Chapter 4 – Brain Startup

“Could it be because of the sunstroke a few days ago that I fell to the ground and broke my head?” Ji Feng found it hard to believe his own transformation!

The entire morning, Ji Feng was in a state of shock. In order to confirm if he was hallucinating, he took out all of his textbooks and specifically selected the ones that he had yet to learn.

After he finished reading, he immediately closed the book and stopped reading. After a while, he started reciting in his mind.

As a result, he was both shocked and overjoyed. Even if it was the most complicated English word or the inference formula he had never learned, he could still remember them clearly and say every word exactly!

After repeated verification, Ji Feng realized that the previous scene wasn’t an illusion, but the truth!

Ji Feng blankly stared at his textbook as his heart was filled with ecstasy, “I really have a photographic memory!”

Why did such a change occur?

Ji Feng was perplexed. He knew his own abilities. Usually, it took him a few days to recite a lesson, but compared to now, the difference was like heaven and earth.

After thinking for a long time, Ji Feng was still unable to come up with an answer. He could only shake his head and stop thinking about it. However, he was secretly delighted in his heart.

With his photographic memory, this meant that in the following year, he could complete all the lessons he had learnt in the past. He would be able to get into a very good university!

He could even do a lot of things that he wanted to but couldn’t do in the past… His photographic memory was definitely not something that could be used to test for a university!

Thinking of the reason why he was so excited, Ji Feng scratched his head and his face flushed in agitation.

Zhang Lei, who was standing at the side, was puzzled. “Lunatic, why are you so abnormal today?” Is he really crazy? ”

“Die!”

Ji Feng glared at him and jokingly scolded, “Even if you’re crazy, I won’t!”

“To be able to scold others, that means it’s normal. Fortunately, it’s okay!” Zhang Lei let out a long breath, chuckled and said, “To be honest, I was really afraid that you would not be able to take the blow and have some problems in your heart. “Crazy, that snobbish woman, Hu Xue Hui, is not worthy of you crying for her!”

Ji Feng could tell that Zhang Lei’s concern was sincere, and he couldn’t help but feel a surge of emotion. He shook his head and smiled, “Lei Zi, you’re right. That kind of woman is not worthy of me grieving for her. So, I have already forgotten about her! ”

From the moment he saw his mother’s tears in the hospital, Ji Feng had already decided to forget about Hu Xuehui. Even if he occasionally thought about it, it was just an ordinary memory, without any special meaning!

He habitually glanced ahead and saw Hu Xuehui, who was assigned to the first few rows. Thinking of his previous foolishness, he could not help but shake his head with a smile.

Growing up, there would always be a price to pay!

Fortunately, Hu Xuehui’s early proposal to break up also woke Ji Feng up from his stupor. If that wasn’t the case, who knows how long Ji Feng would have been lost in his thoughts, or even missed out on his life.

Looking at the extremely familiar back view, Ji Feng was very calm. However, he made up his mind in his heart, “Don’t bully the poor! Since you like money so much, then I will work hard to earn money until I can’t count the amount of money. However, I did not do it to make you regret it, nor did I do it to make you angry. I did it for my mother. I will make those who used to mock her and despise her regret their actions. “However, all of this has nothing to do with you, Hu Xue Hui …”

Ji Feng took another deep look at Hu Xue Hui’s back before retracting his gaze. From then on, the two of them would be strangers. Even if they brushed past each other, they would never get to know each other again!

Sensing the gaze behind her, Hu Xuehui, who was sitting in the third row, turned around and saw Ji Feng reading a book with a calm expression on his face. Sometimes he would frown and sometimes he would smile as if he was engrossed in something.

She curled her lips in disdain. What was the point of working so hard for a poor bastard like him? Even if he entered university, would he be able to afford it?

The afternoon passed without incident and soon, it was time for school to end. Because it was the first day of school, she didn’t attend the evening class. Ji Fengxian rejected Zhang Lei’s invitation to treat her at the seafood restaurant and prepared to leave the school!

In Ji Feng’s opinion, even a comforting gaze from a friend was sufficient. Even if Zhang Lei could console him a few times, it was already the best gift he could get.

Zhang Lei also knew of Ji Feng’s temper, so he didn’t say anything.

After the two of them parted ways, Ji Feng jogged home. His mother, Xiao Sumei, was busy in the kitchen.

“Mom, I’m back!” Ji Feng shouted.

Xiao Sumei stuck her head out of the kitchen and immediately said with a face full of smiles, “Feng’er, go upstairs first. Mom will cook another dish for you!”

Ji Feng originally wanted to go and help, but seeing that the kitchen was already packed with people, he could only nod his head and say with a smile, “Then I’ll be going!”

The house that Ji Feng and his mother currently lived in was in the old city district of Mang Shi County. The houses here were all privately built houses. Most of them were three or four storeys old without a balcony, just like those simple and crude hostels. The doors were side by side, facing the corridor.

For example, the building that Ji Feng currently lived in was mostly occupied by low-income people. For example, on the second floor, Uncle Zhang collected trash. When Ji Feng was young, his mother, Xiao Susu Mei, picked up trash and sold them to Uncle Zhang.

For example, Auntie Wang on the first floor was like Xiao Sumei, a small peddler.

The landlord had set up a common kitchen and a large washroom in the yard, so when it was time to cook, everyone was crowded together and they were all very familiar with each other.

Other than the landlord, who thought that almost everyone was poor and did the lowest level of jobs in society, everyone else was friendly and sometimes helped each other. It was a different story.

Ji Feng and his son rented a room on the third floor. It was originally a large room, but because Ji Feng had grown up, Xiao Sumei was separated by the landlord. Usually, the rooms outside were the living room, but at night, this was Ji Feng’s bedroom.

Seated on the sofa, Ji Feng hesitated, not knowing if he should tell his mother about the changes that had occurred to him.

After thinking for a while, Ji Feng decided not to tell his mother yet. He would wait until the end of the college entrance examination to give his mother a surprise!

Thinking of his mother’s happy expression, Ji Feng couldn’t help but smile.

“Feng’er, come down and help bring the dishes!” Xiao Sumei’s voice suddenly came over.

Ji Feng immediately opened the door and ran out.

Under Xiao Sumei’s meticulous preparations, the four dishes and a soup were extremely sumptuous at dinner time. Looking at her son wolfing down his food, Xiao Sumei was extremely happy.

Lying on the bed, Ji Feng was not the least bit sleepy. Anyone who suddenly possessed a miraculous ability would definitely not be as calm as he was now.

“With my photographic memory, I will definitely be able to pass the university examination without a problem. However, how long can I maintain this ability? Will it be gone in a few days? ”

Ji Feng’s mind was filled with all sorts of thoughts. It wasn’t until late at night that he finally fell into a deep slumber.

At this moment, a voice that sounded as if it was synthesized sounded out in his mind, “Completely integrated with the host. Intellectual brain # 1, activate!”
