Chapter 50.1 - Marrying the Night Prince

Lou Qingwu collected the prescription and looked at the sky before walking towards the silent Su Sheng, “If there’s nothing else, then this subject-girl will bid her farewells.”

Feng Yege nodded and only then did Lou Qingwu slowly turn around to push Su Sheng out of the courtyard.

But just as she was about to turn the corner, she couldn’t help but take a look back.

Feng Yege was still standing there with his back against the light.

His expression wasn’t clear but his phoenix eyes looked at her and she felt as if she’d been locked by him.

She silently turned around and pushed Su Sheng forwards.

They continued to walk outside of the residence and not too far away, the Su Sheng who’d been silent the whole time, unexpectedly spoke, “To him, you’re probably special.”

“En?” Lou Qingwu froze, then realised that she’d been speaking about Feng Yege.

She shook her head: “You saw wrongly.”

She and Feng Yege had only seen each other once when they were children and then never again.

Where could it be seen that they had a different relationship, apart from just then …

“Really?” Su Cheng lowered her eyes and lightly sighed but didn’t speak again.

Bystanders saw the most clearly when those involved couldn’t see clearly.

She didn’t think that she saw wrongly but she had no power to intrude in other people’s affairs.

She couldn’t even say e herself so how could she try to save someone else?

Inside Qingge Little Building, Feng Yege watched Lou Qingwu until she left completely, past the corner.

The warmth in his eyes completely went cold and even his voice was freezing: “Come out!”

His voice finished speaking and immediately, numerous black-clothed people jumped out.

They orderly knelt down behind him and their heads were extremely low.

It seemed like they’d made the wrong decision.

They shouldn’t have hesitated just because the opposite party was Countess of Chaoxia, and in just that moment of hesitation, allowed their master to be injured.

“Subordinates should die!”

Feng Yege’s eyes were still looking front-facing and hadn’t looked away: “Go and take thirty iron whip lashes.”

“Yes!” Even though those thirty whip lashes would half kill them, it was still a good thing that they hadn’t been sentenced to death.

The black-clothed people all sighed in relief.

“If there’s a next time, just throw out Xiahou Yiren.”

“Yes!”

They silently waited for Feng Yege to leave before facing each other, throwing her out?

That was a countess, but their master’s word was an imperial decree!

Even if the emperor of the heavens came, they definitely would still throw her out next time!

—- Lord Zong’s residence

The Countess of Chaoxia had red eyes as she ran home towards Lord Zong’s residence.

When she reached her Yaohua Courtyard, she exploded like thunder and lightening.

She threw and smashed nearly everything in her bedroom.

Her maidservants all knelt down and didn’t dare to speak another word.

They trembled as they knelt down as they watched the smash pieces of rubbish in front of them grow and grow.

The Countess of Chaoxia’s cries also grew even more and more mournful until the end, when her screams and howls made you want to tremble in horror.

Lord Zong had received news while he was outside of the residence and hurried back.

When he reached the door and saw the Countess of Chaoxia like that, he hurried forward and held her raised hands.

He took down a china porcelain vase from her hands, “Yi’er ah, what are you doing?”

“Father!” Countess of Chaoxia cried and howled, her heart felt wronged and especially when she thought of Feng Yege’s cold gaze, hatred burned in her heart.

But she just didn’t know what to do.

Apart from resentment, only jealousy was stronger, her jealousy of Lou Qingwu.

The jealousy grew in her heart like it had taken root, slowly growing inside.

“Exactly what happened?” Imperial prince Zong carefully and lovingly held her in his embrace.

She was his daughter that he’d gotten late in life and was his only daughter, so he’d spoilt her from the day she was born.

How could he let her suffer any grievance?

TL note:

Prince Zong will be Imperial prince Zong because he’s the brother of the current emperor and is ranked higher than just a normal unranked prince. It’s also better to separate the true princes who are the emperor’s sons from the previous princes who have become ranked.

Whereas the Night Prince should actually be called duke or lord because he’s not the son of the emperor either, but the son of the emperor’s other brother. He’s a “wang ye” and it’s too late to just let it be “wang ye” orz. They also say Night Prince Feng Yege a lot, which is why I translated his title or otherwise, it’d be Lord Ye Feng Yege which, I thought, was hard to read.

Leave a comment and to see the countess be a spoilt brat xx
