He pushed away the miscellaneous thoughts as he recalled what happened earlier .
Although he and King Ping were struggling, the Omniscient Mirror had recorded everything into his memory . Since he recalled what happened earlier, he was able to witness what happened to the four hidden masters . Furthermore, he was able to see the fight between the Eight Great Protectors and their enemies .
The Eight Great Protectors were top-notch masters from the military . While their cultivation levels were very high, they were still no match for the hidden masters from the Holy Church of Light . After all, someone who had trained for forty to fifty years was not strong enough to face someone who had trained for a hundred years .
One’s skills would change if one had trained for a hundred years . They would become more powerful and he had experienced this before .
Chu Li had a variety of divine powers and he was able to defend himself against a master who had trained for a hundred years . He could have pulled King Ping and retreated and did not have to face this trouble if he were to expose the Limb of God in front of everyone else .
There were many items that could counter divine powers in this world . He would not be able to use it as a trump card if the enemies had anticipated it . Hence, Chu Li had been using the Life and Death Scripture as insurance and if possible, he would avoid using the Limb of God as much as he could .
These hidden masters did not just have an incredibly high cultivation level, their swordsmanship was off the charts as well . They were incredibly delicate and had very few flaws . One could tell just how powerful their swordsmanship was since they were able to block his Light Blade .
However, that figure was the one that he was most concerned with .

Since Chu Li’s spiritual force was incredibly strong, he was able to stay awake as usual . However, it was clear that the hidden masters were not able to go against such strong oppression .
The overwhelming oppression forced the opponent to have a delayed reaction, decision making and generating inner energy . All they could do was to watch themselves being attacked without having the energy to evade at all . It was incredibly frightening .
Chu Li admitted that he was no match for this guy . The Limb of God would be useless against him . He would still be no match against him even if he was slightly stronger than those twelve hidden masters . All he could do was to watch himself being attacked and spread apart .
He was unsure if the Life and Death Scripture could resurrect him but it was most likely not possible . He was certain that he would be dead for good . It seemed that this Enlightened Master was someone that must not be messed with!
He sighed as he shook his head .
The next morning, Chu Li sat down as he healed his injury .
His current body was both the Divine Light Body and the Body of Heavenly Demon . The attainment level for his Earth Matrix and Reincarnation Scripture was still low and he had yet to be able to learn the Earth Matrix Buddha’s Body . However, he was already incredibly strong . In just a night, the injury that had pierced through his chest was already covered in a thin layer of membrane as his muscles started growing .
“Chu Li, you’ve received an imperial edict!” A loud scream rivaled to the bronze bell sounded from King An’s Imperial Residence .
Chu Li frowned . It was bound to happen!
He guessed that the Emperor would not kill him to keep his mouth shut because he had already seen King Ping . It was too late for that . However, he knew that what he did was right and he would be at most punished .
He did not expect the Emperor to send him an imperial edict .
“Chu Li, accept the imperial edict!” A powerful voice sounded once again .
Chu Li immediately replied, “Chu Li has accepted the imperial edict!”
He glided out of the little courtyard and arrived at the entrance .
King An’s Imperial Residence’s pitch black door was already open as the brass nail shone brightly .
There were two middle-aged men in black formal attire standing at the staircase of the entrance . Each of them had a golden scroll in their hands, the imperial edict . Their gaze was calm and stern as they guarded the entrance quietly .
Chu Li strode to the entrance . He fist saluted and greeted them as he reached the staircase . “Chu Li is here upon the imperial edict!”

Hasty footsteps could be heard from the back just as he finished talking .
Xiao Shi was in a moon-white robe, which had a golden chrysanthemum embroidered on the cuff . The entire outfit looked elegant and luxurious .
Her beautiful face was covered by a white veil and her watery eyes which resembled a deep pond were revealed . She was able to attract every soul by just giving a slight glance .
She was accompanied by Yang Xu, Menglan and the other maids . She was incredibly weak and could be swept away by the wind as she walked outside .
Liu Xing and eight other Protectors were on high alert around her as they looked around cautiously . It was as if they were ready to pounce at any given moment . The Imperial Residence’s guards became wary along with Liu Xing and the rest .
“What’s wrong?” She walked towards Chu Li .

The Imperial House’s Protectors in black formal attire walked forward as he opened the imperial edict . “King An’s Imperial Residence Chief, Secret Guardians Hall’s centurion, Rank-One Scribe Chu Li . You’ve deceived your superiors and disappointed the Emperor . You’re hereby to leave the city in five days and report to Imperial Mausoleum within ten days as the Imperial Mausoleum’s guard . ”
These words were announced via his inner energy . His voice reverberated throughout the sky like a bronze bell . It was not just audible within King An’s Imperial Residence, anyone within a few square miles could hear him clearly, so much so that half of the Fairy’s Capital could hear him .
Chu Li smiled wryly as he reached out his hand . “Well received!”
Xiao Shi’s gaze turned cold as she looked at the two Imperial House’s Protectors .
The two fist saluted awkwardly . “Consort, we’re only following orders . This is an order from the Emperor and His Highness wanted us to inform the entire city . ”
“Hmpf, His Highness sure made it interesting!” Xiao Shi harrumphed . “It’s just a punishment order and he’s afraid that no one knows about it . ”
The two fist saluted and left hurriedly . They did not even ask for any compensation .

Chu Li looked at the imperial edict as he laughed while he shook his head .
The Emperor had spared him by punishing him which was to guard the Imperial Mausoleum . His outcome was the same as Xu Huande . Now, the two could accompany each other . Since Xu Huande was no longer a threat, he would ultimately be sent back to Secret Guardians Hall .
The outcome was for the best . As soon as the imperial edict was given, it was the same as the Emperor announced that His Highness would not seek trouble with him . However, High Highness had no more plans to use him at all as well . All he needed to do was to move to the sideline obediently and stay away from the Fairy’s Capital .
Xiao Shi turned her head around . “Chu Li, what’s the matter? Why did this pop up out of the blue? How did you offend the Emperor?”
Chu Li replied, “I’ll explain everything inside . ”
Xiao Shi glanced at the people around her as she waved her elegant hand before she entered Tianshu Courtyard with Chu Li .
Xiao Shi was at Tianshu Courtyard almost every night . She would not come here during the daytime as she would be training at the house beside the King’s Imperial Residence .
Xiao Shi ordered everyone to leave as she wanted to speak to Chu Li alone .
“Is it because you’ve told King Ping that stuff?” Xiao Shi frowned as she asked . Her beautiful, shining eyes were staring at him the entire time . “That can’t be right . King Ping wouldn’t tell him anything and it shouldn’t be this fast either if he did . ”
She did not know that Chu Li was injured last night . After all, Chu Li went back to his little courtyard immediately that night and no one could tell that he had been injured .
Chu Li then told her what happened that night .
Xiao Shi was furious . “His Highness is cruel . You’ve saved King Ping . No matter how you look at it, he should be rewarding you instead of ordering you to guard the Imperial Mausoleum . He should forget about the past . How infuriating!”
Chu Li said, “I’ve got the Limb of God . It doesn’t matter if I go to the Imperial Mausoleum . ”
“That’s true . ” Xiao Shi nodded softly .

All you need to do is to train your martial arts peacefully . ”
Chu Li laughed . “It’s indeed unfortunate to give up just like that . ”
“You’re a workaholic!” Xiao Shi scoffed . “Alright, go be the Imperial Mausoleum’s guard . Go there and relax for a while . Who knows, they might send you back in a very short time . ”
“I don’t think it’ll be any time soon . ” Chu Li shook his head . “He believes that I’m dishonest and won’t utilize me because of this . I’ll have to be wary inside the residence in case I’m being set up by someone!”

“When do you plan to move?”
