Chapter 132 – Unreasonable (1)
Su Lingsheng stared at Gong Zhengyu in disbelief. Even the calm and placid Lei Min besides her showed signs of astonishment.
None of them would have ever thought that the Young Master of the merchant group would actually appear here.
The merchant group was a special existence. Despite Su Lingsheng going over bearing the Eldest Princess' name, she had never been able to meet one of the leaders of the merchant group face to face. Never in her wildest dreams would she have ever thought that not only would Ji Fengyan be able to see him in person, she even managed to get him to come over to her house!
At this moment, Su Lingsheng's face instantly paled. The gaze that she used to look at Gong Zhengyu was as if she wished he had never appeared.
Lei Min's face also soured. An ominous feeling abruptly surfaced in his heart.
"Young Lady Su, I was also there that day when the Dual-Stemmed Timeless Affection was traded over, but due to the condition of my body, I was not able to come out and greet everybody at that time. However, I was completely aware about what had occurred between the two of you,." Gong Zhengyu said with a warm smile, his slightly narrowed eyes seeming soft and gentle. Unfortunately, every word that he said caused bolts of terror to course through Su Lingsheng and Lei Min's bodies.
"If I remember correctly, it was true that at that time Young Lady Su had been planning to trade with us for the Dual-Stemmed Timeless Affection, but… the ores that Young Lady Su had brought did not meet the standard required, therefore the trade was unsuccessful. Instead, it was Fengyan who had brought enough ores to exchange for the Dual-Stemmed Timeless Affection, and… after our exchange, did Young Lady Su not request for a stem in front of the public? Tell me, Young Lady Su, are there… any errors in my memory?" Gong Zhengyu asked, smiling even more warmly.
However, it was Gong Zhengyu's gentle voice that caused Su Lingsheng to feel as if she had dropped into a frozen cellar. Unable to refrain from trembling, she had completely lost all colour in her face at that point and unconsciously turned to look at the silent Zhan Fei with a frightened and anxious gaze.
Zhan Fei frowned, his countenance that of displeasure.
Su Lingsheng's legs were just about ready to collapse.
If the Eldest Princess were to get wind of the fact that not only did she not finish her task, and instead told her such grand and ridiculous lies…
Su Lingsheng really wanted to cry. Truly and actually cry. She used an almost pleading gaze to look at Lei Min, begging him to find a way to turn things around.

Right now at this moment, Lei Min also had nothing left up his sleeves.
If it had been anybody else who had come forward as a witness, then they could have found any number of excuses to refute, but… The one who came forward this time and acted as a witness for Ji Fengyan was just so coincidentally the one and only person that they couldn't discredit!
The young master of the mysterious merchant group, Gong Zhengyu. Even for somebody on the level of the Eldest Princess, she still instructed them to absolutely not be discourteous to anybody in the merchant group.
No matter how ignorant Lei Min might be, he still understood that it was likely that Gong Zhengyu's status wasn't so simple.

"Why are the two of you not speaking anymore?" Gong Zhengyu asked with a chuckle, his warm eyes sweeping over Su Lingsheng and Lei Min's pale faces.
Su Lingsheng clenched her teeth, but didn't dare to utter another word. She had planned for everything, yet Gong Zhengyu's appearance here was the only thing that she didn't plan for.
Zhan Fei's face turned more and more ugly, scaring Su Lingsheng so much that she trembled in fright. She couldn't worry about responding to Gong Zhengyu anymore, and instead looked on nervously at a frowning Zhan Fei. "Lord Zhan, this…"
"You don't need to say anything else." Zhan Fei barked darkly, his tone already starting to fray.
Su Lingsheng's heart skipped a beat as sweat started to pour down from her forehead.
Lei Min also secretly clenched his fists.
Zhan Fei swept a glance over the sweating Su Lingsheng before coldly saying, "I don't care about how the Dual-Stemmed Timeless Affection came about. The Eldest Princess only gave me one task and it is the only task!"

Zhan Fei's words stunned Su Lingsheng for a bit.
Before she could understand what had happened, Zhan Fei had already stepped forward to gaze down at Ji Fengyan with impatience, "Hand over the timeless affection flower!"
Ji Fengyan's eyes narrowed as a chilly gleam flashed across them.
Gong Zhengyu's smiling face cracked, "This Lord Zhan, did you not understand my words from just a moment ago? The Dual-Stemmed Timeless Affection belongs to Fengyan."
Zhan Fei coldly snorted, "So what? Does she dare not hand over the object that the Eldest Princess desires? I couldn't care less about the nonsense that all of you are spouting. Today, I will absolutely bring the timeless affection flower back with me! As for you, you don't need to say anything else to me. If she doesn't hand it over, then I'll tear this entire residence apart myself to go and get it!"
The overbearing warning that Zhan Fei gave stunned everybody present.
Of course, the happiest were none other then Su Lingsheng and Lei Min.
Originally, they had thought that after their lies had been exposed that they would be reprimanded by Zhan Fei, but never in their wildest dreams had they ever thought that not only did Zhan Fei not care about how the timeless affection flower came about, he just simply ascertained that Ji Fengyan must absolutely hand it over!
With this… the immense pressure weighing down on their hearts finally lifted.
After Su Lingsheng had recovered from her terror of a moment ago, she once again put on her arrogant face and moved to stand besides Zhan Fei to speak in a condescending tone. "It seems that I was confused. Ji Fengyan, did you not understand Lord Zhan's words? Hand over the timeless affection flower right this instant! As for you off to the side, there no need for you to keep wasting your breath."
Gong Zhengyu's brows slightly scrunched up. It was obvious that he hadn't thought that Zhan Fei would be so recalcitrant about what was right and wrong. He wanted to say something else, but was abruptly cut off by Ji Fengyan.
"Zhengyu, thank you, but I'll handle this myself."
Turning around in astonishment, Gong Zhengyu found that to his shock, Ji Fengyan was smiling coldly.
At this moment, Ji Fengyan was completely different from her mischievousness and laziness from before. Despite the fact that her eyes were still full of smiles, they managed to cause Gong Zhengyu to feel an invisible pressure!
"You… be careful." Gong Zhengyu cautioned, abrupt changing what he wanted to say at first.
Ji Fengyan lightly chuckled. Tilting her head, she held her chin with one hand before turning to look at the unreasonable and overbearing Zhan Fei.
"It's impossible for me to give you the timeless affection flower. As for tearing apart my residence? If you've got the capabilities, then just try and tear it apart!"
Ji Fengyan's narrowed eyes clashed against Zhan Fei's domineering ones. In but just an instant, the atmosphere inside the main hall immediately became rife with tension.
Su Lingsheng was so excited that her heart seemed as if it was about to leap out of her chest. Seeing Ji Fengyan once again provoking Zhan Fei, she already couldn't wait to see the scene of Zhan Fei cutting off Ji Fengyan's head!
"Little girl, you've sure got guts. Only, it's a pity that the useless trash you've raised basically aren't my opponent. You have to understand that just based on guts alone isn't enough…" Zhan Fei said in disdain, sweeping a glance over the injured Zuo Nuo and the others. The instant that he finished speaking, his body abruptly disappeared as he charged towards Ji Fengyan's direction.
Gong Zhengyu standing off to the side could only feel an immense pressure as Zhan Fei's actions enveloped the entire main hall. He had a terrible feeling. Just as he wanted to act, Zhan Fei's figure had already arrived in front of Ji Fengyan, his raised fist seeming as if it was about to land on Ji Fengyan's hand the next instant!
He jerked in shock. However, Ji Fengyan didn't move an inch as she sat there. Slightly lifting up her eyes, she appeared to smile as she gazed at the closely approaching Zhan Fei.
