Yeming. She lifted her eyes to look and her pupils contracted.
Xuan Ying had a silver mask over half of his face, only revealing the left side, but he was good-looking nonetheless. Women were going to scream in excitement once they saw him.
There was intense power rivalry in Country A. The daughter of the East Duke, Ye Ruge, the son of the South Duke, Xuan Ying, the West Duke, Lu Yeming and the son of the North Duke, Feng Lihen. They were all capable people who had a strong foothold.
Boom! The doors opened and a gust of cold wind rushed in. Tang Mo’er lifted her eyes to look, an imposing figure walked in. It was Gu Mohan.
Gu Mohan had come back.
But he was followed by someone else beside him. It was Feng Lingxue.
Tang Mo’er was taken aback, he had brought this woman back home?
Lu Yeming glanced at Feng Lingxue before he looked at Gu Mohan. He wanted to go in front.
But someone stopped him, Tang Mo’er shook her head before she turned around to head upstairs. “Gu Mohan, come upstairs with me. We need to talk.”
They had to settle it eventually. There were too many people in the living room, she went inside the study room to wait for Gu Mohan.
Gu Mohan glanced at Lu Yeming, then he went upstairs.
Feng Lingxue stood on the spot, her cold, seductive glance first landing on Lu Yeming before looking at Xuan Ying.
