Chapter 3.1: 3.1
The hatred emanating from Qing Yun Xi made Lin Jiu curious about him .
She carefully observed the seriously injured that was lying on the cold jade bed . He was the first apprentice that Wei Liang brought to the sect . Master and apprentice looked alike, with their pair of cold eyes and thin lips .
At Lin Jiu‘s constant stare, Qing Yun Xi’s pale face turned red from the anger inside of him and the veins in his sluggish eyes began to strain . Lin Jiu realized that the black lotus in her mind started moving again . That lonely petal bloomed by about sixty percent now .
The corner of her lips raised . She leaned forward and reached out her fair and tender hand, lightly covering the back of Qin Yun Xi’s hand that rested beside him .
Cold, so cold .
Before the others could even react, Lin Jiu’s brows lifted and she smiled like a loving mother . “Don’t you worry, child,” she said, like a mother soothing her infant . “Your master and I will not let anything happen to you! He will always be your master . As your master’s wife, I will also treat you like my own child! Rest peacefully and I will come and visit you every day . ”
Qin Yun Xi’s eyeballs bulged and he almost passed out again .
That one petal on the black lotus fully bloomed inside Lin Jiu . With the bloom of the outermost petal, a strong surge of warmth poured from her mind, from the Baihui acupoint to conception, then the governor vessels and finally into the lower elixir field . The tangled and intermittent auras in her veins cleared up instantly . She felt cool and light from head to toe, it was like her body had been electrified and gone numb . Her first tightened and she immediately felt an extraordinary surge of power forming within her palm . She felt like she could push over a calf with just one hand .
This time, Lin Jiu would honestly treat Qin Yun Xi like her own son . The kind that will make money for her!
The kind smile on her face widened .
“You!” Liu Qing Yin cried . Her pretty face was bright red out of anger . “You!”
Lin Jiu tilted her head . “Hmm? What? Did I say something wrong?” she said innocently .
Was it possible that the female protagonist wanted to be her daughter so that she’ll be able to have both a son and a daughter? Lin Jiu looked at Liu Qing Yin in anticipation .

“Hm . ” Wei Liang hummed shortly in reply and gripped Lin Jiu’s wrist . He brought her out from Qing Yun Xi’s heavenly palace .
Wei Liang looked like a fairy beneath the moonlight, with his handsome face, upright posture and bright red wedding robe . He strode along, dragging Lin Jiu down the road with him . From behind they looked somewhat like an immortal couple, the man a tall figure and the woman feminine and petite .
Meanwhile, inside the heavenly palace, the corners of the second eldest apprentice’s lips twitched . “Apprentice, you don’t think that master will really fall for the woman’s charms, right?” he said . “Didn’t the Master unwillingly take her as his wife?”
Liu Qing Yin bit her cherry lips . “How would I know about that?” she said in the low voice .
