Thinking about it, after winning first place in Lecheng, Yu Luocheng figured he’d still have to head to the provincial capital to compete there . There’d be no way for him to help look after his father, then . It was just as well that Yu Yu had come home, so that there’d at least be someone to take care of Dad .

Now that she’d woken him up, she didn’t appear to have any intention of letting him go back to sleep . She was chattering incessantly, with no end in sight .
Yu Luocheng could barely get a word in edgewise .
“Did you stay up last night gaming again?” Yu Yu asked, examining Yu Luocheng’s bleary eyes .
“What’s it to you?” Yu Luocheng muttered .
“Mom’s at the hospital?”
“Yup . Why don’t you go find her? You’re disturbing my sleep . ” He didn’t hide the impatience in his voice .
“How can you be so vile? I’ve finally come home, but you won’t even spare a moment to talk with me!” Yu Yu was really losing her temper now .
She’d been smiling to herself the whole time on the bus, thinking about seeing her family again, including her always sullen brother .
But to receive such ill-treatment from him had left her deeply displeased . At her academy, she was typically treated like the center of the universe .
It had been a year since she last saw Yu Luocheng . She was rarely home, always training at her swimming academy . She studied at a boarding school far from home . This time around she’d come home in a good mood, and had even planned to surprise him with a big hug, but instead she’d found him fast asleep—and as if that wasn’t enough, he actually seemed displeased to see her home . He was the absolute worst!
“Tonight, you’re coming with me to the hospital . ” Yu Yu glared at Yu Luocheng as she said this .

Yu Luocheng had gone back to sleep . Yu Yu picked up a pillow and hurled it at him .
Yu Luocheng slept from the morning until well past four in the afternoon . When he awoke, the smell of freshly cooked rice was coming from the kitchen .
When he got out of bed, the first thing he did was take a shower, and only after that did he brush his teeth .
He had a date with Yang Qianqian to go out on the town tonight . He couldn’t allow himself to look too shabby .
The one good thing about Yu Yu being home was that the girl could cook . Coming out of his long slumber, Yu Luocheng was dying of hunger . He sat down and started eating right away .
When Yu Yu finished cooking and came out to see Yu Luocheng wolfing down all the food, her pretty features twisted into a frown .
“Don’t eat it all,” she admonished him, “I’m planning to bring some for mom and dad at the hospital . ”
“Sure . ” Yu Luocheng nodded, and continued to gorge himself .
When he was finished, he looked at the time, and decided to leave at sundown . Normally, at this hour, he’d either be loafing around at the hospital, or else he’d be training or playing in a tournament match . Yu Luocheng felt he was growing distant from Yang Qianqian .

He genuinely did like her, and he suspected that she liked him too . Since the feeling was mutual, he wanted to make the best of it, and see how far they could go together .
“Where are you off to!” Seeing Yu Luocheng heading out the door, Yu Yu frantically called after him .
“I’ve got a date,” Yu Luocheng replied .
“Come with me to the hospital!” Yu Yu demanded .
“Just go by yourself . It’s not like you don’t know the way . ”
“No way! You say you’ve got a date—I bet you’re just going down to the cyber café to play games with that lot again!”
“It’s none of your business, either way . ”
A pleasant river breeze blew over the bridge, teasing at her hair as it passed .
The white dress she wore was embroidered with pink flower buds, and it did a good job of emphasizing her statuesque figure and feminine grace .
Porcelain-white thighs swayed beneath the knee-length skirt, smooth as finest silk . Pedestrians on the bridge tended to turn back after they’d passed her by—even drivers in passing cars, as though unconcerned about getting into an accident .
Yang Qianqian leaned against the stone railing of the bridge, pouting in a huff over how late Yu Luocheng was .
They’d agreed to meet here, at this time . She’d spent more than two hours carefully doing her make-up today . 1 She’d tried on a dozen different outfits before finally settling on this white dress .
Her hair had taken a while, too . It was a lucky thing that the wind wasn’t too strong here, otherwise it might mess it all up again .
Yang Qianqian looked across the bridge again, just as Yu Luocheng finally appeared . Seeing him, a faint hint of delight arose in her eyes .
However, as he drew closer, her expression changed completely . Walking along beside him was a young lady of breathtaking, radiant beauty .
The casual clothes she wore failed to conceal the lithe, nubile temptations which lay beneath . She had a pretty little face that any man would be captivated by .
Yang Qianqian looked at Yu Luocheng, and then at this sensuous siren by his side .
He’d agreed to accompany her out to town tonight, but now a second woman had appeared… what was the meaning of this!
“You’re talking my ear off . Will you die if you go quiet for a minute?” Yu Luocheng was saying .
“You said you’ve got a date . Heh, maybe it’s that girl in the dress, up ahead?” the girl taunted him .
“Yup, that’s her . ” Yu Luocheng nodded .
The girl rolled her eyes . “Who’d believe you? You’ve got no chance with a girl like her . ”
“I say! And what do you mean by that?” Yu Luocheng lost his temper .
No chance? Was he such a lowly being? He didn’t have earth-shattering good looks, but he still drew a few surreptitious glances from innocent girls at school on occasion . What’s more, his greatest appeal was what he had on the inside!
Bickering with the girl like this, Yu Luocheng had already arrived before Yang Qianqian . Noticing her confusion, he stabbed a finger in the direction of the other girl . “My little sister . She’s back from studying elsewhere, and now she’s following me around like a pest . ”
“Ah . Oh…” Yang Qianqian nodded in acknowledgment . So she was his sister—that was alright .
Yu Yu gaped at Yang Qianqian, then at Yu Luocheng, her mouth hanging open wide enough to stuff a chicken egg in there .
She’d just pointed her out at random, refusing to believe her brother was actually going on a date—certainly not with this dazzling vision of beauty!
“Yu Luocheng, how can your sister be such an adorable little thing?” Yang Qianqian remarked .
“Adorable?” Yu Luocheng turned to examine Yu Yu closely .
