Chapter 51.1 - A jealous heart
The Countess of Chaoxia had been closed in her rooms for two days before she already felt numb.
She sat in the room and her face didn’t show any expressions, but her heart was filled with resentment.
Why did her father, who had normally doted on her and spoilt her, suddenly not agree?
Why couldn’t she marry her brother Ye?
Judt as she was confused and resentful, she didn’t notice a dark figure by her window.
A figure that was carefully passing through the window peeked inside the room, her round eyes were mischievous and sinister.
They moved closer and soon after, a maidservant wearing pink clothes also left.
When she came back, her hands were carrying a tray with a cup of ginseng tea.
She first knocked on the door which was responded with the Countess of Chaoxia’s hoarse growl, “Go away! This countess isn’t seeing anyone!”
The maidservant, however, continued to have a smiling face as she comforted her, “Countess, this servant is Chun Tao. Open the door and let this servant in.”
Her eyes moved around as her smile deepened, “This servant has something to say to the countess, it’s about the Night Prince.
Hearing “Night Prince”, the countess seemed like she’d been shocked.
She ferociously got up and burst open the door.
When she saw the maidservant at the door, her brows furrowed, “It’s you?”
Chun Tao was still smiling, “Countess, this place, isn’t suitable for speaking.”
