Receiving Marifa's order, Koro and Ran ran as if an arrow was released.

Cockatrice exhaled and spit out terrifying breath while raising a scream.
The surroundings were covered in grey smoke in the blink of an eye. Koro and Ran immediately distanced themselves from the cockatrice in a panic not to get caught in the petrifying breath that was coming close. Due to being intentionally or accidentally wrapped in the petrifying breath, the 『Shadow Bind』 skill got caught in the breath and so the binds disappeared.
「Wawa! It escaped~」
「Lena, I think I earned enough time already.」
The cockatrice tried to fly into the sky to avoid Nina.

It was the complete demon core of the cockatrice. Ran rushed back with the demon core and delivered the demons core to Marifa calmly.
Koro was looking at this figure and groaned regretfully.
「Ran, good job on finding it.」
While being praised by Marifa, as if it was matter of fact, it stood naturally in letting her stroke its jaws, but the tail was standing which could not hide its joy.
「Goshujin-sama, here it is. It is probably the main demon core which inhibits the deepest part of 『Demonic Bird Cage』 desu.」
Marifa was kneeling in front of Yuu while giving the Demon core to Nina and Lena who were behind and expressed their dissatisfaction.

A group of about ten people were running about thirty kilometers southwest from the place where they were at.
