Chapter 1002: The New General Is Taking Over!
She hadn’t succeeded. A large hand suddenly appeared, grasping Qianqian’s wrist.
Qianqian’s wrist hadn’t fractured just now, but with the sudden appearance of that large hand, cluck! Her wrist had been fractured and she felt an immense pain.
“Ah!” She screamed loudly.
That someone just flung her away.
Qianqian was just like a kite with a broken string, she fell backwards. Though an officer had rushed over to try to support her, with the amount of force that someone had, both of them just fell onto the ground.
Dong! Qianqian’s forehead hit the wall and it hurt so much, she started feeling dizzy, like the world was spinning around.
It was complete pandemonium.
Qianqian lifted her eyes to look, an imposing figure appeared before her. Lu Yan had come.
Lu Yan stood tall before her, his eyes scanning around, first looking at her with an eagle-like gaze before averting on the officers. His entire existence itself spelled danger.
He stretched his legs out, walking in front of An’an to help her up. “I’ve only left for a while and you’re already being bullied by other people?”
An’an looked at Lu Yan, her icy aura instantly dissipating as her gaze turned tender.
Anywhere with him would be safe.
“You, who are you? How brazen you are, how dare you wreak havoc here!” The Police Chief tidied up his appearance, adjusting his hat. His legs almost went weak as he was filled with fear inside.
The man was fierce and had a menacing aura, just one strike and he managed to cause mass destruction. Judging by his brawny figure, one look and anyone could tell that he was good at fighting.
In an instant, Qianqian hid her away all of the pain she was suffering and stood up. “Blood Eagle, my father has been poisoned and is still lying unconscious in the hospital. The prime suspect is An’an. Speaking of which, you were present last night too. That being said, you’re also one of the suspects, it’s very possible that you conspired with Gu An’an to poison my father!”
An’an’s heart palpitated, she quickly retracted her hand from Lu Yan’s palm. “No, he wasn’t present last night.”
Qianqian sneered. “Is that really the case? Blood Eagle is your boyfriend, he has a motive.”
The entire incident of the General’s poisoning was too suspicious, they definitely needed time to investigate the truth. An’an didn’t wish for Lu Yan to be dragged into the case.
An’an instantly straightened her back, turning around to look at Lu Yan. “Ah Yan, go back first.”
Lu Yan furrowed his brows, the lighting was dark in the room, hiding his brown eyes away.
He didn’t move at all.
An’an balled her hands into two fists by her sides. She knew that Qianqian was still glaring at her from behind. Lu Yan was being such a fool, why couldn’t he comprehend her intention? He should go back first and they take more time to think it through.
Being the daughter of the Gu family, with her brother around, no one would dare do anything to her. On the contrary, he didn’t have anyone to protect him. The General’s poisoning was a huge matter, if he were to be dragged into it, it would taint his future.
An’an batted her lashes, signaling Lu Yan.
Lu Yan looked at her, all color had drained from her face after she had been struck by the electronic baton but her eyes remained glassy.
He pursed his lips, not saying a word.
Did he finally understand her intentions?
An’an was so worried, just like a cat on a hot tin roof. This fool, she was just putting up an act with him in front of Qianqian.
But what could she do if he wasn’t going to cooperate?
An’an sneered. “Ah Yan, are you capable of letting me out of this place? Look, you can’t. You’re just a nobody, no power, no status. You can’t even protect me, you’re giving me even more trouble by staying here. Just go back now, my brother is coming to pick me up soon.”
Right after she said that, Lu Yan looked at her with a somber expression, his menacing aura turning even stronger.
An’an couldn’t tell whether he was angry or not, but he was really weird today. No one could tell what was on his mind. With his intelligence, he should be able to tell that she was saying that on purpose right?
“Ah Yan, just leave. I guess we shouldn’t meet during this time. If you don’t leave, I’m going… to…”
“You’re going to what?” Lu Yan asked piercingly.
An’an instantly wanted to take back all of her words, she could see him looking at her threateningly. Qianqian was satisfied witnessing the scene. It seemed like An’an wasn’t dumb at all.
After she gets rid of this An’an, Blood Eagle would belong to her.
The doors to the police station opened, someone had come.
An’an lifted her eyes to see, the cold wind from outside gushed in. The first thing she saw was an imposing figure. Gu Mohan had arrived. He wore a custom-made shirt with a tie on. It was the classic attire of a successful businessman.
He had a black coat on, his glistening leather shoes stepping on the ground while the wind billowed his coat out. His entire countenance was cool, just like a model on the international runway.
Gu Mohan had rushed over from a meeting, two lawyers followed behind him.
“Brother.”
Gu Mohan paused in front of An’an, ruffling her hair. “Are you okay?”
An’an shook her head.
The lawyer walked in front of the Police Chief and smiled politely. “Hello, we’re taking Mis Gu back now. She’s going on bail and the trial resumes later.”
Qianqian instantly objected. “No, Gu An’an harmed my father. My father is–”
The other lawyer handed a document to Qianqian. “I’m sorry, you do not have the right to dictate anything here. This has been approved with a public seal.”
Qianqian’s face blanched. She looked at Gu Mohan, who exactly was he? How could he even get this public seal?
Gu Mohan looked at Qianqian impassively with the tail of his eyes. He picked up An’an’s hand. “Let’s go, come back home with Brother.”
Like that, Gu Mohan took An’an away with him.
Outside.
A Rolls-Royce parked outside, and Yan Dong opened the back door to the passenger seat. An’an didn’t get in the car immediately, she glanced at the building. Lu Yan was still inside.
A tall figure appeared before her, Lu Yan had come out.
Lu Yan had both hands in his pockets, standing on the steps, seemingly giving her a condescending look.
“Ah–” An’an wanted to call his name.
Two Jeeps suddenly appeared and the General’s confidential secretary alighted from the Jeep.
The confidential secretary was followed by five soldiers in their uniform. Their shoulders were embellished with gold stars, signifying their high rank.
These were the high ranking army officers, what were they doing here?
An’an’s heart palpitated, seeing the confidential secretary bring the five officers in front of the steps as they stood upright, saluting Lu Yan.
A magnetic voice was heard. “General Chen Jin has retired after suffering from food poisoning this time. I’ve heard news about the application being approved, the new General is taking over.”
What did he mean?
An’an looked at Gu Mohan with the corners of her eyes in a daze.
